Anyone have any advice? Ask around, see if any of the named or numbered NPCs there have something for you to say. Doing a few tasks or favors will let allow you entrance into the storage. Or read the solution here if you can't figure it out: Spoiler - Talk to Hervis, do his task and suck him off (or don't) - Talk to 27, she will request you get her a chastity belt - Talk to Karo, be obedient and he'll let you into the living quarters - Get chastity belt from under the counter, get the key from the table in the tavern, and grab a random bottle of nord mead - Get back to the door, give Karo the mead - Give 27 the items you got, and tell her you want the distraction now - Talk to Ademar and exchange the blindfold for a gag - Go into the storeroom and read the ledger while the distraction scene plays Edited January 24, 2022 by Taki17

Dovahkiin7887sk Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Hi Laura! I was wondering if you could help a new modder. I am having an issue where anytime my character gets bound (for example with thotium or by laura), nothing actually happens. I am able to run around with no affects and no equipped gear. What should I do? Thank you!

First of all, make sure you are running the latest and required version of DD. Next, provide a log from the time of the incident. 2

New save is currently the only way. Sorry. 22 minutes ago, Lyreal said: In console: Stopquest [QuestID] Resetquest [QuestID] Startquest [QuestID] This will probably break things. My quests have too much stuff going on to do it that way. Actors need to be in their base position, all doors need to be in their base state and actors may need to be resurrected and stuff like that. 2

Technically, you could add a quest stage early at quest startup that checks and sets everything in place for the quest a quest stage at the end the release, clean up and remove everything that should be gone, when the quest is done. or you add a management quest to perform these tasks in the background . Both techniques are used in other story-telling mods like yours. It might add a few bugs here and there, but once you have them in place, the overall stability and usability might profit. ? Though it would be a considerable amount of work to add that piece of player's comfort. 1

Teasing is fun, but I can't really build up all that myserious stuff and do nothing with it. You've been chasing her for a while and you found a good clue, I can't really make the player chase her for 5 more quests. 2

The thing with the perfect girl is that it has to keep moving forward to keep it interesting. If it feels like it's going nowhere it would just be boring. But having to move forward means that you'll eventually reach the end. All the build up with Sloane, Jade and the perfect girl. I hope the end will be good enough. 3

I'm hoping, with Sloane's patience nearing its end, and with all that Laura has gone through, that PC can keep Sloane "distracted" for a few days or weeks while Katarina and Laura run the final gauntlet to get the "perfect girl", rather than them having to suffer while PC possibly fiddles awkwardly around trying to find her. With her cretin of a husband gone, I imagine being her bed slave to be at least tolerable, as long as her guards don't touch.

MysticDaedra Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 (edited) I'm having a problem with the Origin quest, using the patch from page 207. Spoiler After Sloan tells my character to wear something nice for the guest, I do not get an updated quest notification, and my character cannot leave the bed: pressing E causes the PC to leave the bed and then immediately re-enter the bed. Since others haven't had this issue, I assume it's probably a script conflict of some sort. I know this scene is on rails, but is there a quest stage I could try setstage with to get to the next part of the quest? EDITL: It had something to do with a spell mod (I think) that altered the paralyze effect that the bandit cast on the husband. A little TFC to get the ID of the actor, disabled and enabled, the moveto fixed. Edited January 28, 2022 by MysticDaedra

She has nightmares about that place, she's not going to let you do that to yourself. Darius is gone, but Sloane is a different kind of evil. It won't be tolerable. It's great that you're willing to do that for them, but it's not going to happen. It's also much better if you find the perfect girl yourself. That's much more interesting than waiting for people to do it offscreen. 10 hours ago, MysticDaedra said: I'm having a problem with the Origin quest, using the patch from page 207. I've been wondering why a couple people are saying Doran is stuck. Interesting that it could be because of the paralyze spell. I'll take a look at how Doran is handled when the player is removed from the inn, see about a clean way to reset him.

About 1/4 chance that he was still on the ground. So I disabled and enabled Doran and we didn't encounter it again. Can't say if this new issue is related to paralysis though.

He's also killed twice ? It may be beneficial to specifically remove the paralysis effect from him in Function StartBasementIntroScene(), prior to Doran.Reset() on line 398.

Oh, is the patch meant for LE? That could explain some of it I guess. The thing is that the paralyze effect was never cleared from Doran, probably just a moveto to the position outside the door to the bedroom? After clearing the effect he worked fine (except pathing around Sloan and Darius was a bit tricky for him lol).

All I picked up, aside from how vengeful she is, was that she was an enabler and snob. I only really got a good grasp on what Darius was like. Perhaps the idea could be applied elsewhere. Maybe a group of slavers come in, somehow get the jump on Katarina, and you walk in on them with a blade to Laura's throat. Rather than risking them slitting Laura's throat, and not wanting to have her taken as a slave for some rando, you volunteer yourself. You're taken to a slave market, bought by a woman/man(whichever you prefer), and made to cook, clean, look cute, and warm the bed while Laura and Katarina get revenge and search for you. I know it's not very interesting for a lot of people to do basic chores and pleasure a slave owner while they wait for rescue, though. I'm just throwing this out there.

The LE version works without the changes made there. Ok, well, the LE version works with those same changes, but they aren't necessary ? SE introduced a bug in the way the MoveTo command works, so I had to come up with a workaround. I'm looking at adding a line to the quest that will definitively clear the paralysis spell from Doran, but, um, ok, I have no idea how the scene applies it so I'm not sure how to remove it ? I mean I could remove the effect, but I don't know what effect to remove ID wise. Can I ask what version of SE you are using? 1.5.97 or 1.6+? 1
