My AFF 63 with Compatibility Patches V2.0 work with clean save. No error.
After selected animation as usual, I press PGUP key to start animation.
I then tried proxy with FP Vanilla Fudge, but not start animation.
May be problem is due to PGUP key?

The problem was an oversight in the wrapper that's caused by the change to the ESM format.
AAF V64 alpha and Compatibility Patches V2.1 will fix this ... hopefully.
This minor looking change to the plugin format was supposed to solve a famous error and not create new ones ... but error is human.

Hancock and Nick Valentine don't show up in the selection menu for me. I am really, really sad about this. Is there a way to fix it?

Wait...so Valentine and Hancock don't have human skeletons? And AAF will not work with them?

If so, all of this is pointless for me, they are the only two I am interested in animating/posing. Crap.

I don't remember if they use human skeleton...

The xml to edit is AAF_actorTypeData.xml to add actors in the list

To be sure can you use the leito gun on them?

They might have simply been filtered out because AAF wouldn't be able to lock them in an animation.
Followers and quest NPC's are always problematic and AAF is still in development.
Expecting wonders and immidiate fullfillment of ones kinks is asking for a bit to much.

Now with 64 and patch 2.1 is all ok :)

## [Alpha 64] - 2018-05-30
### Fixed
- Another issue created by the switch to .esm. Hopefully, this is the last fix related to that!

### Added
- `ignore_animation_genders` setting.

EDIT: PS, THERE IS ALSO AN UPDATED PROXY IN THE COMPATIBILITY PATCH THAT IS NEEDED FOR THAT TO WORK.

@CGi I'm in trouble if it is a notable absence when I go to sleep for the night! :D

I am back from sleeping! ;)

Compared to some developers who have been gone for months (Kenjoka - where are you?) dagobaking is doing great!

Same thing happening with me, even with 63

Is hopefully fixed with latest build.

63 was not a successful test on my end. Every NPC in the area, AAF puts up a message about invalid NPC ID like Actor ID: 1074289036 Not Found.

Lots of different IDs.

No animations registered or usable.

This build might require a clean install on my end...

Is hopefully fixed with latest build.

Plz assure me that a huge chart that takes up most of my screen is only for testing purposes?

Yes. The purpose of AAF has always been to be called by other mods. The wizard ("huge chart") was originally just to be a way to easily test features/animations. But, a lot of people like to use it as a feature/utility in itself which is cool too.

Human animations should work with them because they use the same skeleton. They are probably not showing up as an option because they don't have a keyword AAF is looking for when it scans for actors (with certain keywords).

You can add/change the keywords AAF uses in that search in "AAF_actorTypeData.xml".

Right now, it has:

<actorType form="0002CB72" id="ActorTypeNPC"/>

I would have thought that would capture Hancock, etc. But, I guess not. Maybe add another actorType node underneath that for the "ActorTypeSynth" keyword. You will need to look up the form ID.

Another possibility is that you are near a reference of those characters that comes from a mod rather than the vanilla form?

The skeletons that each race uses are defined in AAF_raceData.xml .

They should be using the human skeleton and be ok for most animations. I think they might not have the "ActorTypeNPC" keyword. Another possibility is that the game counts them as being "Dead" since they are robots? I do filter the results for dead actors...

AAF 64, patch 2.1

Has anyone gotten Just Business working with the latest build? Most attempts at training result in a CTD or hung game...

Rufgt's animations seem to work well using the AAF Wizard. Everything in the AAF Wizard seems to work.

Still no Crazy or Leito animations in the AAF Wizard.

Don't know on RSE yet - I don't know how to force an animation.

AAF 64, patch 2.1 :

New bug : When trying to close the wizard by pressing the Home button, it instead open a new one like this :

ScreenShot2.thumb.png.f3f1c478b2eea1cb053bcfd16126c39e.png

As you can see their are two wizards overlapping each other. Didn't have this bug before (and i even removed Four Play + Four Play patched to get it work better)

The only way I can close it is by tapping on the left arrow unltil it closes up.

EDIT : Fixed it ; it seems that the installer didn't removed the old version. So I had two AAF.esm : v60 and v64. You can always take a look or i've done something wrong ?

EDIT 2 : Another bug :

I have always seen issues with the Crazy animations. So, am not supporting them. I think there is something unique about how the esp and/or animations are made that is problematic.

I have tested the Leito animations and they work for me. So, seems like there must be some install issue or outside mod interference.

Any ideas on this @CGi? It definitely looks like there are 2 AAFs installed. But, I didn't know it was possible to have two esm of the same name? Make one esm and the old esp is still there? Is this an installer issue? Or just needs proper uninstallation first?

EDIT 2 : Another bug :

From another user, this appears to be from updating on an uncleaned save.

Quote

Yes it will. If you uninstall the previous version and install the new ESM, the AAF menu will throw an error when launched ("Actor ID "20" not found.") and it will not let you close the menu.

I uninstalled the old AAF, made a new save, ran FallrimTools to clean the 8 leftover scripts out of that save, then I installed the new ESM version. No errors came up that way. I don't know if there's any lasting issues past that so far.

Would it be possible for you to post a screen shot of the AAF Wizard with Two NPC Leito animations showing?

I can't tell if mine is bad if I don't know what it should look like...

I will remove all Crazy animations.

Thanks!

I think something goes wrong... I can't see leito MF animations, only crazy anims... I will take a look tomorrow. You can try new lesbians patch instead ^^

Thank you - and Dang it!  None of those Leito show in mine. Will they show if I have wrong genders selected?

Polistro assures us he only has one version of his patch file.

Although I did just add his new Lesbian one in addition to the MF.

Any tips you can give us about required mod order?

I have AAF.esm right up at the top.

The Proxy is - later. No specific order requested. I don't think the Proxy is used by the AAF Wizard anyway.

Edited to add: I removed Crazy and turned Debug on - and now Leito animations show up in Wizard.

Maybe a broken Crazy was blocking them somehow... Or I was luckier with gender selection. I did try to find a MF this time.

Thanks again - your screen shot helped a lot!

Yes. Choosing genders that dont match the animations will cause them to be filtered out of the list. Sounds like maybe that is what is happening?

You can check the wiki for instructions on how to change the gender settings.

I can say the same @fred200, if i find a solution, i will let you know

I think I found the issue. Another one related to switching from esp to esm. That turned out to be a bigger pain than expected.

Will post the fix as soon as CG is able to update the FOMOD.

Posted

This is a vital fix. So I'm going to post the loose file build 65 here until @CGi can make the FOMOD version. Please keep in mind that this is the dev esp version. Using this may cause you to need a clean save when you switch to the FOMOD esm version. It also might need some wrangling with the load order.

Other than the CTDs with Just Business, I think my biggest problem is how extremely slow it runs.

It can take up to five minutes for the animation to start. That is on an I7 4790 and SSD.

Anything I can capture in log to show what is going on?

Oh - And I did get an RSE animation to run.

I removed SEU from my load order. It does not want to animate.

Not sure what is going on there. I have never seen it take a long time to start animations.
