Why you want it: As much as we love FO4, we have to admit the plot is weaksauce and makes no goddamn sense.  Four groups that all want to blow up the other three for really lame reasons, and often against their own best interest. 

 

For example, if the BoS covets technology so much then why would they want to just nuke the biggest cache of advanced technology left in the country?  If the RR wipes out the Institute then they're condemning all synths (themselves included) to extinction because they're the only one who can make new synths (As Deacon himself points out, Gen3s are sterile and can't have children).  Why would the Minutemen feel threatened by anyone who isn't a raider, or for that matter why would anyone who isn't a raider feel threatened enough by the Minutemen to attack them?  How come winning the Director's chair doesn't give you any real power to do anything worthwhile with this treasure trove of power & technology?  Just because Shaun is a prick shouldn't mean that you have to follow in his footsteps.

 

This mod fixes ALL of that!  You can, as the new Director, simply order the release of the Gen3s and then just tell the Railroad to go find a new job.  You can oust Maxson and return the BoS to their original values of helping the people of the world rather than being a bunch of quasi-nazis out to conquer and exterminate everyone.  You can get rid of the Institute's biggest assholes and take them down a more ethical path that helps everyone in the Commonwealth and not just themselves.  In fact, as General, you can even get justification for disposing of Preston, which is handy if you feel like becoming Overboss someday and don't want to listen to his whining.

 

In other words, it gives you the potential to finish the story in ways that actually fucking make sense and don't require wiping out any of the four factions, if you so choose.  It's well written, adds plenty of new content, and yet doesn't take too long to finish.  It rewrites the main story into what, IMHO, it should have been from the start.

 

It also adds lots of strippers, which is a nice bonus.

Yea the only nuisance I see is that it has a dependency for a 800mb mod ? but I've been waiting for the mod to come out so I'll have to give it a shot

For those that don't know, Project Valkyrie is a DLC size quest mod that is the third in a series of quest mods by Thuggysmurf and his crew.

Fusion City Rising is the first in the series and connects to Project Valkyrie as well as the second in the series, Outcasts and Remnants (especially since Valkyrie needs Outcasts installed to even function.)

All three of these mods compliment each other and I highly recommend installing them together for your playthroughs.

After playing with Project Valkyrie I would not play without it ,it really is a must have addon and makes the game a million times better , Beth should have made the game like this in the first place. ?

If I have them all do the quests flow in a nice order or do the mods step on each other somewhat? It would be cool if they go in order since I've long had Fusion City Rising but never played through it.

I'd do all of Fusion City first, then start on Outcasts. I'd leave Valkyrie for last. Outcasts and Valkyrie have some references towards Fusion City but the quests involved don't overlap or get in the way of each other.

so just a quick question about this mod and Outcasts And Remnants.

 

Does anyone have a bug when creatures are talking in human subtitles saying things like "I'm glad that is over" or whatever human settlers normally say

or is it just me

 

 

 

btw the screenshots had only 1 mod active which was Outcasts and Remnants (apart from the massive load of beth mods I gotten for free)

 

Turns out that while I downloaded the latest version, but I didn't install it for some reason.

I fall from this preston mania. I took out the item ... "The preston you pay for" part after you didn't have to do a screaming program from the window ... I avoided it through 100 levels and since it broke my brother's grace was easy. I'm looking for jail, but I don't. He went back to the window to whine. I saw him from afar to shoot from there. You hit the goal before your nose for the 10th shot. However, I've never seen so many robberies more than a dozen power armor clowns. Is it not clear if you use sexual services provided by my daughters during combat, ask for permission, break, rest, or have a back door?
Why did not all the activities associated with the punishment period have been blocked? Maybe this time of punishment is limited in time and it will expire soon? There is this "Enough About the Settlements Preston" something that I don't know what it does because the mission whims are constant.

"A preston ezért megfizetsz" rész alkalmával miután nem kellett az ablakból kiabálós műsort csinálni... 100 szinten át elkerültem és mivel a bordélyomba évezte a lányaim kegyeit könnyű volt. Keresem a börtönbe, de nincs. Visszament az ablakba nyafogni. Messziről láttam, hogy onnan lődöz. Az orra előtti célt eltalálja úgy a 10. lövésre. Mindamellett még soha nem láttam ennyi rablót több mint tucat nehéz páncélban  bohóckodik. Nem világos, ha a lányaim által nyújtott szexuális szolgáltatásokat igénybe veszi harc közben engedélyt, szünetet, pihenőt kér vagy van egy hátsó ajtó? 
Miért nem blokkolt az összes tevékenység ami hozzá fűződik a büntetési időre? Esetleg ez a büntetési idő korlátozott idejű és hamar letelik?  Van ez a "Enough About the Settlements Preston" valami ami nem tudom mit csinál mivel a küldetési nyafogások állandók. 

