Always ask somebody for help or a solution. Here is the big list of making your life easier. I had deeper issues with DCL beside the slowdowns. If it were only that and I was really interested in further using it, I would've altered it myself for my personal use. As it stands now, there are other mods that fullfill the functionality I wanted out of DCL. I would never use any of those listed, since I also ain't a fan of cheat items, extreme deviations from basegame mechanics or cluttering up the load order too much in general. 1

I want to know what you think about disabling fast travel in repeatable quests. Those kind of quests can be too easy if you can just fast travel back. Seeking The Curse doesn't really make you feel helpless if you can get back to the shop in 5 secs. Do you want me to disable fast travel in repeatable quests like STC to keep it from becoming too easy? Or do you always want to have fast travel available? Let me know what you think. Reward would maybe have to be a little bit larger. What could be hours of travel will have to be worth it. Or maybe not. The travel is its own reward. I wouldn't mind if you did this, with or without the "MCM option" idea others have been suggesting. Let's be real, console commands (coc) will help those who can't be arsed or who run into other problems.
UnEvenSteven Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 Slowdown effects from devices will become more of an issue if you disable fast travel. If you added an option to disable fast travel then you'll need to be careful what devices get equipped during Seeking the Curse. Only one type of device that slows down the player should ever be equipped the quest. Potentially getting locked in boots, ankle chains and hobble dresses together during the quest should never happen, only one of those devices at a time. Another issue is the inability to use carriages when your character's arms are restrained, at least that's what I remember. I believe you can select a destination but be unable to climb on to the carriage when your character's arms are tied. At least the driver doesn't take your gold... There would need to be a mod that would allow the player to ask the carriage driver for help getting on to the carriage if your arms are restrained. The driver may want a little extra gold (or your body) in exchange for helping you. Or simply allow activation of the carriage itself when your character's arms are restrained thus allowing travel by carriage. As others have said though, some will just use the console to travel if things become to boring.

And those who don't wan to bother with all the long travels, they use either FT or console COC anyway. My recommendation: don't bother to do anything, wasted time of your life Exactly. As the discussion above shows, there are plenty of ways to get around a fast travel restriction. I dislike fast travel, so I don't use it. There's no need for a quest to enforce that on me, I'm already abstaining. But if a player wants to zip right to the destination, it's up to that player. If it's really important to not fast travel to be able to properly experience a specific quest, perhaps a pop-up notice "You'll miss out on the full experience if you fast travel" at the quest start would work. 1

Well, there is nothing forcing you to use fast travel if you don't like it. I use it only if the trip is too long. Maybe one of the involved characters could offer to quickly bring you back to shop... for a price (don't even now if doable, just thinking out loud)

SirCrazy Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 Please don't disable fast travel, I use it a lot. Spending hours watching my character take tiny steps is boring. 3

