as it is in the title... the rules of the forums need to be updated... there are staff who are playing john wayne with the rules currently in the set up in my opinion. for example... modders are not allowed to ask for money... yet that is basically what is happening when patreon is involved... they are asking the community to go to thier patreon and "donate for more stuff". which is still selling mods on this site when they link thier patreon on the thread... As I stated before in another thread and having been on the site for quite a while now that I have seen a few modders who have went months without a actual update to LL other than "come check out my new stuff on patreon" posts.  Now I believe in showing support for the modders without question... but putting stuff behind a paywall like patreon is another matter...

So hence why I'm asking for the rues to be updated and actually enforced fairly.

Why do you care? Mind your own business.

If you had been paying attention this was discussed at length during last month's poll. There are (according to the Moderators) rules changes coming. However, just as enforcing rules now will elate one person and aggravate another one to no end, so will changing the rules. They are taking their time in order to try to get it right, which is an admirable goal. I am no moderator and wouldn't want the job if it paid (and it doesn't) so please just cut them some slack and give them a chance to get this done and done right.

Yes, the rules need updating. Everybody knows.

If staff is playing John Wayne with the rules, does that mean they're shuffling up to them in a way that bespeaks a hernia trust and calling them pilgrim?

If anyone believes that a rule update will result in us kicking Patreon modders out, they're sorely mistaken.

hernia trust

I have stared at this for several minutes and still have no clue what it means... can someone please translate "hernia trust" to English for me?

With the quality and amount of work that modders are putting out on this site, they probably could charge for their content and make a tidy profit. The thing is, they don't charge for them, but who are you to say that they can't accept WILLING DONATIONS from the people who enjoy their mods? Patreon support is voluntary, nobody is requiring anyone to pay anything for any of the mods here. If you don't want to donate, don't do it. But sitting back and bitching about modders giving people the option to make those donations is...well, frankly it's pretty fucking stupid.

Seriously, get out of your own way on this one.
