This is the base - it just provides the items (clothes, shackles, etc.) and the mechanics - for an enclosure to actually work. Everything else - including the provision of keys - must be done by mods - which build on this basis. I hope I have made myself clear. Otherwise there is still the manual "obtaining" of keys with "additem" or you set the option "manipulated locks" in the MCM

Go to the library in the Mages Guild and there should be a key to the forbidden bookshelf. Not sure what everything does there but grabbing the stuff from there will allow you to craft chastity keys and restraints keys from iron bars at a forge.
cold burn Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 So, I did the work on my end to insure this was an issue with this mod specifically, and not a result of me installing the mod incorrectly, using the wrong FNIS version, ect, and I am positive that the issue is on this mods end. Specifically regarding the conversion of it. One file was not converted to SE in the Devious Devices [SE][AE][VR] version 5.2, the file currently at both download locations. This issue remained present with both files, installed with Mod Organizer so I know nothing was overwriting things that should not be overwritten. The file in question is "FNIS_DDSL_Behavior.hkx". it is not SE compatible according to FNIS which spits up an error when its used. I believe, given no-one has provided a functional .hkx file that this was introduced with the most recent version. TI am bringing this to you attention so that this issue can be fixed. Its a minor one, and would have been very easy to make, but also might indicate that other files where not properly converted.

The animations (and the rest of the mod) are a batch conversion using CAO, it can't skip files. All I've done are some extra steps on top of the CAO conversion. More, I don't see that in my FNIS output.... And further, the mod has been out for months now. If it was a problem with the conversion on something as critical and basic as animation conversion, the thread would have blown up with comments about that, but it hasn't. I'd recommend checking your actual data folder. seems like a stray file probably crept in somewhere. Or remove and redownload and reinstall the mod, and double check the conflicts in the information window to be sure nothing is overwriting it. I'm using Mod Organizer. I get the following error messages when I carried out a sleep action in the Temple of Dibella that likely kicks off the Sanguine's Debauchery mod for the first time and puts me into devious devices. I got this error message, twice: "Libs is none in zadNPCQuestScript. Incomplete uninstall/upgrade attempt" Followed by another message (twice): "A fatal error has occurred with your installation of Devious Devices. Incomplete uninstall attempt perhaps. Aborting update chain." Followed by both messages again, a single time. This doesn't cause a CTD but its clearly indicative of some underlying problem of my install or load of DD. Papyrus log attached. Any thoughts? Papyrus.0.log

I'll keep that ^ in mind

If you have to, delete the game and reinstall it properly, to the new path. simply moving files doesn't update steam's registry settings. if you moved through steam, then that part is probably fine. if you've got duplicates, then you're going to have to look at what you've installed and see where they're coming from. for DD, make sure you only have DD 5.2 installed, and do not have DDa, DDi, DDx, DDc, DD for Him, or DD BRRF installed separately. Those are all old versions of the mod and will cause duplicates and break DD. I want to say thanks for the replies to my question. After looking a bit into an archive of sorts I made of prior game issues, I learned that I needed to get back into the ZaZ Animation Pack to adjust what I'm wearing. Some of these mods depend so heavily on other mods you're running, and you really have to take note of what you changed anywhere. After having this sideline me for almost two weeks, I had an intuition of what I've done. I'll share this in case others are using these mods here. The ZaZ setting for the wrist slots locked out the DD mod.
HeckinBestBork Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 I have an issue where some items are not present in the Beast Race Refits patch, namely the colored rope variants of gags and blindfolds (the non-colored rope are present) and the face masks. Looking at the plugin in xEdit it seems they aren't present in the patch at all rather than just not appearing/working/being overwritten.

The belly morphs option in the MCM are partial. The functionality is there, but morph names have changed or the morph directions are reversed in SE from LE, so they don't consistently work. However, these morphs were always very slight and meant to compensate for HDT clipping. Mostly what's in the patch are things that are SE specific with a few other odds and ends. I'll check if it's something simple to add, but it will probably take a while. @Kimy something else for the next version? zadx_blindfold_rope_blackAA [ARMA:070592DD] as an example, i can work up a patch or more complete list later. khajiit and argonian are not in the race list and i don't see a beast specific AA for that item.

As I said, I don't use the option in DD's MCM because of the issues in the script that i never cared to track down. it's a really subtle morph and not worth it when used with mods like fertility mode, estrus chaurus and egg factory. it's not the chastity belt that has a problem with the morphs, it's that the script is written for LE and some morphs are reversed in LE. Just leave it unchecked and racemenu will handle the morphing for other mods when you're wearing the chastity belt, assuming you built the bodyslides correctly.

It's normal for device hider to hide things, and it can do so during animations too. Sorry for the late reply, I needed a break after failing to fix the issue. Device Hider was already disabled and the Animations settings didn't help either. Anyhow, I returned and decided to disable all mods and enable them one by one to figure out the problem. Apparently Devious Device - Equip is the culprit. Without that mod, the Plug: "Iron Pear of Anguish" stayed in when animation starts, and with DD - Equip enabled, it would get removed. Still odd, since it only happens to the "Iron Pear of Anguish", the other (anal) plugs did not get removed even with DD - Equip activated. I don't recall seeing a setting in DD - Equip that uses Device Hider. Glad it's fixed now, so I can continue with the long playthrough. Hopefully no mod relied on the DD - Equip features... edit: p.s. I was using the Devious Devices patch for DD - Equip devices. I did not test if that was causing the issue. Everything else is working perfectly fine, and the bras are scaling to my character, however they aren't physics enabled. this is fine but the boobs underneath are still SMP enabled and clip a fair amount. I've turned on the breast node management to try to resize the boobs when a bra is worn, but it doesn't seem to do enough to solve the issue. Anyone got any solutions?

Use MFG Fix if you don't have it (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/11669?tab=description) if you do it's probably another animation overwriting it. When it happens to me I have to change race and change back.

Turned out there was something in my Fnis - Output folder that shouldn't have been there. Which is a embarrassing as I could have sworn I cleared it out first thing when things where being weird, but I had not and here we are. 1

No, 3ba or BHUNP. Look in their MCM and change the SMP slot usage to Devious Device compatible. The default slot the bodies use for SMP is the same slot the clit piercings use. 1
Nuascura Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Is there a reason why the White Ebonite Slave Harness can't be unlocked with Restraint Keys despite it being 'keyed to unlock via standard restraint keys'? Every other DD I have can be unlocked by a Restraint Key. It's just this one item that never shows the "unlock" option.

Slave shouldn't be standard keys as far as i recall, they should be a high security device.
