Maybe she DID earn the ban then, but so does anyone else who uploads Daz content if they are violating the licence/Nexus law. It shouldn't matter if you're a staff buddy or a suck-ass...but I guess it does.

But in all seriousness, there are "other" methods for getting an organization in line when they have become far out of it. Start at the State Attorney Generals office, file a complaint, Better Business Bureau, file a complaint, Consumer Affairs, file a complaint. After a few hundred or so come flowing their way into the system, action is taken, I have seen it happen with much bigger foes. Me? I am still there, have been since like 09 maybe? Never had a problem with anyone, probably because I am just low man on the totem pole and rarely get into any discussions there....lol

That's like the USA strictly not allowing anyone to mention Sweden because it has different intellectual property laws.

So we'll chastise it. Because they can take it. Because they are not our hero. They are a silent download portal, an overwatchful mod team. A dark community." All right so not exactly word for word, but you get the idea I like the nexus, because what it does is really help propel the majority of the modding community and mod authors. It also keeps the immatures and close-minded people off the more specialized and expertise forum mod communities (TESRenewal, LoversLab, etc...) I dislike the nexus, It's like a bank, it's gotten too big to fail. If any mod authors want to introduce a new modding standard or be popular then they HAVE to go there and follow the overly strict guideline. Just like a bank, it's dipped it's hand into too much, trying to make a failing mod manager (the Nexus Mod Manager sucks, but the infrastructure behind it is a success, I'm sure those of you MO users love the check for updates feature, I sure do). The mod team is a bit overzealous (seriously, you need a moderator to moderate some of their moderators and even the site owner a bit.) There's probably a few more issues I haven't even touched but you get the idea. So yea, Nexus is often a misunderstood hero that had the right beginnings in it's early days and was a great idea, but over time it's fallen prey to it's own success (kinda like the batman movies).

They've driven off great modders with biblical amounts of hate and idiocy. Haven't been banned from any site, save one, and I accept that ban since I admited I had pirated a game. Wouldn't have hurt if Beth had released a demo of FO: NV, but hey, whatever, three computers later I'm back on the site and no one suspects a thing. Funny how that works.

But it vanished with that computer died, so I'm fine anyway. Plus I like this username. And to be honest, I saw all the changes in FO: NV and was not sure I'd enjoy the mechanical changes. But I found out that unless I'm using buckshot against a rad-scorpion I'm usually fine, and if I am, then I can just switch over to using slug ammo and I'm fine again. I did find out that the Beam Splitter Upgrade for the Laser Rifle makes it into a shotgun(more damage? More beams you mean, each doing a faction of the damage of a full beam but the total damage is above 100% of the normal laser beam), and even now, the Beam Spitter means nothing to me since I can put it on or take it off with ease, and have a mod that makes energy weapons less shit as a whole. All in all, I love FO: NV and I'm proud to actually have a copy of it.

I guess it's because they don't ban people over petty crap, and the steam sales can sometimes be awesome. And on top of that they wear their evil corporation title with pride, unlike nexus who claims to be on the communities side while their fearless leader craps on every aspect of the community that doesn't make him bundles of money. And you know it's damn sad when you consider a money hungry company the lesser of two evils. Think they treat their paid subscribers like they're not quite as disposable over at the Nexus?
