Don't remember what his name is, he comes up to you when you hobble into the inn and mistakes you for Njadi.  You argue with him and eventually he will tell you Njadi is in the side room.

Okay, so this mod isn't compatible with Realistic Room Rental, I guess.

EDIT :: Got it. Thank you for your help.

? That could be something about quest/dialogue priorities. Perhaps a thing for Laura to consider if it can be enhanced.

In my opinion, Laura's dialogue should win with a higher priority than the room rental thing. Though we don't know what other mod makers do with their stuff or don't.

It definitely reorganizes and redoes the layout of the Inn, and she even ends up sitting in a chair inside of a table. Not only that, but the guy isn't anywhere to be seen with the mod. I'm lucky I do rolling saves, and that RRR has a function in the MCM that allows for a slightly more cleaner removal while I'm out in the wild, I was able to continue on.

Speaking of continuing on, I finished Origin. There were some issues caused by a cooking mod that changed the recipes, and I needed to use console commands to add needed ingredients (Green Apples and Garlic). Aside from that, and remembering solutions to certain issues some people had posted here, I was able to get my heart torn out by the story, and then stomped on by the realization that it's like crack and I need to know what happens next.

OK ... so I have been playing on SE for quite some time, but I finally got LE to work on my machine.  Lots of issues with my system being too powerful and fast for an older game version.  I still cannot do a vanilla start to the game as the physics in the carriage ride makes everything go bat-shit crazy ... even when I am locked at 60 FPS.  Good thing Live Another Life (LAL) is around.  While I do see a little bugginess in LE, I have noticed that nearly every mod that was originally built for LE and then ported over to SE runs far more smoothly on LE.  This was the main thing that I wanted to check and the reason why I wanted to make LE work.

So, the main reason for this post actually has to do with DCL's LAL add-on.  Has anyone ever noticed, or am I simply imagining, that the captive girl wearing a yoke in the cell who tells you where you can find the keys for your armbinder is named "Laura" and bears a striking resemblance to a rather unique shop owner in Whiterun?

Just curious.

This should solve your problem: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/91598 May need to adjust the target framerates in the config though.

What's most curious is there are at least 2 or 3 Lauras in DCL.

You know what's even weirder? The amount of men named "Matt" that I knew. Like, AT LEAST two!

I haven't played with DCL in a while so I don't know what she looks like. I also don't know which one came first. You'd have to ask Kimy if she has anything to do with my mod.

Yeah, this is a known conflict with some cooking mods.  The posts dealing with it are back like 5 or 8 or whatever pages, and kinda got buried when I started working on fixing the stuck NPC issue.  My fault probably, I get really chatty when I'm trying to solve a problem (you should see the annoyingly long DMs to Laura ?).

The Realistic Rooms issue I think is a new one, thanks for finding it.

With Origin more or less fixed for SE it's probably time to start going back and making a consolidated list of known conflicts and fixes/workarounds.  @Laura I can use my blog thingy here to start getting it all organized if you like, so you can add it to the first post.  People could post their solutions there, keep it from filling up the main thread.

I actually tried that mod and as soon as it was enabled I had a constant CDT on game startup.  I ended up downloading Nvidia Profile Inspector and everything works awesomely ... except for the vanilla start.  Fortunately, LAL has a nice selection of alternatives.

I haven't seen that many reports of SE working with the fix. Only a few. Do you think it definitely fixed it?

I already have a few things on my todo list and I made a seperate list for known issues that I can't fix myself.

Well, people stopped posting about the quest getting stuck and having to try console workarounds, so I'm optimistic.  I mean it would be nice if people actually came back and told us, but you know, internet.  People will complain in a heartbeat but won't come back after you fix things to say, "that worked, thank you."

I was thinking more of a list of things like,

  • "Laura not displaying all dialogues":  Known to be caused by third-party voice pack, and will likely get worse with every LBS update.
  • "I can't cook stuff in Origin quest":  Caused by cooking mods that alter vanilla recipes.
  • "I can't talk to Nadji in the inn":  Caused by mods that alter the interior of vanilla inns.

Basically, a list of things that aren't your fault because some other mod is changing the way the vanilla game works, and you are in no way obligated to make changes to LBS to support someone else's particular mod list.

If you have issues you can't fix, let me know and I'll take a look. ?  (I have access to both LE and SSE)

So far on my SE (AE) playthrough i got here at Origin and then stuck:

- Prepare rabbit Haunch

- Sleep

- Follow the guard... stuck.

I walked out of the cage and bump into him from different sides but he's not moving at all. I can see there was 2 more same reports long ago:

https://www.loverslab.com/topic/107764-devious-devices-lauras-bondage-shop-7-oct-2021-v332/page/179/#comment-3525347

On 1 note the guard is looking upwards, probably eye-tracking some other npc in other floor.

