All things Cyberpunk 2077 General Thread

Recommended Posts

In the, almost, ten years since Skyrim was released has any game come even, remotely, close?

CDPR are not going to add more "adult" content themselves, they're under enough scrutiny from gamers and the gaming press/media with 2077, the last thing they need are a mob of Karens coming after them because they bought this game for their 12yr old and it now contains interactive, hardcore porn.

I'd rather their Dev team work towards adding in the features, quests and storylines that were all dropped due to unrealistic time constraints.

CyberPunk 2077 - The Developer's Cut.

But I think even that's wishful thinking, at best.

tl/dr:

No. Unlikely we'll even be talking about it 5yrs time.

Lol! In the current world we are in? They got rid of the words "male" and "female" in a menu, for much less.

No. They will NOT allow that.

@GE4RHE4D

And they did not get rid of nudity. They fixed a bug where male V dick clipped through the pants in the inventory screen. That is what they fixed. Unless they did another patch and removed it all?

For those who haven't yet followed up: CP2077 modding is live and well. There are two active discord servers. One of them has familiar names from BGS modding, working scripts and even researching if some sort of CP xSE is possible.

I can confirm that nudity mods (underwear removal) works well after patch 1.1. V is free to run around without underwear, if he/she likes.

Seeing how busy community scripting team is, I have a good feeling about CyberPunk 2077 getting proper mod support. AFAIK CDPR has stated that they are not against modding the game. Of course, upcoming online features are going to cause some sort of restrictions. However, modding community bypassed those in previous similar games and CP seems to be quite well moddable. I even get to test Vortex with it.

I know very little about the state of animations though. There are size variations among NPCs and physics are sometimes weird. However, seeing how much variety there is among NPC animations, there is a good chance that animation part isn't going to be massive problem.

Currently there are some issues with clothes, especially with female shoes. NPCs are happy to use high heels, but for some reason they have been a bit pain with V. That is something that needs more experienced eyes to take a look at.

The Fix they implemented for this bug was to force the default underwear overlay onto the in game models, so it basically removed nudity from the game.. Just not from the Menu.
Responses from CDPR as to whether this would be looked at were pretty much that it is now "working as intended"
As Morferous said, there is a mod that removes the underwear which is still working fine.

If they removed nudity from the game, you wouldn't see tit's plastered all over the milf advertisements...which you do and you wouldn't see nipples on the vast majority of holo tops you see NPC's running everywhere wearing. And ya, the underwear remover mod makes it so you are totally in the nude whenever you want to be totally in the nude as you said! Also for anyone else, ton of mod's happening in rapid fire order atm, can't hardly keep up with all the lewd ones being produced. I am very partial to the holo mod that turns the majority of your outfits into lewd see-through versions. Very nice!

OK, well then to clarify, removed full nudity from the player model in the game world.

To clarify further, I do not believe this was actually intentional by CDPR, that they were trying to remove nudity from the game. It was just a side effect of the fix they used for male genitals (can we call them call them male genitals anymore?) still being present on a clothed player model and clipping through the armour/clothing. I suspect they don't care so much to fix it on a 1st person only game and I get that point.

As for NPC's in see-thru and holo outfits. I found the reverse was true. But this might be because the underwear overlay stands out to me more, in passing these. I will test this with the nude patch off (since I've not yet applied it again) but I was seeing the overlay on NPC's where their outfit even included underwear (thongs) which I admit did grate on me somewhat.

Edit: So just wandered around Jig Jig street at night, findings were not really conclusive since there was a distinct lack of the outfits I was looking for but what I did see supported your findings more than my own. That is, the one NPC with a see-thru top (and not a cyberwear body) was topless underneath and all those in see-thru skirts had only the underwear that was included with that outfit, not the ugly overlay that I have seen on NPC's.
I'm gonna patch it now because, even though my V wears a Corp suit I want her to be able to shower naked.

No, that makes no sense to me either, when I think about it

The fiasco of The Johnny Silverhand Chronicles continues.....

Kinda wouldn't be surprised if they pull the plug on this thing. Many are saying the 1.1

patch made things even worse than they were before. Tons of players are reporting

entire save folders lost, new bugs, and even worse graphics issues than before the patch.

Hopefully they can Hotfix their way out of this mess. Or at least limp it along until they

can put out patch 1.2 which hopefully won't make things even worse. Whatever they do,

I'm not even considering giving it another play until I see some more positive news.

Having plenty of fun with HZD until whenever this gets finally fixed.

I have not seen anything like that at all, there is meant to be an issue with a Call from Takemura freezing on your screen but other than that I haven't seen any more bugs, visual or otherwise, than normal.

Still the same issue with clothing vendors. Still a bunch of exploits work that could be fixed. From what I have seen most of the backlash for this seems to be the fact you can't "re-roll" loot by save scumming.

Not sure if gameplay related posts are welcome here but...

Does anyone know if you can get Satori (the Katana left on landing pad of Konpeki plaza) is reachable in normal game play?

Don't link me any videos of glitches and exploits. I've done them, except the Katana flying one, I think that's either been patched or I am doing it wrong. Best one, imo, is getting the dodgy NCPD spawns to open the door for you.

Actually during the heist, I've never been able to interact with those doors to get out to the landing pad but I've read that they do. Is this the case?

Everything in the video says true. This... I dont know maybe just me but for me totally ruins "living city" idea. and this one is just one of the hundreds of problems in the game. I liked Cyberpunk. I liked the story. But probably after finish the game never look back. Needs a huge update and feels impossible...

??? LOL ???

Look at the video. The old game is more polished and beautiful than the new one. And the traffic works.

