Many of the mod authors of the best/most endorsed mods are some of the most smug assholes I've ever had the displeasure of talking to. I hope I never end up like that. It is difficult when people constantly bombard your PMs/comments section with stupid questions that are specifically addressed in readmes and descriptions, though. I hope I don't get banned for putting people in their place(s) there. The PM spam and constant "i don't know how to read and follow instructions" does become irritating after so long, but still I believe one has to be humble when it comes to this. These types of things revolve around patience. Often times authors get too annoyed to the point where they ignore complimenting comments. Even comments that are constructive criticism. A user doesn't like to feel annoyed ignored and it could change their perspective view on that author. So, really it's always best to keep a level head and be positive about the situation. It not only makes you a better person, but it can change someone from being a total jerk to coming out and formally apologizing. Otherwise an alternative could be creating a topic in the forums tab and label one as RANT HERE and just ignore it. 8P btw your u.n. rokz and I've been wanting to say that from way back when. I can agree with this. I've never released a mod[usually make stuff for personal use] but I do help people out with theirs and it gets pretty grating when we get comments like "THIS MOD BROKE MY GAME!" with no further information or any way to help them. Then we get someone else "HOW DO I DO THIS!?" when it's clearly stated in the fucking description and in a stickied comment for everyone to see. It's rather frustrating. I have to guess that the more popular a mod is the more you'd see those comments.
myuhinny Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Yeah I was around when Rangnatroll was doing their tirade I basically just popped in skimmed here and there and ignored most of their posts. Then used the best defense against trolls *hits backspace* if they have no one to talk to other then themselves they tend to get bored quickly and then they find out that when talking to themselves that they suck and need a life so it usually makes them leave to find a new target so that they forget about that. I myself was wondering how long it would be before he reverted to his true self that got him banned from the nexus. He was alright most of the time but other times he was high jacking other peoples thread to promote his stuff and whatnot. @Omega1084 I had one awhile back that sent me a PM with a link you made this GIVE LINK NOW. I looked at the screenshot then sent a message back. Obviously you never even read any of the posts in the 2 page thread especially the ones before my screenshot otherwise you would known that I *did not* make it I only took and modified the texture file to make the pants turn into shorts and the top to look like a better vest version. I Will not give you a LINK because I didn't make it but I will give you the info to do it *yourself*. Gave link to posts that had the outfit gave link to gimp gave link to .dds plugin needed gave info on how to modify the texture files and how to add NiAlphaProperty to the outfit in nifskope make the modified parts show up correctly. Then I hit send then deleted PM. Never heard anything back so they must of figured it out and made a version for themselves.

He left, but then he came back after a while. After that he wanted to leave again, so he asked Ashal to delete his account, but made a bunch of inflammatory posts before it happened. Going out with a bang, as it will. May or may not comeback again.

I downloaded SGHairs a while back and happened to post a screenshot of my character using it on this mod I like and this one guy asks me what mod it is, not expecting anything I just tell him what it is and tell him to look it up because I don't have permission to share it, since the author deleted all traces of her work and leave it at that. So then he starts pestering me on PMs about it, asking for a link a bunch and I keep telling him that I won't so he even goes as far as to threaten to hack my account and report me because I won't give him a fucking link. Are people really so lazy they can't like... Google something? I told him off, and reported him before deleting the conversation but even then he was spamming me about it on the comments section of the mod for days till he got banned I think because he didn't bug me again.

If you click a PM to look at it the person you are talking/PMing with will have in red letters the words *block* under their name in the top left hand area if you click it that user can no longer PM you. A gaming site that I use has that option for the chat rooms if you see one that is being a troll/offensive/spamming/high cap abusers or something that is annoying you then you just click their name/hover over their name and click the mute user their ass is then sent to the bottom of the list where trolls belong with a line through their name. They can still see what you post but nothing that they post will ever show up in your chat box. Would be nice if there was a way to hide certain peoples posts on LL if you find them offensive/trolly/annoying and what not. Like click username/hover over their name then select hide posts.

New Game trial, old save trial, clean saves etc. My problems with mdos almost always stem from script extenders since I never keep track with them and always assume I'm up to date

If you are just downloading mods manually there is no reason to have the latest version of NMM I stopped updating it sometime last year I even reverted back to a older build that didn't have all of those bells and whistles and shit stuffed into it. I use it offline and have never had any problems with it. Everything is easy to find and not placed wherever and everything is in alphabetical order.

Very ridiculous and funny. o vo I have to commend the Nexus staff on their quick responses so shit mods and stolen content lately. Now if only they could delete that entire mod with ripped models and textures from Full Storm it'd be great. xD
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Well I have a confession... I installed the mod out of curiosity and I find it cool and funny at the same time. I hired Janassa as a follower and had her eat/swallow me and I started to run around as her as If she was my character. I just can't attack or jump. If I jump i trip and fall. I guess it was done intentionally because of the big belly. It's still bugged out though. Some of the meshes on the landscape won't load and when you run, you fall through. It gives me an idea I've been thinking about for a long time since Fallout. Some how switch to a companion to play and make your actual player turn into a companion. I hate scripts, but this would be awsum if it's even possible with either game engines.

There is a mod called "Alternate Actors" which lets you do that with pretty much every character.

Sometimes makes me wish for a new plague to happen or maybe an invasion by Cthulu but I know my fairly average immune system would fail me and my interest in Cthulu would ensnare me in his trap.
