Pfiffy Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 This sounds a bit familiar to me. I have that every time I switch betweesn Skyrim SE and oldrim. If I start SE (Even if I don't play it) and try to start LE afterwards the game does no longer respond to the keybord. The only way out is to end the game with ctrl-alt-del and reboot the computer. SE does not make any problems and as long as I don't start SE LE works without any problems.

As GenioMaestro indicated, there has been one little thing after another with my Razer. This is as good a choice as any.

As it first appeared I looked for infos but didn't found a solution and then I didn't play LE for a while, so I no longer care. But now I got myself back to modelling and have to swithch more often...

I actually have a very ancient IBM keyboard. Quite funny! First keyboard I ever owned and I'm still using it - in fact it's exactly twenty years this month! The letters haven't even worn off (the O and A are getting a little faded, but only a little)! If it ever dies, I'll buy myself something nice, but as long as it works, it works!

IMPOSSIBLE! whats with all the energydrinks, cola, beer, parts of cookies, tabacco, germs, human organic acids, troll fat, dwemer oil that might have ended on the keyboard? ? on my last razor keyboard the letters AWSD just vanished after 3 years => after that energy drinks and cola killed it on my microsoft keyboard the space key gave up after 1 year (THE SPACE KEY! ON A GAMING KEYBOARD! WTF!), didnt even play egoshooters... maybe it was important for eve online i dont remember but this cerberus has keys that are so high that i think they floating, enough space below them to store a sack of tabacco or a sea of cola and still be able to game on^^ okey not much action most of the time while modding skyrim tho... ?

I really not see necesary change the keyboard/mouse for a software problem, until you really need that software, of course.

Those old keyboards are really lowtech which means... put them in a washing machine (for dishes, not clothes), let them dry and you're good to go. Works at least for spilled drinks, less good on tobacco which is the reason i actually buy new ones every now and then, but... i always try to get one as cheap as possible to stay low tech.^^ I've decided to stay away from logitech since i had a similar problem with my mouse though - it stopped working sometimes. After i've changed everything except case and keyboard at least once on the whole computer piece by piece (mouse first, then power, then mainboard and cpu,...) i figured out it was a bug in the keyboard.^^ Annoying as fuck, i can't forgive them that.