worik Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 @Laura 'Lokomootje'More feature ideas. Locked Away: Spoiler We should have dialogue, when I am wearing the belt! initiated by me, like "Do you know, what I am weraing?" , "May I show you something", ... random comments like "You are walking a bit ... strange" => where I could respond with my own initiated dialogue forced greetings with comments (low probability, they are too often an annoyance) random encounters I should be required to show it around. Or maybe this woud be the "enhanced" version of the quest and I could chose to do either the "private" or the "show" version either in dialogue like "show me please" where I could decide to do it right there or ask for some privacy and we move out of open sight with the interested NPC or by fulfiling randomly scheduled show-around tasks. I could get a checklist/letter from Laura with various tasks (quest stages) e.g. like show in the bannered mare show the XY NPC show in the guards barracks show at the market place show to your follower it should get some "action" elements, again combined with dialogue NPC : "may I touch it" => groping NPC: can you guide me to the shop => temporary follower ( better you use Teammate for this ) => introduce customer to Laura, gain favor from Laura NPC: is it really safe? Could you try to escape from it? => try to escape Meet an adventurer NPC: "I am locked into one of those devious things, too. And I can't escape (add belt to NPC)"=> guide the NPC to the shop to get help to escape => temporary follower => introduce customer to Katarina, gain favor from everybody I don't think we need "bad" encounters - there are mods enough to complement that end We coud introduce a "customer's diary" , like a customer satisfaction survey together with the belt, I would get a diary to "write" my feelings at random/scheduled/ free choice intervalls, I can interact with the diary item Either I can just "read" it, or I "write" and get a dialogue box, .. can select from various predefined options, what I experienced, how I felt the more choices, the more fun of that the selected entries are added to the diary Laura recollects the diary at the end of my locked time. Maybe the diary "pleases" her to reduce the time? The diary becomes another item in the store. A special one . And 4. leads us back to MORE DECORATIONS in the shop again! ? => Laura needs a bookshelf in her shop! Yes, she does! Either with bondage/naughty literature or even better with "customer testimonials" , incuding Laura's own adventure diaries. Or Katarinas comments on that. It would be another feature, where the player can just hang around there, browse through the merchandise, read up on bondage and get lost in naughty fantasies. ... err wait.. Most people here probably use: Skyrim Mod Organizer 2.0 or Skyrim Mod Organizer Classic 1.4 2. Everybody here use SexLab 1.62 3. Everybody use Skyrim Script Extender - SKSE 4. Everybody here use BodySlide and Outfit Studio 5. Everybody have run FNIS - Fores New Idles in Skyrim (that means not to only install it but run FNISforusers.exe - to make animations - that's probably you didn't do so you are stuck in place...) 6. People use XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended - XPMSE or if on Skyrim Special Edition they use XPMSSE 7. People use UNP or CBBE body types - both comes from point 4. 8. Most of them also the HDT Physics - which is a plugin to SKSE 9. People use Armor Packs Replacers or Standalone versions 10. Many, many, many of people use: a) DDi - Devious Devices Integration b) DDx - Devious Devices Expansion c) DDa - Devious Devices Assets Please write which of points above you dont have, or you didn't do already. Or write which you have and which have not.

Laura Posted September 28, 2019 Author Posted September 28, 2019 Thank you for all the feedback. I think it's best to keep fast travel available and not change anything. People that don't want to fast travel can always not use and it would be unfair to those that want to use it. I'm not a fan of slowing the player down either. I do use it when I have to or when it's for a short time. Doing it for a short time is really good to make you feel helpless, but I would never lock you in boots and ankle chains, and force you to waddle back to the shop from the other side of the map. Also, I've been playing Skyrim during the break and I've fallen in love with this silly game all over again. Spoiler Epic_Gameplay.mp4 4

Why I was asking about other mods, things that add immersion to the game, so your shop and that SL Sex Slave castle in the mountains is it, seems other than that, a few camps and such and some npcs, mostly all inside towns and cities, no roaming street merchants that could possibly help you out of a bind, or well, take advantage of you by unbinding you and knocking you out and stealing them. They could also unlock them all but have a Swain attitude for it, but possibly because they are not Swain, they want other things as well and not just a one time thing, perhaps they only unlock one or two items at a time. People will randomly comment on restraints you're wearing and can do things like adding more of giving you a key.

Just immersion, no questy features Spoiler Laura and Katarina could use an AI schedule. Daily personal life: sleep, eat, read a book, take a bath in a nearby pond, meditation in front of her shrine Business hours: Not necessarily the usual shop opening hours, but Laura really should have business hours. Maybe lock the door outside of business hours or at least when Laura is sleeping (lock picking enabled ) limit trading dialogue to the business hours Back office duties: clean the shop, counting the money, clean the merchandise, update the ledger, Katarina: sword fighting excerises Little trips: visit the market, visit the temple to pray, talk to the Steward and pay taxes, visit the shops, quick stop at the hall of the dead no trading at that time of course Business trips: travelling saleswoman, sell stuff at the barracks or the guards house, talk to Farengar or the priests about the devious magic, ask the carriage driver about any devious news, talk to the blacksmiths have an evening off and enjoy the local inns or the meadery no trading of course *) I'm off again and shut up for today ... on my way to Solitude now.