Cyberpunk2077 is objectively ugly, and it will set the trend for the times to come. Indie games will have cellphone graphics, while AAA games will try to follow Cyberpunk2077 graphical design. What a bleak future videogames have now.

You have to wait until T-Bug opens the window(?) that the game wants you to escape through. Once that is open you can access the landing pad.

That's not gonna happen.

I never said they would. Only that I wouldn't be surprised "if" they did.

The issue at hand is that the patch they released to fix the broken game, actually broke

the game for people that never even had an issue prior to the patch. It's literally driving

people from the game, instead of drawing them back. 50% price cut 6 weeks post release

is NOT a good thing. PS4 and XBox players are reporting that the game runs even worse

now on last gen consoles, which the largest portion of this patch was supposed to improve.

Still others claim only a moderate improvement on their newer consoles.

Some players are blaming the RedEngine, while others are claiming that CDPR seems to

have maybe downgraded graphics across the board to make the game look better on consoles.

I don't know. I haven't even tried playing since before the 1.1 patch. And honestly, I'm

in no hurry to be surprised either way. I uninstalled the game when I took up HZD, and will

revisit it at some point later in the year. I might not have had any issue at all, or it may have

opened up a total nightmare scenario that has me wracking my brain trying to get it running

again.

I look at this in the context of a patch that was "supposed" to improve the game, which ultimately

introduced NEW bugs and other issues. It's a real mixed bag, and seems more headache than I

care to deal with.

No thanks. I'll wait until it's universally fixed and stable, reinstall, and go from a fresh start.

Ditto. 1.1 on my mid-range pc runs better than it did. Everything is quicker and more responsive.

Right, I was sure I'd done that but now you mention it, on the last play through, I remember coming back down stairs and then having a short wait for the glass doors to be active.

Not planning on any new play throughs so I won't test it anytime soon but it makes sense.

I've had a similar thought, not that they would pull the plug entirely but that there is not going to be much in the way of development to make the game into anything other than a working version of what we have now.

No matter what CDPR do they are damned with this product. I expect DLC's and expansions but the effort they might have put in bring us something like what was "promised" I don't imagine happening.

I wonder if they will even risk launching the planned online, multiplayer version? Those, in my experience, fare even worse for bugs and emergency patches on launch and with so many critical eyes looking at CDPR and, seemingly, wanting them to fail.

Personally I would lbe happy for them to fix what they have, get it working on console. Tell Sony to fuck themselves, CDPR will now be PC & X-Box only and then look to getting the game to something like what was expected.

But that is all Wishful thinking, unfortunately I don't see any company telling Sony to Fuck Off, they have too much of a market share.

Disclaimer: I know nothing about, nor do I pretend to know anything about the inside workings of the vidja game industry but CDPR is run by a board of directors who, ultimately work for their shareholders, the idea that they could be in triage mode with regards to CP2077 doesn't seen unfeasible to me.

Me either, but I have enough common sense to know that CDPR put themselves in an

impossible position with Sony. Where there is a contractual agreement, there is also

an expectation of delivery. And that is where Sony has the upper hand. Setting aside

the "CDPR LIED!" and "CDPR CUT CONTENT!" rhetoric, CDPR at the very least "misled"

their investors about the state of the game on consoles.

And that's where it gets technical. Because the important thing many fail to see, is that

Sony is an "investment partner". As is Microsoft. Both of which are heavily invested.

CDPR isn't fearful of these "current" lawsuits. Those are your typical stock shareholders

looking for a bigger return on their investment. CDPR is more fearful of Sony pulling the

plug permanently. Because such a maneuver would come with certain expectations.

Like monetary compensation for the contract breach. And FULL refunds to ALL of

Sony's customers. So you see, this is less about "let's kick Sony to the curb", and more

about "will Sony let us survive this if we try?" So at this point, that's CDPR's most

likely current position. They HAVE to fix the game to Sony's satisfaction to maximize

profit all the way around by getting it back on the PS Store.

Conversely, Sony "could" let CDPR off the hook for the performance on last gen

consoles, "IF" they get the game up to snuff on the PS5 for the next gen update

later this year. But there again, this assumes that the Polish Gov't doesn't hold CDPR

to their side of the agreement for last gen console users.

This is a MUCH bigger can of worms for CDPR than the fanboys really want to accept.

Or admit. And it's not going to just "go away" no matter how hard they wish it so.

And Badowski running his big mouth and calling in QA heads to refute Schreier's

Bloomberg article on Twitter is only making things worse for CDPR. They need to

shut him up, or get rid of him. Because journos like Schreier aren't going away.

They just start digging deeper.

Obviously they are doing a Bethesda, How the Fallout and TES modding community fixed almost all the glitches and bugs, as well as improved their game.. for free.
Release the tools early in hopes to do the same. And well, I hope that comes to pass. Let the thousands of PC people have a crack at it.
Sure the consoles will cry and complain that they dont get mods...again.

Sure, console gamers will be annoyed, but CDPR "could" wait and see how things

pan out for Cyberpunk 2077 modding, and if all goes well on the PC modding

front, they could plan their next cyberpunk game around that. Then again, CDPR

could pull a "workshop" type thing just like Bethesda did with Skyrim and FO4.

And given the way things are going for them at the moment, such a move might just

save their asses in the long term ?

Depends how much you can do with this devkit. But the timing says it all. You'd think that modding would be their very last priority. Nope. I have my bets console mod will exist later on down the road. Not that I want console mods to exist, but it's a way to gain back the console community's trust.

Devkit is barebones. Basically a glorified extractor.
