You should treat all versions of SkyrimSE.exe higher than 1.5.97 as AE for the sake of conversational accuracy so we can have a common frame of reference in dialog. Anything else is just going to create unnecessary confusion when talking about compatibility between all the various components (SKSE, DLLs, etc.). Until someone makes a mod that requires the Anniversary Upgrade and says the requirements are the Anniversary Update...

Unnecessarily pedantic. Dependencies are dependencies. Only time it really matters is when we're talking about DLL-based mods and things that extend the game binary (SKSE64, other preloaders, NetScriptFramework mods, etc.). You don't even need AE binaries (1.6.x version of SkyrimSE.exe) to use non-DLL AE content. I have a hybrid install like this. I'm still playing SE when it comes to all the DLL goodies. Best of both worlds, but I do look forward to when I can use the 1.6.x EXE without grief. I want to try out that improved script performance, but nothing worth destroying my stable SE-binary/AE-content build to do it.

DismissedClaim Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 By the way. This is a direct link to the new version of Racemenu. Not sure why it hasn't gone up on the Nexus yet. https://www.patreon.com/file?h=59959475&i=9624564 This link should work without having a Patreon account. (It did for me anyway.)

Guest Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Anyone else just slightly peeved that they still haven't worked out the hotkey bind CTD bug yet?

AttilaMagyar Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Has anyone else noticed that the sexlab animations seem to delay when starting a sexlab animation almost like a stalling of sorts? amd that's with the latest version of sexlab framework. 2

There has always been a slight lag in starting animations. What are you specifically referring to?

Some mods experience lag of several minutes or more, like BattleFuck. Some mod authors suspect it is a timing variable in SL being too short, so systems under load and experiencing subpar FPS can stall during animation setup...if I've been keeping up with the conversation correctly. BattleFuck gets around it with ConsoleUtilSSE and a function to open and close the console over and over quickly, which creates brief pauses in the game and allows SL to catch up and get over the stalls. I've seen it in action in my game using BattleFuck and not enabling that feature. Actors just stand around.
JimUpdating Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 thank you to all the people who have put in the time to update their codes! 2

pburnt Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 I've spent the last couple weeks trying to figure out why I had an infinite loading screen before the main menu. Finally removed everything today and found out it was the flashing screen fix was somehow screwed up. Reinstalled it and now everything works. So frustrating. I'll never understand how things get messed up in the Skyrim folder. 1
tasairis Posted December 26, 2021 Author Posted December 26, 2021 Normally I'd expect a new SE update tomorrow morning, but since it's the holidays the update might be delayed another week - possibly two.

Well, this time Todd won't break my game. My steam is offline and I intend to keep it that way until all the mods I use are updated for the new release. Except for DAR (and all the mods that depend on it), I finally got my game working with everything I normally use, since last Beth game breaker. Thanks for the heads up.
tasairis Posted December 27, 2021 Author Posted December 27, 2021 Kinda forgot to do normal list stuff too. Finally made the plunge to SE and your list really save me a lot of headaches. Also want to point out that I found someone uploaded a SE conversion for the Reward Your Followers mod a while back. 2
Dremora Lord Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 Estrus Chaurus SE is now available in the original mod (V4.390). The version linked to is the old SE one and is likely obsolete now. Spoiler 2
RamasesII Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 was looking at the list as far as mod managers go and I didnt know if you wanted this for your list so I will add it here and you can delete it if you like. I never liked Mod Organizer, and when I tried the new Vortex it was a huge mess. I have always stayed with Nexus Mod Manager even after they switched to Vortex and stopped supporting NMM. I use this instead since someone took up NMM and kept it alive. https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases 1

danoid22 Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 (edited) No concrete time measurements but 1.6.342 IMO definitely has faster loading screens than older SE and infinitely faster than LE. When I think back of all the wasted man hours waiting for loading screens measured sometimes in minutes just because Bethesda didn't properly optimize their code, it makes me want to go out and give them more and more money... Wonder, how "faster" scripts will have an influence. One gets 17ms per frame. With and without "faster" scripts. If there is an optimisation, I would expect in in the range of 10 to 20 lines less in 1000, what is 1 to 2%.

More like you have less mods to loads so it's faster.
