It is one thing for Nexus to ban people for no reason (plently of examples in this thread).  It is quite another for them to ban someone when they have a reason.  Mod theft, pirating software, etc.  If someone gets banned for that they had it coming.  Ragnarok had it coming.  So not only is he a collosal douche, he's also a content poacher and thief.  I have zero/zed/nil/nada/nix-nein Frankestein sympathy for him.

 

It isn't 'Dante is 100% wrong all of the time and he sucks'; it's more like 'Even a blind chicken gets a little corn once in a while...and Dante sucks'.

I'm not going to white-knight what ragnarok did. Everyone has his problems, but only so few people realize this and try to see it from a different viewpoint.

 

It's more about the idiot getting kicked in the butt (again) than about the one doing the kicking. And to be honest, he deserved it. He wasn't just throwing a fit, he was actively trying to hurt other members here on LL and insulted the majority of the people here as degenerates that should have been gassed a long time ago. So not only is he a retard he's a closet nazi as well.

He managed to make me hate him within an hour's time whereas Dante.... he's done some shit but he's never gone out of his way to insult people that openly and harshly before. Nor has he had the gall to do even a few of the things Ragna did like threatening to "reveal someone's secrets" or openly throwing out another's, that takes a special kind of dick.

I still dislike the Nexus and its staff, sure, but this ban was special because Ragna the Dickedge went full double-decker retard here, and everywhere else he's been. He's not only a dick but a plagiarist and I hate nothing more than plagiarism... actually scratch that....

The only thing I hate more than plagiarism is the plagiarist acting like he's a fucking bronzed God and he's entitled to all the world and its riches just because he's done some subpar work at a subpar industry, if modding can be called that.

Anyway, I hate Ragna more than Dante. Dante's never been a penis to me personally so I've nothing personally against him.
His name is just open to puns and I like puns. So there.

And to shed some light, I'm pretty vocal sometimes in the mod author forums (Which are moderator free zones IE they cant ban us for anything not illegal there) 

But to be fair, on some of the mods I think are stupid, I think some rules are stupid and I think def a bunch of their bans are stupid. Dante is probably not really one of them. I woke up this morning to a message from him about ragnafail since he decided to straight out call hosting of my mod illegal when it hasnt had any of his assets since Feb 7th lol

And another thing I hate people bitching about is "Don't let them know who you are over there etc you will get banned"  It is clear who I am, dante has actually banned me once I believe and unbanned me twice. Kind of a lot of random shit but I asked him this morning about the LL censor and harsh reactions to this site, seeing as honestly if modders come here and contest piracy of their work I believe it gets taken down and the stance on the Loli shit is now decent.

 

He basically said the initial was mostly due to the porn adds, and I can't fault that, part of their rules are no linking to sites with porn or depictions of it directly. So basically saying loverslab is the same as saying pornhub in a conversation there. he said after it just kind of escalated and they woudl rather have the sites be separate and no link.

I can respect that, while agree with it meh.

 

I have had my bitch outs with them to be sure, and have pointed out flaws etc whenever I can easily. That being said I am however all about freedom to run your personal shit the way you want. I brought up before that perma banning anyone is stupid as all hell from a business perspective when you can just remove their ability to do anything besides d/l mods lol

 

But ya, Dante isn't really one I have a problem with and even Robin has been pretty easy to deal with in emails, he actually unbanned me the last time lol

 

Just saying, the bitching is real and oft times valid and even funny on some of the bans the mods do, but as long as people don't go out of control with it and make shit up that isn't there the points will be more valid.

EDIT:  My bans were justified once meh the other lol, neither of which were for anything related to here :P

Nm it was thandal, Ladymilla and zaldiir that banned me lol

 

Just saying they do forgive even if they are quick as hell on the banhammer most of the time, the problem is how quick and sometimes nasty they are with the ban jades and infuriates people, which is a massive fault on their part

I think what set them off first was how the mods still had stolen content in them which is grounds for banning already.
They banned the "friend" for breaking the rules. Then they were like "Hey, wait a second!"

I didn't realize he was talking about you with all the people he was throwing shit at but now I'm curious.

What could he have possibly have had on you? Maybe he was out of stereotypes and wanted something to keep you from making fun of him?

I think he was too hysteric to think about what he was saying and since he'd poked at Thulas he figured he could act like he knew some shit about you too.

Imma just say that most of the time, there's no smoke when there are no fires. You do ban an awful lot of people on a regular basis, and some of them are ridiculously lame bans of a ridiculously retarded proportion, it's fine and all to try and filter your website from pirates and shit but once you get to the point where people are afraid to post anything on your forums, you know there's something you are doing wrong somewhere. I just know at some point, all of your mods are just going to look in old threads in the archives for people to ban 'cause there just won't be anyone posting anything.

Notice he didn't say ALL of the time.  He knows that his staff bans people for bullshit reasons, yet he denied it previously.  NOW he's coming out with 'A LOT of the time".  That's a slip on his part not towing the Nexus Party line.  We all know Nexus bans people for legit reasons.  We also know they are full of shit too.  Dark0ne just admitted to what we all know IN TEXT on his forum.  :sleepy:

It's been pointed out before, a site as big and heavy handed as nexus has it's fair share of haters. No doubt those names were put there to specifically target the ire of the staff.

And then there's that group of web users that really are that stupid. 

 

Everybody likes to troll morons, it's the sole reason why trolling is a thing. And it's not like you can't circumvent a nexus ban an unlimited number of times anyway, and keep at it until you lose interest and move on.
