Phalanx01 Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Sorry if this has been addressed, couldn't find it right away, but I still have a lot of odd issues with female undressing. Males are fine, can't get the women to undress tho. I've tinkered in the AAF_equipmentSetData.xml file for a while now but whatever I try, it seems like it doesn't work. Is there another file taking precedence over this file or am I completely going the wrong way in trying to fix this?

But, I hear that you have to be careful using it because it can break things.
Boceifus Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 Not sure if this is an RSE or AAF bug. Could be a combination of both. RSE ardor event will summon turrets instead of actors or NPC's at times. Not sure if I have a bad setting or what but it is random it will summon a turret. I dont have flasy's most recent, is one before that, but it happened in earlier releases too. 1
patzy Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 Good Morning, I also have the problem with my player character not fully stripping, while NPCs do it just fine. I improved on it by tweaking my load order and discovered that clothing and armour mods that load after the animation mods (leito, crazy, rufgt and atomic lust in my case) is stripped, the issue that remains is mods that load a .bsa archive and .esl files as those get automatically sorted to load after .esm files and before .esp files. In my case my PC wears this: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/28009 which comes with a .bsa, every other item that is not from this mod (e.g. backpack, scouter, even wedding ring) get stripped off while the AAF-Scene plays. Stripping off gear works otherwise fine in all non-AAF-animations, like in RSE-Basic Needs, CWSS and BYOP. I hope this helps in tackling the issue that seems rather widespread.

So, this issue should be remedied if/when more mods are made that invoke animations through the API (in the right places, etc.). 12 hours ago, dagobaking said: 12 hours ago, astymma said: Dagobaking... as far as the wizard goes, that is my preferred way of using AAF. We all end up preferring specific animations out of the packs of animations made available to us so I tend to use the wizard in order to get the right animation I want. You're definitely not alone. The wizard ended up being more of a focus than I expected. So, I will put more effort than planned into improving it. I'm another one that is not interested in using mods to 'call' AAF. I just want to use the wizard, period. That's why I wish the wizard had more options, like a per-animation choice of whether to undress instead of a blanket setting for all animations, and the at-player or near-player place option, and so on. I like the progress that's going on now with making the menu tidier, and would love to see category groupings that make sense and make it easier to find what I'm looking for. 8 hours ago, kraoro said: Should I do a complete uninstall and try a clean save, or do I have to start a new game every time there's a F4SE update? Do not use the function "delete unattached instances". I can't stress that enough. At the top, there is a drop-down menu where you can choose to filter by mod. Individually choose every mod related to AAF, including all your animation packs and associated compatibility patches, and for each mod delete any script instances and/or changeforms that show up underneath. Then save the saved game you just modified in a new file, launch FO4 and load the save, ignore the error that pops up that the save relies on mods you no longer have, save the game again, load the new save you just made--and then it should all work. At least that's how I do it, and it has never failed me.

Yeah, and if anyone can hook me up with that mod I will write a sonnet in your honor. ...Or at least a haiku? Don't know if I remember how to write a sonnet, been a more than a couple of decades since English class for me. I can try, though.
sharonasbar12 Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 Upgraded to new f4se and updated all files including new AAF and patches. Now the human male does not become erect. Dogmeat is erect, only human males. I remember some discussion about this here, but couldn't find it when I searched erect in this forum. Please help! LoadOrder_Fallout4_2018-07-30T08-31-38.txt

You have to follow the guide and really pay attention to everything it says.
forgets Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 If I can make another suggestion--now that AAF is in beta, since installation and usage is so confusing for so many users I think it would be useful to bundle a readme.txt file in with the mod. Doesn't have to be a new detailed instruction manual, it can just direct users to resources already available to give basic information/solve common problems. In fact, if you include a little F.A.Q. in there, it might preempt a lot of recurring questions in this forum. I'm sure you can readily think of a few.

Boceifus Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 Nope have savage cabbage and home maker uninstalled and it still summons a turret for ardor event. I may have to try to re install everything short of homemaker and savage cabbage.

sharonasbar12 Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 Yea, I did that. Reinstalled everything from scratch, following the instructions. Started a new game too. No luck, only flaccid. Wondering about Leito's rigs mod.

If they aren't showing up they are being overwritten by something else or they aren't installed. If I remember correctly before the patch we would install EVB ourselves. If you cant get it working through the patch you might try that.

Just to clarify--when you are installing the Leito/Crazy patch and it prompts you whether to overwrite files, you must choose to overwrite. Otherwise, no hard-ons.

This was my general approach in earlier days. I put instructions about things in as many places I could think of. But, it didn't seem to cut down on questions and just added work maintaining multiple copies of the same info. I decided a while back to streamline and just maintain these things in one place. I feel that it has worked pretty well all things considered. There are always going to be people who dont want to read anything and prefer to get stuck and ask others to walk them through it from there. They wont read readme.txt files either. 13 hours ago, tjuebussen said: I think you might be referring to Simple Sex animations by Gamoholic. But he is gone along with all his mods. I do wonder what happened to him. He was great to work with and contributed regularly. Maybe he'll come back eventually. Anyway, that mouth-opening technique was tested out by other animators as well. It involved using a hidden eating "expression". It might look ok in certain circumstances. But, for wide use, it didn't look right because the mouth would chomp down like... eating. I think the best solution would be if someone just made MFG for FO4. One other hack that might work would be to make a topic of a character saying "AAAAAAAAH" and use lip-sync. But, there is a bunch of setup involved and it would need to be listened to and repeated to stay open. It might not really work either...
forgets Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 1 hour ago, dagobaking said: I do wonder what happened to him. He was great to work with and contributed regularly. Maybe he'll come back eventually. I asked about Simple Sex Animations in the Request/Find section, because I am rather keen (not to use the word 'desperate') to find that mod, hating myself for not grabbing it before it was too late. A LL moderator replied, saying that Gamoholic requested his account to be closed and his mods removed from the website. So something must have happened, maybe he got religion, cancer, prison--could be any number of things, who knows. But his mods have dropped off the face of the internet, and so has he as far as I know. So yeah, I'll basically trade a kidney for Simple Sex Animations if anyone is willing to share it. (Probably someone else's kidney, but you'll get a kidney)
