Looking at the script sources, they should be granted when the "use bound combat perks" toggle is set to true and zadBoundCombatScript.EvaluateAA is called. However, they're all conditioned to only apply if you're wearing something with the zad_deviousHeavyBondage keyword, so you have to be wearing something that locks away your hands (armbinder, yoke, straitjacket, etc).

 

I do see a series of "Accustomed to Bondage" perks that give you a damage boost depending on how long you've had your hands bound (5% after 2 game hours up to 100% after 48), but that seems to be limited to armbinders and yokes. The straitjacket "enchantment" is missing the magic effect that would apply them.

It'll depend on how the overhaul does its check. Ordinator and Vokrii both do a simple check if your weapon slots are empty (which they would be when you're bound), so they should work, but anything that requires you to equip a special "fake unarmed" weapon wouldn't.

Thank you.  I have tried to test further based on this and it works.

 

I can see zad_DeviousHeavyBondage and zad_DeviousBoots as keywords, and I can see those keywords on items.  I use AddMenuItem to guarantee I get the right items in the game.

 

I did not see any effects show up in the powers active effects display, and my test game is also a high level game.  This made me think that the effects were not working because I did not see them listed and I did not see a meaningful change in damage output.  But some perks are invisible and unarmed combat does not scale well, so I just did not notice.  Using More Informative Console, I see "Spiky Heels" appear and disappear as a perk as I wear and remove equipment.

 

To verify that it worked, I made an override mod and updated the Spiky Heels perk to apply a 100x damage multiplier.  This was very obvious in the test, showing that it has an effect.

I have not tested everything, but I assume that the rest will work, unless there is another oversight like the missing straitjacket effect.

 

To help anyone else in the future, here is what I see in SSEEdit for bound combat:

  • Spiky Heels: Boots multiply damage by 1.25x
  • Actions Speak Louder than Words: Gags multiply damage 1.25x
  • Desperate Fighter: Belts multiply damage by 1.25x
  • Underestimated Slave: Collars multiply damage by 1.1x
  • Agitated: Vaginal plugs multiply damage by 1.1x
  • Stabbing in the Dark: Blindfolds multiply damage by 0.5x (penalty)
  • Small Profile: Corsets multiply incoming damage by 0.8x
  • Protected by Arm Cuffs: Arm cuffs multiply incoming damage by 0.9x
  • Protected by Leg Cuffs: Leg cuffs multiply incoming damage by 0.9x
  • Protected by Gloves: Gloves multiply incoming damage by 0.8x
  • Distracting Visuals: Suits multiply incoming damage by 0.75x
  • Accustomed to Bondage I - V: Damage multiplied by 1.05x, 1.1x, 1.25x, 1.5x, 2.0x

All devices above must be Devious for the perk to apply.

 

I do not know the conditions for Accustomed to Bondage to work, but the previous poster said that it comes from wearing them for different amounts of in-game time.  chaimhewast, do you know if that timer requires continuous wear and resets, or if it is permanent based on overall time amounts?

 

I also thought of another thing.  There is a "nipple magic" option in the skeleton, to cast magic from breasts rather than hands.  This one I can't test without reinstalling the mod and probably breaking everything in my game.  Is there any Devious option that integrates with that mod option to allow spellcasting (at least with an unbound chest)?  I am guessing not, but wanted to ask.

It resets, and doesn't count time spent sleeping.

There's no easy way, unless you have DD NG installed. DD NG will say next generation on the mcm splash screen.

 

For base DD SE, you should have DD 5.2 if you downloaded it after Feb 14, 2023. Before DD 5.2 is not supported, you should upgrade to DD SE 5.2 and optionally install DD NG over the top (fixes DD DLL compatibility and a lot of other things).

EDIT: Okay My download is from Feb. 16, that is 5.2, okay thank you for pointing that out.

I do not have DD NG though. I'll look that up, thank you!

hello i use bodysilde and enable build morth go to game some of cloths works fine but chains and rope and some of shoes seem have bug make my body invisible can any body help?

You probably have your paths wrong. And you need to run bodyslide for both DD and DCL.

For help with bodyslide, look at the bodyslide how to on the troubleshooting post.

When I load Skyrim I get this message. Upon starting a new game I get a CTD.

 

I assume this is due to the dll likely not being updated for the most recent version of AE.

If so, is there going to be an update? If not, is it possible to fix another way.