Edit: This esp fixed it for now. Guard first forcegreeted me as soon as i woke up when previously i had to aim and talk to him. Guard is now walking upstairs...

Ofc i loaded a save before i went to sleep. I imagine it wouldn't help much loading to a state where it is already stuck.

Edit2: Finished the whole cinematic place but when i came back to shop, Laura stays in bed and "is too busy" to talk to. Quest arrow points to her. Even if i wait for hours at daytime she keeps sleeping.

I also disabled the fix esp but it is still happening. I can "wake her up" with console command "moveto player" but she can't be talked to because she's busy. She will just walk back to bed to take this infinite nap ?

I had the same issue with the vanilla start.  It has to do with problems with the cart meshes.  This mod fixed it for me:  https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/8004

Which version of the mod are you using, Laura's Bondage Shop v3.32 SSE version - by tznvlw.7z (from the file download section) or Laura's Bondage Shop v3.32 SSE Alpha Test Version - fixes by aurreth.7z (found on page 207)?  I assume, since you are using a patch from page 184 (that is based on version 3.31 of the mod), that it's the first one.

Yes, the guard is looking up at Hinde, who is on the 2nd floor above where she is supposed to be in her cell in the basement.  The Alpha Test version specifically addresses this problem, as well as similar problems with NPCs not being placed where they belong.

When you return to the shop after exiting the dream sequence you are supposed to talk to Sona, not Laura.  Sona should be there having a conversation with Katarina, Laura is in her bed.  The issue here is that if the dream scene gets bugged various NPCs don't end up where they are supposed to (they don't get properly moved at the end of the dream), which causes the shop scene to bug.  Again, the Alpha Test hopefully corrects this by making sure everybody ends up where they are supposed to.

And yes, I have a vested interest in the "fixed" version 'cause I "fixed" it. ?  But we know for sure that the version from the file download area is broken, so people really should be using the Alpha Test so we can decide if it does indeed work and the changes get pushed to the next release version.

Greetings.  I have been enjoying my play through of this mod - its a good one! However, I seem to have run into an unavoidable block with the quest Origin.  Quite simply: it won't start. I receive the notice that the quest has started and that I am to now touch the totem.  When I do - my screen goes black and freezes. A very frustrating form of a CTD.

I have looked for anyone else that has had this problem but there doesn't seem to be anyone. Google did not provide any joy as well. Anyone have any suggestions? Does anyone know the Quest ID and stages so I can move the quest along? I would like to progress properly through the quest chain but at the moment my play through appears done. TIA!

EDIT: Forgot to mention: SE version 3.32

Looking to get some help if anyone has encountered the same issue, any devices that the mod trys to equip to my PC will not show up in my inventory or equip at all, this is for all devices that are tried, from the tie me up options to the wear a belt for X time quest. Deviously cursed loot's items equip fine when triggering an event however, anyone know the issue?

Are you using the fixed version or the regular one?

If they do work in other mods, something could be wrong with the install of LBS. Are you using the correct version of the mod? Like the SE version for Skyrim Special Edition.

Quest stages probably won't help in Origin.  The quest is driven by a master script which coordinates and calls scenes.  Quest stages are set by that master script as a means of tracking progress.  If I'm reading the script correctly (and I've spent LOTS of time crawling through it) setstage will not cause the quest to advance but will more than likely cause things to get really screwed up.

So, first question, which LBS version are you using, the one from the main file download section, or the Alpha Test version from page 207 of this thread?  This is important, because the script is different for the two versions.

That was not the issue for me, Sona and Katarina were there sitting (just sitting, not talking) by the table but i can't talk to them either. It doesn't open a dialog or trigger anything. I tried even quick waiting an hour.

I think i was using the official SE version 3.32 by tznvlw before, but also tried the page 207 version now. It behaved the same.

And now also tried the 3rd plain 3.32 version that had no "by someone".

Unless some fixes are type that need a new game or script cleaning?

After changing to the Alpha Test did you go back to a save from before Origin started, i.e. from before you returned the sword to Glemme?  If not you still have the old script running in your saved game and the fixes won't take effect.

That is a good point, all recent tries were during Origin. I'll see what's most fitting old save then... I take it i'll be trying with the alpha test.

Yes, use Alpha and a save from before starting Origin.  See if that works.

There were no bugs in the cinematics section, i started all the way back from delivering the sword at Dragon's Bridge. But same as before, Sona and Katarina are sitting at table and not responding.

UIExtensions 1.2.0, PapyrusUtil AE downloaded 12 Jan 2022. Don't know what other mods you could be relying on.
