I would suggest simply re-installing and not installing those specific files. With the FOMOD you should be able to do that, or just pick and choose what you want from the full version. It's pretty well segregated and easy to follow.

Do you use, I think it's called Horizon? There are SOME mods that alter Bethesda's files, I think someone earlier in the thread had this issue where it didn't recognise the .esm as being there because one of their mods had altered it in some way.

Or.... it might be because I ran FO4Edit on the DLC files 'cos they're full of errors... Hmm... worth checking

There are two identical to master records in DLCWorkshop02 that can be safely cleaned with F04edit. Any other changes would be very ill advised so if you did anything besides that, it boils down to user error. Hopefully you backed up the DLC file, or you'll have to verify cache with steam in which case it'll redownload all the DLC files and you'll have to reclean them. If cleaning those two ITM records was all you did then I doubt that's the source of your issues or I and everyone else who has cleaned the official DLCs would be having the same issue. But worth checking.

Maybe.

But, AAF checks for the plugins just based on the file name with this: https://www.creationkit.com/fallout4/index.php?title=IsPluginInstalled_-_Game I don't think it does anything to detect any changes within the plugin.

The docs there mention a quirk about the function. But, it seems like the quirk would cause it to say a plugin is installed when its not. Not the other way around.

The other odd thing about this is that if it was an AAF problem, it would presumably throw the same error for other DLC that it is checking for. I have only heard reports about this one DLC. Never any of the others that also get checked by AAF in the exact same way.

Would like to find a fix. But, there is some missing information perhaps about your game install that is preventing me from being able to reproduce it.

Thanks for the great mod!

How to make your three-part animations work for the FMF - FFF?

No problem. It's in your AAF Settings XML file in your AAF folder, I believe. Something you can alter in that file, not really sure what cos I've never done it.

I only cleaned the ones listed when checking in FO4Edit, if this is the same as everyone else, then nope: I changed nothing extra or manually. (filter for cleaning, delete ITMs)

I get the same error message with your animation pack and I have every DLC installed. So Tr_veller isn't alone in having issues.

SavageCabbages Animation Pack FOMOD V1.0.1.3.7Z

The NMM message - The mod was not activated!

Can not install it? It is written here that is recommended.

Try re-downloading, sometimes restarting the computer magically helps that error too.

@riot_punch@Tr_veller I have looked through your plugins and noted that you both have these activated that I don't use:

*CompanionIvy.esp

*CrimeTown.esp

*Stm_DiamondCityExpansion.esp

Could you test by disabling these one at a time and seeing if the error still occurs? I don't see why any of those would affect it but ya never know.

If they don't work then the only thing I can think of is that by using FO4Edit to edit the contraptions workshop file, it messed with something the stocks (pillory) references. The only thing I reference from that file is that specific object, nothing else, so the only reason I can think it'd give an error is if something has changed about it and it doesn't recognise it properly anymore. I'm no programmer though, so I can't really guess anything more than that.

Tried each one, one at a time and no difference unfortunately. If you can tell me where to look in the .esp, I can check if the stocks are still there in my copy.

You might also try looking in the AAF folder and renaming SavageCabbage_furnitureData_DLC4.xml to SavageCabbage_furnitureData_DLC4.xml.bak or something of that nature and seeing if that makes a difference.

Hmm... on that subject, the item is called a Pillory in the formid but the xml refers to it as Stocks... could that be the source of the problem? Just spitballing, though why it would affect some and not others I'm not really sure. Like in the esp it's defined as "Actors\Character\Animations\SavageCabbage\FM\Pillory01\FM-Pillory01-02Doggy-F1" and so on, in the xml as "FM-Stocks01-02Start" which may be intended but it did catch my eye because of the different naming conventions.

Removing the furniture data and position data should do the trick if you can't fix it, you are only missing out on about four animations out of however many.

WRT naming conventions, stocks references the contraptions pillory (the model name is stocks but ingame it's called pillory for some reason) and pillory references a pillory from torture devices, so no need to worry about them being named or referenced wrong.

I can't see the image you've uploaded but I think I found the pillory in the file. Now this is odd and I don't if you have the same, but in the DLCWorskshop02.esm everything is called DLC05something.

Is that what you've got?

Yes that is the correct entry. The DLC05NPCWorkshopPillory is the EditorID, basically what the creation kit calls it, then it's name is Pillory which is what it'll appear in game as. Think of it sort of like the difference between your social security number (what the gov't calls you <.< ) and your name. There could be several items called "Whatever the name is" but the editor id will be unique. Like the 10mm pistol, there's the standard one that you and most npcs use, then there's Piper's 10mm pistol which has a unique editor ID but in game is still just called "10mm pistol".

Anyway, if that entry is there and no other plugins are modifying it, then it shouldn't be the source of the problem you're having.

I'm no programmer though, so I can't really guess anything more than that.

tried disabling those mods, still won't work since most likely those mods didn't change anything about contraptions workshop.

