I don't think so, but a safe bet for identifying Apropos comments is they will show up in a custom widget.  By default that means on the left hand side of your screen, but not the system messages at the very top-left.

 

If the comments you are referring to are regular dialogues or using the game's system messages, it is probably another mod.  I don't think Apropos ties into arousal levels, altho some of the wear/tear increase and decrease messages would look like they do.

Its on the middle left. Its the same place where what APPEARS to be wear and tear messages show. Things like messages about your ass feeling less sore.

 

But I've noticed other apparent Apropos messages regarding animations are top left. Things like "_ wants to _ your _ _ more" when an attacker goes back a stage (and as far as I know, this is all I have set to replay stages... Plus the use of synonyms seem to indicate Apropos).

 

One thing I HAVE noticed is that while my Apropos messages are in second person, the arousal messages I'm seeing are in first person. They say things like "I heard a rumor that horny women go to a cave to have sex with trolls. That sounds good about now." It goes against everything about the character I'm trying to play, I don't care for things telling me who my character is, I'd rather decide for myself.

 

I have no idea where this is coming from. It's persisted through several different mod lists. If its SexLab Aroused, there's no MCM option to disable it, which sucks. >.< 

 

Edit: I uninstalled this, and loaded my game. Ignoring her purple body from missing wear and tear textures, I waited 3 days until her arousal was 100, but saw no messages. I then reinstalled it, and waited only 1 day before I immediately saw two messages in a row, both of which bothered me...

Those are probably wear and tear decrease messages - not all of them are about things not being sore, some of them are about your character getting horny because they haven't had sex recently.  Check the femaleactor folder in the Apropos database for weartear messages.

Yes, those are messages from W&T healing. They were authored that way by user Decauk ages ago.

Wow, well I'm glad I know what to turn off now. At the very least, it seems unrealistic to me; I wouldn't consider selling my body or having sex with animals just because a single day has gone by since getting gang raped to the point of bruising and bleeding. At least its optional, LOL!

You can edit the dialogues to suit your tastes - they are contained in the text files I mentioned in the Apropos database folder.  So you can simply delete the lines that don't fit your character's personality and leave the ones that do, or add your own lines.  Of course, the other option is to simply disable W&T messages if you don't want any of them to show.

Yeah, I thought about doing that as well... Now that I finally know where to find them (thank you for that, by the way). For now, I'll just leave them off until I have time to edit them. I know I sound pretty prudish, but what can I say? After all, I doubt most of those messages were written with the idea that female gamers would be using this mod. I mostly use mods like this to make the world seem way more harsh, beyond simple survival mods, so I like to think that, as a victim most of the time (rather than a willing participant), my PC is sort of the opposite of a slut.

Incidentally, I've considered adding in the next release a feature where Apropos does directly comment on player (or NPC) arousal state - and culling those lines that Decauk contributed ages ago from the W&T directory for the player. That way, W&T only talks about W&T. SL Aroused has some primitive messaging that pops up occasionally in the old Skyrim Notification area.

That's actually a very nice idea. Yeah, aroused says things like "I am being driven by my desires..." Simple, but more versatile as well. I might use aroused messages in this if I can edit them to be a bit less... Skanky.

Looking for some help to get Apropos 2 to work with SSE. I have the script posted on page 4, just not sure what to do with it exactly. I've tried to just replace Apropos2SystemConfig.pex with the one posted on page 4 to no avail. I've also tried updating the mod to form 44 still nothing. Any help would be very appreciated, before i even tried to mod SSE i made sure that this mod was working or could be made to work with SSE, as its one of my favorites. Once i seen that others were able to get it to work i started modding SSE from oldrim.

Oh, BTW, it seems the new Prison Overhaul Patched DOES have whip decals like the original Prison Overhaul, perhaps I just didn't notice because they were gone within seconds, and are rather faint. I'll try setting my decals to last longer.

I would attempt to test the widget in MCM. If you don't see anything on screen - probably a conflict with another HUD mod, or camera mod.

 

If you do see the test, turn on debug/trace in Apropos MCM and run a couple of scenes - then post the papyrus0.log AND apropos0.log files here,.

Hello people wanted to say first great mod.

 

Try to translate the mod in German. Have the problem that he sometimes does not recognize the name and synonyms. If the sex scene is beednet and I again, for example Anal scene durchlauf he usually recognizes, for example. Stage2 right again. Can it be that if the name is not recorded correctly then the synonyms can not be read. Do not know, that could be lying ahead.

 

And even a question to the creator of the mod is actually the possibility of Boobjob also the Large and Huge Load description to activate.

Nope, not using any other HUD mods.  I did the test widget and it worked (altho the text was in some other language for some strange reason) But the mod will never trigger.  I just uninstalled it and will wait for the official version to come out.  I dont have the patience to mess with it anymore.

hi is there a version that doesnt require hearthfire? as when i installed this, with the mod manager, i noticed it requires hearthfire esm, which is the only expansion that i didnt care to get?

 

i noticed the classic apropos, it didnt need it

 

and is it me, or using NMM, it seems the response is very slow when installing, like it freezes NMM for me, never had a mod do that and i have installed several

It doesn't actually need any of the DLC, it just says it does.  If you open the esp with TES5Edit and Clean Masters, the dependencies to all 3 DLC go away.   Probably just an oversight.  The author will likely want to clean that for the next release.