 

I downloaded SSE a couple weeks ago as I got back into Skyrim again so that would be why I "allowed" my game to update.

For SkyrimAE 1.6.1130+ install over DD SE 5.2 a copy of DD-NG and disable\remove Devious Devices SE patch.esp in the load order. 

Only a new game can properly initiate the NG changes.  Any issues should be relayed in the DD-NG forum.

Installation

  1. Install as you would any other mod
  2. Ensure DD NG overwrites all other mods including Devious Devices, OSL Aroused, and SLIF
  3. Run Nemesis or FNIS
  4. Start a new game

 

Compatibility
Skyrim AE/SE/VR are all supported thanks to Clib-NG. LE is unsupported. Compatibility for SLIF and OSL Aroused are built in.

 

Backwards compatibility with any mods dependent on Devious Devices SE should be preserved but you will need a new game.

 

If using Unforgiving Devices, ensure UnforgivingDevices - DD Patch.esp loads below DD_Animation_Overhaul_by_Taki17.esp.

Has there been any update or patch for TDM so it'll work with hobble dresses?

The problem in question is the one where you just cannot walk when one is equipped.
I've tried everything i could find but there's barely even anything to find about it.

The workaround is to switch to first person, start walking, then switch back to third person while walking.

Hi, can anyone help with the problem that Foox fella also had? As in, body being invisible when devious devices are equipped. I have properly installed DD and DD NG, no error popups appear, I've built everything in the BodySlide Studio 4 times already, but it just doesn't want to work properly, a reinstall of those 2 mods didn't help either. Some screenshots for reference(this "shadow" body may have something to do with it?

The ONLY WAY this happens is if something is incorrect with how your bodyslide has been set up, or if it is built at all. So if you're building them, then you have the wrong output path. Fix that and it will work. Look at the bodyslide section of the troubleshooting post for more info.

Oh yeah, I'm sorry, I completely missed the link that you posted there for some reason and you were right, it was that, I am actually sorry for wasting your time. Just got frustrated cause this is like the fifth time I'm trying to mod the game fairly extensively and everything besides that was seemingly working for the first time. So, thanks and cheers.

Depends on the type of cuffs. Leg and arm cuffs lock onto the body and are mostly decorative. There's other devices if you want the limbs to be restricted - for arms, there's things like handcuffs, armbinders, etc and for the legs there's fetters and legbinders.

Armbinders and yokes don´t work... could anyone help? on LE it always worked but since i have AE i have always that bug... i use fnis and also loot for the load order. and i use vortex modmanager.

Don't use nemesis, or if you must, install DD NG over the top, which converts the animations from FNIS to OAR. DD only supports FNIS.

You have nemesis active, which means even if you ran FNIS again, it still has remnants of when nemesis ran. the only way to get rid of nemesis completely is to reinstall DD and other FNIS mods.

 

But honestly, DD NG has a ton of improvements for SE and AE, and I highly recommend using it. The animations are faster with OAR, and they've refactored a lot of it to make use of modern mod requirements so things mostly work better.

Hey, me again, I'm using FNiS if that's relevant and I have this issue ONLY when walking that the half arms are to the side(works properly, when standing and running) and the circled one is that the ankle chains are just floating around the legs rather than being connected. I have tried looking through this topic for similar issues, but either I missed them or no one else encountered this specifically.

The arms issue is because you have a walking animation which is running on a higher priority than the walking override for the armbinders.  This is PROBABLY FNIS sexy move, and if it is there is a tweak that can fix it located here: 

 

Chain animations on ankles on the other hand is unfortunately a bit on the inconsistent side, and I don't know of a consistent fix other than having the latest versions loaded.

Chains are a known issue. The way to fix them is to exit the game completely, and relaunch skyrim. You will need to do this every time you equip the ankle chains, but once it's been equipped the fix should stick until you take them off. It also only works on the ankle chains. Prisoner chains get a little better but are still not perfect if you do this, and wrist chains I have never been able to get to work. If the prisoner chains bug you, build the no hdt version of them.

 

I'd recommend installing DD NG if you can't get the walk working with Icicle's suggestion above. You can also try resetting the walk in the FNIS Sexy move mcm, I forget which option it is. toggle 360 walk i think - turn it off / exit mcm / enable again. For NPCs, you would also need to go through a load screen to fix them.