I can't see the image you've uploaded but I think I found the pillory in the file. Now this is odd and I don't if you have the same, but in the DLCWorskshop02.esm everything is called DLC05something.

Is that what you've got?

 did you check this using fo4edit? i suspect the pillory id of our games were changed.

You can disable the gender/sex restriction in your AAF settings XML file, I think. The animations may not line up properly though as they were designed for men and women.

I wouldn't go that far but I do try to emulate his stuff in terms of quality. Thanks for the compliment! More animations will be on the way.

I just tested and you can do something like the following and it worked for me...

For example, your standing MMF double team looks like this:

Spoiler

<animation id="FMM-Standing01-01Caught" time="500">
    <actor gender="F">
        <idle form="1825"/>
    </actor>
    <actor gender="M">
        <idle form="1826"/>
        <value path="morph" value="Erection" to="0"/>
    </actor>
    <actor gender="M">
        <idle form="1827"/>
        <value path="morph" value="Erection" to="0"/>
    </actor>
</animation>

<animation id="FMM-Standing01-02DoubleTeam" time="500">
    <actor gender="F">
        <idle form="104C"/>
    </actor>
    <actor gender="M">
        <idle form="104D"/>
        <value path="morph" value="Erection Up" to="1"/>
    </actor>
    <actor gender="M">
        <idle form="104E"/>
        <value path="morph" value="Erection Up" to="1"/>
    </actor>
</animation>

<animation id="FMM-Standing01-03DoubleTeam" time="500">
    <actor gender="F">
        <idle form="1828"/>
    </actor>
    <actor gender="M">
        <idle form="1829"/>
        <value path="morph" value="Erection Up" to="1"/>
    </actor>
    <actor gender="M">
        <idle form="182A"/>
        <value path="morph" value="Erection Up" to="1"/>
    </actor>
</animation>

I edited it to be the following:

Spoiler

<animation id="FMM-Standing01-01Caught" time="500">
    <actor gender="F">
        <idle form="1825"/>
    </actor>
    <actor gender="">
        <idle form="1826"/>
        <value path="action" value="FF_activity" target="0" loop="true" from="1" to="0" steps="5" time="10"/>
        <condition isFemale="false">
            <value path="morph" value="Erection Up" to="1"/>
        </condition>
        <condition isFemale="true">
            <value path="morph" value="Up" to="1"/>
        </condition>
    </actor>
    <actor gender="">
        <idle form="1827"/>
        <value path="action" value="FF_activity" target="0" loop="true" from="1" to="0" steps="5" time="10"/>
        <condition isFemale="false">
            <value path="morph" value="Erection Up" to="1"/>
        </condition>
        <condition isFemale="true">
            <value path="morph" value="Up" to="1"/>
        </condition>
    </actor>
</animation>

<animation id="FMM-Standing01-02DoubleTeam" time="500">
    <actor gender="F">
        <idle form="104C"/>
    </actor>
    <actor gender="">
        <idle form="104D"/>
        <value path="action" value="FF_activity" target="0" loop="true" from="1" to="0" steps="5" time="10"/>
        <condition isFemale="false">
            <value path="morph" value="Erection Up" to="1"/>
        </condition>
        <condition isFemale="true">
            <value path="morph" value="Up" to="1"/>
        </condition>
    </actor>
    <actor gender="">
        <idle form="104E"/>
        <value path="action" value="FF_activity" target="0" loop="true" from="1" to="0" steps="5" time="10"/>
        <condition isFemale="false">
            <value path="morph" value="Erection Up" to="1"/>
        </condition>
        <condition isFemale="true">
            <value path="morph" value="Up" to="1"/>
        </condition>
    </actor>
</animation>

<animation id="FMM-Standing01-03DoubleTeam" time="500">
    <actor gender="F">
        <idle form="1828"/>
    </actor>
    <actor gender="">
        <idle form="1829"/>
        <value path="action" value="FF_activity" target="0" loop="true" from="1" to="0" steps="5" time="10"/>
        <condition isFemale="false">
            <value path="morph" value="Erection Up" to="1"/>
        </condition>
        <condition isFemale="true">
            <value path="morph" value="Up" to="1"/>
        </condition>
    </actor>
    <actor gender="">
        <idle form="182A"/>
        <value path="action" value="FF_activity" target="0" loop="true" from="1" to="0" steps="5" time="10"/>
        <condition isFemale="false">
            <value path="morph" value="Erection Up" to="1"/>
        </condition>
        <condition isFemale="true">
            <value path="morph" value="Up" to="1"/>
        </condition>
    </actor>
</animation>

Now, I copied the equipmentSetData xml and the actionData xml from AAF/Leito and renamed them with a SavageCabbage_ prefix but not sure if that was needed. The FF_activity and equipment set namespaces are probably global. In any case, when I tested it with an F in the normal F role and one F in one of the M roles, it worked fine and the F wore a strapon.

Edit: Ugh at the formatting eating characters. You get the idea.
