if the mods look orange in wrye bash it's just oddly sorted masters in the apropos2.esp

if the mods are red than something realy went wrong.

that's how apropos2 masters are colored in wyre bash on my (working) setup:

He said "red", not "orange". Red = missing master.  At this point I'm going to want screenshots from @Angeleou before attempting to help any further. I suspect there is a lot of missing information here.

yes that's why I tried to find out in a subtile way if it's an color issue or a missing master issue ?

maybe we even get a pic from that issue now ?

Orange doesn't matter.  Its not a problem.

#1. No. It just means it can't find the description customized for draugr for those events. It actually fallsback to a neutral folder (FemaleActor iirc) for the largeload and goback messages.

#2 Possibly. If it was attempting to apply a facial tattoo (for tears, sobs, mascara smears), and face tats have not been enabled in your NioOverride.ini file, or if there aren't enough slots (I set mine to 5), then it fails.

TY gooser, that helped me!    another mod changed the setting to 0, so I had to change it back  :)

Hello :)
I've been having a problem with the synonyms showing up blank during the descriptions. I have all the prerequisites. Everything on my apropos install is in its default state (i.e. haven't edited anything).

I have attached my apropos and papyrus log files.

Thank you!

Is it during all stages, or just certain stages?  I've found this most often happens to me when Apropos is generating multiple messages at once, such as Intro/Stage 1, and Orgasm/Stage x.

Hi, sorry for silence. I am finding it hard to get on LL due to site congestions, even with Cloudflare.

Which version of JContainers do you have installed and where did you obtain it?

I know, the site has been hard to get to lately.

I currently have version 3.2.6 from the nexus. I just switched it to that because I thought upgrading to version 3.3 would fix my problems, but it made it worse.

Ok, I'm using 3.2.6 from the Nexus as well.

Do you have a lot of mods installed?

Yeah, about 100

Gosh, after four days, I'm back on.

That's not a lot of mods but it does depend upon what they are.

I finished a big playthrough using the latest Apropos2 on LL and I think I saw the missing text behavior twice. It does happen. It started to happen when we exceeded some magical limit in the Synonyms.txt list.  Unfortunately.

If you have other mods that are script heavy, or string heavy, that could affect it.

Hmm, it seems like only {PRIMARY} and {ACTIVE} work though....?

First of all, I'm loving this mod, the descriptions and the wear nd tear are great additions and I can't get enough, but there's a small problem I'm having and I'm not sure what's causing it.

It's honestly simple, whenever my character (female) has sex with another woman, no dialogue is coming up for it. Dialogue is coming up for everything else; creatures, animals, bandits, but just not for women.

So this happened, got attacked by Sabrecat, wild animals are dangerous in my Skyrim, got knocked off horse, then mounted by Sabrecat. Then some Stormcloaks showed up and killed it. This was 'witness intervene' in - Defeat - it caused apropos messages to keep playing as if my character was still in a SL scene with Sabrecat.

The only way to get the message to disappear was to start another SL scene.

I have seen this. When playing with SL + Defeat sometimes if an actor in a scene gets killed, the scene doesn't stop immediately (esp if you "kill" in console). Apropos only listens to SL events. So if the event is delayed in SL because of Defeat, combat, or papyrus pressure, strange things can happen.

Messages I think will stick around for 7 seconds normally.

Ive done a full reinstall cause im using a new file, and I still cant get any descriptions up for females, except in one occasion, where I had sex with a female Orc selling Skooma, that was the only time sex with a female has brought up descriptions, but the descriptions that were brought up assumed she was male with a penis (it was oral sex)

Yes, don't beat yourself or computer up. there are known problems - both with logic and just plain missing data files that need to be written.

Bringing this back up because it did cause me to do some research, but I've never had much issue with your older mod, even when it was being updated. So, if this issue arouse further down the production line on your older mod, I did not experience it. Unless "people in the past" refers to Apropos2's earlier builds. As of now, your older Apropos still works in my game. I do really like the newer options, so I was looking into clean slating and installing this version. Just wondering if I need to take the extra steps.

What language/version of Skyrim do you have installed?

English.

The STRINGS thing is only needed for non-English versions of Skyrim.

From the OP:

Quote

*.STRINGS files must be in the UTF8 format.

User @egon123 wrote a quick guide for people using localized (e.g. German) versions of Skyrim whose .STRINGS files need to be converted into UTF-8:

If you have the US/English version of Skyrim your STRINGS files should already be in the UTF-8 format.

All my characters are pale asf ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I would just take it as weird textures from the tats that Apropos chose to use, but I get the seams at the same spot for Being a Cow and for Bathing in Skyrim... I suppose this method of applying effects is just prone to hip seams. Kinda sucks but at least I know that it's not just my issue and I wont spend another 10 afternoons troubleshooting.

ty for your insight.

Dunno if anything more has been said on this subject, but I can confirm the method of application has nothing to do with the seams, at LEAST on UNP. I use UNP (pale ones at that), and have tried applying the overlay (with a layer mask created using the alpha in Photoshop) directly onto a UNP skin texture, and when that texture is applied to a UNP mesh the bruises have the same seam severity. As soon as I remove the overlay from said UNP texture it fits the body fine.

I myself assumed it was because the texture was made for CBBE, but refused to switch, lol. I'm glad I didn't; instead, I ended up editing the textures to... "fit" by erasing some parts of the bruising, since I can't get Blender to work right on my laptop, so no texture painting for me anymore. :(

Unfortunately, since editing, I've made SO MANY changes that I'm not sure I could upload it as a viable conversion now even if I had permission.

Also, I'm having trouble getting this to work. I knew about the texture seams based on the original Apropos, as well as having used Slave Tats to see how they looked; they apply that way without any trouble.

But using Apropos 2, I enabled and adjusted all my wear and tear settings and used the 'Test on player' option. Nothing happened. I saw no effects, not visual, mechanical, textures, nothing. All requirements say "ok".

Possibly related, when I go to the "wear and tear actors" tab, no NPCs nor myself are being tracked. I have no mods except this one, its dependencies, and its dependencies' dependencies, as well as USLEEP and SKSE, and a custom race. What could be the cause? Does this not work on custom races? I could maybe see an issue with the textures (even though slave tats work), but the debuffs and visuals I don't understand...

(Also, I tried it on a vanilla Nord and she too had no effects applied.)

Edit: It was quite a wait, but eventually, it started tracking my PC. But the effects still do nothing when I test them.

"Test of player" is currently not hooked up. I added it for Content Consumer some time back, and in A2 it is not enabled.