.. és élvezem a vicces szerkesztőket.

I was wondering those playing this mod can they confirm if this mod is compatible with kinggath new simsettlement conquerer ?? Right now i am gonna start building new mod list and want to include these mods in my list.

I think it should be compatible. (I have both installed but I haven't played valkyrie lately)

 

it might act up if you killed Preston in SS Conqueror but i am not entirely sure

so i don't believe that outcasts and valkyrie interact with settlements so let us know if there are problems

I had to get rid of Fusion City Rising as its interiors have far too many people and drove the memory use of FO4 up to the point that it took up all free memory (10gb where the game normally uses less than half that even downtown) and generally crashed (several times it crashed the computer). They need to cut down on the possible number of npc's (added randomly, as many as 50 - 100 per their description) and use occlusion planes on its large interiors to reduce overload.

OK, after playing through Project Valkyrie and Outcasts and Remnants this is my thoughts / review of the mods:

 

Content was good, closed a lot of holes in the story and added several endings.

Voice acting was done well and the player is voiced throughout though it is a bit odd at times but considering what they had to work with it was a good job.

Quests were so-so. Mainly fetch quests and throw a LOT of tougher enemies at you and I do mean a lot. There were some decent original quests in it as well.

Project Valkyrie, Outcasts and Remnants and Fusion City Rising all work well together (as designed) but I have one big issue with the mods: Most custom interiors (especially larger ones) eat a ton of memory, the Institute at the end had the game using 12gb of ram (of 16gb) and just about all of the interiors of Fusion City Rising did the same (had to remove that as it consistently crashed the game or my pc). Even many exterior locations required a large amount of data loading which could take 30 seconds or more (this with a SATA 3 SSD) though it seemed to be more of an issue with the game than CPU or Drive limits as neither generally hit more than 70% at worst during these times. This happened at places where even just a few things were added (doors or other minor things) and happened with locations Fusion City Rising edited (very minor changes) but in all of these cases it dropped my frame rates to about 3 fps the entire time it loaded and happened whenever those cells loaded again. Considering I generally get 30 fps in downtown Boston and no load delays it seemed excessive.

 

Overall, I liked it but the performance issues happen too often and are too bad to ignore. I have played it once and now I will be removing it.

If you want to get rid of Preston, there is a light-weight alternative - Preston is killable by SKK. This one works, you are free to choose any time to get rid of him - can just shoot him straight away in the Museum if you want to, but  this will turn everyone else hostile and mortal... hehehe, Momma Murphy, have you seen that coming in one of your visions, eh? Come get some, you stupid peasants!

 

I didn't like the Fusion City because a city under the Glowing  Sea easily overshadowing the Institute was just too silly for me. I didn't like Outcasts and Remnants because of its heavily-scripted corridor shooting arena's with predictable enemy spawns - you take stuff and enemies  start spawning all over  the map out of the vacuum.  Oh, and the Enclave yet again? We destroyed it in FO2 completely, then Bethesda revived it in FO3, luckily they tried making something new in FO4 (whenever something good came out of it is a matter of discussion though), but wasn't reviving it again a bit too much of a cliché? And Project Valkyrie sounds more like a bunch of quotes from Reddit discussions shaped into a quest mod - this doesn't help the game to start making any sense, but rather emphasizes on how nonsensical it is. Valkyrie is surely a babe, and the voicing is outstanding, and that streak of insanity she has just makes her even more attractive - but turning the Institute into some kind of a strip club in the end just puts a goofy icing on top of an already nonsensical cake the game is. It makes the game totally grotesque. Uh. No.

 

P.S. Besides the original purpose of the BoS was never "helping the people of the world". The thing is - Maxson is the one returning the Brotherhood to its original purpose: keeping the technology out of the hands of those wanting to abuse it by all means available, including the extermination of any potential abusers. Yes, Bethesda blew it again by making Maxson into some kind of a little Hitler, but FO3 BoS was a joke. A true to the lore BoS would find a way to disable all synths and security (that would be your job, apparently) and then would take the Institute by a quick and violent assault to secure the area and data, not caring in the slightest about anything else.

As expected of the author they were no help with my issue of excessive memory usage (pushing my game to use 12gb instead of the usual 5gb max) and loading and just deleted my post. My issue was not covered in their FAQ and truthfully there is no reason that adding a simple store front over an existing boarded up one should cause my game to slow to under 2 fps for 10 seconds due to loading large amounts of data (which happens in every exterior cell they have altered).

What i was wondering did anyone notice major lag spike with this mod installed ? not sure what but my pc could never play this mod right, i think it was due it loose files even if you tried to use ba2 method i still could not get this mod to work right. or maybe that is why my pc ultimatly died.
