I install everything correctly. I run fores with no errors and it reads SL. Go into game and install it from MC. Installs fine and gives me all the options. When I die I get an error "SL is not compatible with current version of skyrim VR. It seems that the new SL download doesn't work in VR anymore. Not sure what else to do. I have all the mods required by the list. No additional mods expect for Alternate Start

Sexlab has never been supported VR that I know of. It's only natively compatible with the main release (Oldrim, LE, SE and AE). You gotta use the VR patch.

inquiring, is anyone else having the game crash at save?

I'm sure there are others like yourself, though that isn't indicative of any particular issue at large.  What versions of things are you using?  Have you Installed any new mods to an existing game?  Upgrade any mods?  Let your load order change at all?  All of those can lead to what is happening to you now.

Using both FNIS and Nemesis for SKSE Special Edition. Got some errors...

ERROR(6002): An exception has occured while patching. Report to Nemesis' author immediately
File: Alternate Animation
Message: copy_file: The system cannot find the path specified.: "alternate animation\alternate animation.script", "C:\Users\Asus User\AppData\Local\Nemesis\Nemesis_AA_Core.psc"

And in the warning it said

Quote

You have one or more script extender plugins which failed to load!

If you want this notification to go away, here are some steps you can take:

• Look for updates to the mod or the specific plugin included in the mod.

• Disable the mod containing the plugin.

• Hide or delete the plugin from the mod.

To refresh the script extender logs, you will need to run the game and/or editor again!

The failed plugins are:

• Couldn't load SexLabUtil.dll (SexLabFrameworkSE_v). A DLL is invalid (code 193).

Wh...What are this? '-')

Version numbers matter.  What version of Skyrim SE, SKSE64 and Sexlab Framework are you using?  You can't just mix them up as you want.  There is a compatibility relationship that must be maintained.  Can't help you with Nemesis, but if I had some idea of your game and SKSE64 version, I could recommend which version of Sexlab you should be using.

Greetings, im having trouble getting the message "Reading SexLab...". Can anyone help, Ive provided a screenshot.

It appears from your folder structure and the fact that FNIS can't identify your game as any known (legal) version, that you are running a cracked (Pirated) version of the game. Pretty much nothing will work with that.

However, if you have, in fact, found some way to legally install and play a non-pirated legal version of the game from that outlaw folder, the following steps should fix it:

  1. Gender-specific animations should be ticked
  2. Your skeleton is outdated with only 99 bones- you need to install XMPSSE, which has 126 bones, and make sure nothing overrides the skeleton files
  3. You are running FNIS from the Vortex Staging Folder; you need to run it from the game folder structure, which should be:

..\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\

I'm getting this message when I log in. I also cannot get Sexlab to install, but it does appear on the MCM list. I downloaded the SE version. I've check and double checked. I have all the correct requirements for the SE version. And I looked,  and the SexLabUtil.dll file is definitely in the correct folder.

While I understand the motivation for this overly-simplistic instruction, it is not necessarily correct.

For example, you should only tick File Redirection if you want separate FNIS Behavior Files for each of multiple profiles in MO2 or Vortex. Until you get everything going in your game (i.e. you are in troubleshooting mode), File Redirection is just an added complication. I would respectfully suggest that you skip it for now to uncomplicate your SSE installation as much as possible until you get it all working. THEN you can re-run FNIS with File Redirection enabled.

And you should DEFINITELY NOT tick the Archery Gameplay Overhaul patch unless you actually have that mod installed and enabled.

Ok, I have the first three checked and thth1's check with no errors or problems. When I check DServant's Archery it doesn't give me an error either but I will leave it unchecked per your guidance. Thanks!

Question.... Do I really need SSEEdit or can I play the game without it.

You do not need it.

Does the most recent version of SexLab AE work with Skyrim VR?

I nearly have everything working I think except it won't download the update/install in game.

SL has never officially supported VR afaik, and I can 1000% guarantee you that the latest AE build will NOT work with VR.

You can try this, but it requires an older version + YMMV if it goes anywhere.

Thanks for that info. I'm really surprised there isn't really support for the VR version.
And I'm surprised that older versions arn't archived for download somewhere.
What is YMMV?

Where are all Sexlab Settings stored (which folder), like animatino profile and registered animations, progress and so on?

I wanted to update sexlab the first time, but did not read the instructions. So I first disabled the old version in vortex and then enabled the new version.
But now all my settings are gone and so on...
I have a backup of nearly all skyrim/mod/vortex files, but I don't want to revert everything back, only copy paste my old sexlab data into it. So where is it?

"Your mileage may vary", meaning that someone has said something works a certain way but when it comes time to trying it for yourself you may find that it isn't quite as described.

Is there any way to use an older version of SexLab? Or a workaround for using an older version of SKSE?

You can use Sexlab 1.63 with SSE 1.5.97/SKSE64 2.0.20.

I think another guy asked this but i will ask again. Is there any way to get sexlab framework for 1.6.342. This AE version works with most of the mods and i need the framework for this version. Really thinking about downgrading fully to 1.5.97 because tired of asking this kind of questions all the time. Dont really want to because new install of 100+ mods but what can you do.

I've noticed that the latest version of Sexlab for AE going up.  Now, I'm wondering if these updates are simply due to PapyrusUtil and SexlabUtil being updated for the new AE version.  Can I simply drop the scripts from that version into 1.63 for 1.5.97 to get those updates and fixes?  I don't bother updating the .DLLs.

I'm having a CTD when loading a save. It starts running through the initialization for all my mods and then when it gets to SexLab it crashes. According to the papyrus log the crash happens after SexLab strats the CleanActor storage and changes a number from 49 to 48 and then the game crashes. I'm using the newest version of SexLab.

Yes but none of the scripts are charged between the official v1.63 and the v1.64c.

Inside the "SKSE/SexLab" folder on the previous mod folder.
