It has to be the OS turning on some background process killing the CPU power to the game. But strangely the OS doesn't do that when loading up a Save.

My system can raise up to 80C for CPU and not more than 65C from GPU top temperatures.

I have i7 7700 at 4.2Ghz with 32 GB Ram and Nvidia GTX 1050 TI, everything with overclocking option but I never used it because I need water coolers and I don't trust them.

A water lick ends it all!

I have this monitor software to see them.

I use win 10 and I can tell you that after their latest OS upgrades win 10 Enterprise at least works fine, with not any issues from past. 

MassiveSoft (Win7-8-8.1-10 is not MicroSoft any more!) did a good job on latest OS upgrades.

I have Win 7 Pro and Win 10 Home. Win 7 Enterprise and Win 10 Enterprise doesn't have to put up with the extra BS that the Pro and Home versions do. The last round of updates for Win 7/10 Pro and Home were not so good.

Consider that both our systems are Hyper Computers for this game, that only needs 4gb virtual memory, we should not concern about any OS turning on some background processes.

So what ever it is, has to do with this game, bro!

Microsoft .Net Framework 4.7.2 crashes several C# applications in windows 7 x64. It crashed even Visual studio. To see if this update makes error on your system, use S3PE on a package that contains a CC object, a car a table what ever. Open it and and look for a GEOM resource click on it and choose GEOM preview. If the model viewer of S3PE crash, uninstall .Net Framework 4.7.2 and download and install .Net Framework 4.6.2. This might affect also Sims 3

I'll just have to take your word for it. I don't really use CC and trying to find something that uses GEOM resources will be like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

But that does make sense when I come to think about it Woohooer's Kama Simtra Professionals stopped working properly for me right after .net 4.7 got installed I took it at the time just coincidence since that was kinda touchy anyway as sometimes it would error out.

 

I wonder if it does the same thing on Win 10 Home which is what I'm using now and I suspect it probably does as the Wooohooer Kama Simtra Professionals still don't work.

Okay I did find something Cmar's Morphing Penis I clicked on the GEOM it didn't crash but there was a 3 to 4 second delay for the Preview to load up.

So I opened up a world file and looked for an OBJN resource and had a 5 second delay for the Hex View to show up, that shouldn't happen that Hex View should load up without delay.

 

Not to mention a couple of days ago I had to download a Hotfix from MS cause my game and a few other apps lost sound and it was right after an update to .net 4.7.2 on Win 10 Home.

I setup a pc today at work with windows 7 ultimate x64.

I installed visual studio and it worked ok until windows started download and install updates.

After .NetFramework 4.7.2 was installed MSI programs that need .netframework 4 start crashing.

I opened VS and it crashed too.

I saw that VS was using .netframework 4.6.2 with no issues.

I test it with S3PE and the model viewer of S3PE was also crashing.

I uninstalled .netframework 4.7.2 (was one of last updates for win 7) and installed 4.6.2 and everything came back to normal.

Then I googled "netframework 4.7.2 crashes" and I saw lots of posts about it.

In my windows 10 Enterprise is not yet installed as update. I don't know what will happen if it's installed.   

 

-Edit- Don't waist time on MS fixes of it, because they do nothing on win 7.

And all my computers have one thing in common they all have .net 4.7. LOL! You only need to uninstall NetFrameWork 4.7.2 and install 4.6.2 (you must install a version of it) No need to reinstall the whole OS!

Can't it's part of the 1809 version and won't uninstall.

 

Besides I have downloaded copies of all the updates needed for 1607 and would only take 2 hrs to do the reinstall and fully update.

I don't know, Enterprise is on 1803 and it's fully updated.

Still I have the option to uninstall any update.

Unlike Win 10 Enterprise and Education, Win 10 Home and Pro is more restricted you have less options and very little control of your own computer.

Wasn't like that with previous Windows OS' were in Win 7 I had total control on how my computer was maintained.

Thanks a lot for your effort and since we have a long, long post about issues with this BarMaid mod and since the service run for you without any problems, can you give us a help here?

1) what windows you use as your OS Win XP, Win Vista, Win 7, Win 8-8.1 or Win 10?

2) Look at your programes and features of windows on your control panel.

Is MS .NetframeWork  4.7.2 installed?

If not which version you see?

I3 CPU, WIN XP SP3, NET Framework 4 Extended, Version 4.030319.
I think there is no later version for XP

and - Gates is locked out so far.

Have meanwhile all SP&EP installed and more than 500 package files in the mod folder.
But due to the limited RAM (3GB) in XP,  I used to play tiny small worlds using not much

of the EPs at all. At least this avoid the save error XP user faced - long time ago.

As such a dino I can not be really of help I am afraid.

 

By the way, it took me a while realizing that wordgame.
A Bar and Maid Service I did not expect behind BarMaid at first.
Then the Barman started cleaning the house. Perfect for my purpose since most of

the worlds I play don't have roads. And to my experience : No Roads, you can engage a

Maid but a Maid will never appear on your lot.

So your BarMaid fit for me also from this view very well. Thanks again !

The service sims in Sims 3 have a restriction to romantic interactions, except the butler.

I want those maids to have full romantic interactions with any hirer sim of the active lot and be the "easy" one to participate in passion.

I think I found something today.

Needs more work of course but I think that the next version of BarMaids will be more realistic in what they do autonomous.

I'm still on experiment with this service but this will open a road for more...

But from my side I can take part on testing besides the

Okay on my Win 7 computer I uninstalled net 4.7.2 and installed net 4.6.2

But nope it still gets stuck at 99%.

 

The only explanation it can be is there is something different about the NA/SA version of the game, which it could very well be I just helped someone with a doppelganger problem with Playable Resident Ghosts turns out the way the bug shows up for them is totally different the way it shows up for a NA/SA game. In the NA/SA game when you evict Resident Playable Ghosts from Edit Town it creates duplicate tombstones when they are placed back into town. But in her game which is in Russian when she does that it creates duplicate ghost sims.

 

Also learned that in the European version of the game certain Store Items are already part of the game and they get installed from the game disc or Origin Download, whereas for someone with a NA/SA game has to buy those same items from the Store even though it's on the game disc and in the Origin Download they don't get installed because those items are blocked from being installed from the disc or Origin Download if you are in the NA/SA Region.

I've installed in my packages folder so far the 15 required cmar packages, along with the cmar_XCAS_corefullSteam67.package, the main files required for passion (passion.package, Animated_WooHoo_Passion_Ver2.7.3.0.package) and the 7 packages required to run along AW. Before installing the animation packages for the mod, I launched the game to see if it would boot up correctly, and it just crashes. Not sure what's wrong exactly with the packages in my folder, since I'm quite sure I put all the files necessary for the mod to work. I am open to any suggestions or tips that could possibly assist me in this problem.

 

I would've inserted an attachment showing the last log from when i launched the game, as well as a screenshot showing the packages in my folder, but for some reason, I am unable to insert any attachments. the "Insert other media" option doesn't seem to work with simple clicking and dragging, nor does clicking and dragging files to the reply box itself, so i'm not sure how the attachments work. The most I can give as of now is my specs.

The truth is that I saw the StoreObjects in the game\bin it's inside in one of these three files gameplay.package, scripts.package and simcore.package.

Open them with S3PE one of them should have this core other wise the game would crash.

Hey, first make sure that your game version is steam and then post a screenshot of your mods because I'm sure that you have a none steam core mod also. That's for the crash to desktop (CTD) Your system if perfect for the game and any mods.

Today I modified Sims3.Gameplay.Systems core and I removed the restriction that EA has about romantic interactions and service sims.

Service sims can socialize romantic only if they stop their service for few sim hours before they leave. All except butlers. That's past now!

I test it to see how maids, batenders etc work with those interactions and I try to understand the reason EA made this restriction.
