Are there more important bug fixes besides the Mast thing on this version? i've already advanced quite a bit and i don't wanna start again...
Delzaron Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 How i could find the snake's throat ? I explored in ck, and there is no connection to the outside... Warning : AFS strongly modify the reach region. I'll check if that mine if conflicting with some AFS stuff. If necessary, i'll try to move it somewhere else. Edit : Marcus definitly drank, so I use coc to find the snake throat (what is the normal way to get in this place ?) The place is bugged : some walls disappear (i think it's due to the cell construction, i face the same problem many times). Tcl is not usable, so I can't explore the place. The gangers are just too strong, even for my level 20 forsworn with arrows who deals 800 damages. Invulnerability don't work against them, and they kill you in just two kicks. Agaisn the werewolf, ok, i can understand, it for reward the trap strategy... by against common bandits like the ones you slain in every cave or mine you enter...

Probably the biggest scene I've ever done, or rather there are many scenes but they are all part of the same event. In fact, it is secret, and I thought it would not be found right away, but nothing can be secret when especially inquisitive people climb into the construction set We must give Marsus a lot of booze, equivalent to 150 gold. Then sit on a chair. It will depend on whether your character has money with him or not. If not, or very little (I don't remember exactly, I seem to have put less than 100). In this case, we will only have one memory. If you had money, after the big scene you can still listen to the version of Marsus (attention if you have a memory potion with you, the scene will not reach the end), then you can watch the real version with the help of memory potions, 1 - on Marsus' bed, 2 - near the smelter . The stolen gold will be in the miners' chest (be careful, they are spending it on the sly :), so if you want to return it it is better not to put it on the back burner :)) You can return to the minerals at any time, but there is a timing when they rest. 11) If you choose the path of Mars, everything is clear here, there will be scenes at the entrance, there will be no second scene if there was a scene with a troll before (in any case, until I made an extended version, where the character can finally get rid of this effect: )). I made a branch with a guard so that it would be possible to pass without sex, but only in this branch a scene at the end with another mini-game will be available, I will not describe everything there clearly and simply. Also if Marsus is sleeping and not getting up, punch him one time!
mistyfatguy Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Damn, Im stuck at Falkreath because im not getting the dialog option to ask if people saw the thief and idk whats causing it. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Well, the Snake Throat map symbol should appear on your map. And Lefty's gang is strong to reflect the fact that everyone else should be in a weakened state due to the mining work. It's also supposed to make you get allies and poison the keg.

quiquecalero Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Helllp, i don´t know why the animations doesn´t work. I run FNIS and the charachters are static in the animations, and in the previous versions all works fine.

I advanced, entered the mine as a slave, kill everyboy except thief and the girl (that's a shame... with my 800 damage arrows and the best bow in the game, I was nearly to loose against Daug !!!) I escaped, and accepted to help thief to recover his stachels... the one near the swan south to windhelm is very hard to find...
Delzaron Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Finished it. I wasn't able to play the solitude part, i didn't liked the slave mine part, some rape scenes made me uncomfortable, the fights scenes are a living hell for a beginning character (and even a leveled one will have difficulties) but your mod is a fucking jewel !!! surely the best I ever saw here. I can only dream to make something aproaching that. Yep, i finished it, and the scene, the credits, at the end... amazing ! how did you done that ? and yeah, the end is lovely ! I can't wait to see your next project. If i had more money to spend, i'd like to support you. ?? oh, i checked : no problem to run it with AFS, i run it both, none AFS assets interfer with it.

Have you got all the scenes? There are ones easy to miss in the Skunkway

Delzaron Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 2 minutes ago, Highborn said: Have you got all the scenes? There are ones easy to miss in the Skunkway I think not. I was able to play the mod until the begin of Falkreath. There is a zone near the road to falkreath which make the game crash. For the same reason, i was not able to play the falkreath and solitude parts. So, yes, I surely missed a lot of content, if i refer to the questions in the skip option. I played the skunkway, if it's what the hideout is, tested the arena (loose every time), the brothel, the cooking... it's why I didn't knew who was Vala. I didn't dated the different characters in the skunkway... About the mine, I don't know, after being raped by guards and Lefty, found thief, and kill everybody else. After, I helped thief, meet a certain prince, and finish the mod at the nightgate inn.
Phosphoribosyl Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Hey, love that this mod got another yuge update! I used the skip to get to section 0.95 and started this play-through from there, and i haven't even gotten to the new 1.0 stuff yet (excited though), but I noticed something strange. The Journal entries for the quests seem to get ahead of the actual quests starting as soon as Oglaf shows you to your bed when first reaching the skunkway. as soon as I activate the bed for the "Go to Bed" objective, I get the "Completed: find out about the Arena" objective, and so on. So now by my first day in the Mast, the journal entries already indicate that I already have Runa's contract and need to give it to Toris. The actual gameplay seems to progress just fine, just the journal entries are several steps ahead now. I'm assuming that the journal entries are controlled by a separate quest? Has anyone else run into this bug? reloading a save from before I noticed the de-sync resulted in the same behavior. I haven't tried fully restarting everything yet though.

microbat1977 Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 This mod is surprising, but I think it's a very bad choice to Forcing a first-person perspective,. The camera angle is weird, and we miss a lot of scenes. Dogma, if you see it, please patch it.
WaterRabbit Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 So I found the mod enjoyable up until the Skunkway. From this point on, it seems to be more an exercise in control of the story by the author instead of allowing for character agency. If played straight it involves a number of tedious task. Anytime people are looking for cheats to get around these tasks, that should be a sign of a failure in design. Even in Brewmasterhal's walkthrough he points out a number of places where cheating is literally the best option, not to mention all of the requests for codes and variables in this thread. After entering the Skunkway, both the character and the player seem to lose all agency. I never felt like I was playing the character from this point forward. It becomes almost the worst kind of railroad. Just trying to get the story to move forward along the railroad requires a lot of unnecessary effort. It doesn't help that the character has to constantly run around from one place to another. The maze section becomes increasingly tedious to work with (and mostly unnecessary). Most of the content feels like it is time filler instead of actively engaging in the story. The story also seems to have lost its playful tone as well. Instead of enticing the character into sexual encounters (the scene with the porter is probably the best example of this), they become more and more forced to the point where it breaks the logic of the Codex. The most blatant example was the encounter with the smuggler. By the laws of the area, the participants should suffer some consequences. It is one thing to break the logic of the area by luring the character somewhere with no witnesses, it is another to blatantly assault the character in a crowded hall. Mostly the Skunkway is full of dead ends where one has to constantly try to find hidden conditions to move any of the quests along. I think the part of the problem is that instead of breaking the main quests into a number of smaller sub-quests, everything is lumped together into one big quest in which none of the stages give any hints about where to look next. It is one thing to handhold the player like the quests in the vanilla game and another to be so obtuse that everything becomes a scavenger hunt. An example of this is you are told to find the smuggler but not even a hint where to look. Just a simple line, like "you can usually find him watching the fights" would be sufficient. Maybe when Brewmasterhal (really the unsung hero of this module, as without his efforts I doubt it would have made it this far) finishes the translation it will make more sense and improve the flow of the module. Finally, Dogma really needs to stop taking control of the character all the time -- it is damn annoying. Just a trivial example of this (but it finally caused me to just 'qqq' out of the game since it was like the 6th or 7th instance of this in a row) -- leaving the Skunkway. The guard tells the character to get her equipment from storage. It is obvious what you need to do but yet after two steps I lose control of the character once more. Leave some agency for the character. Quit forcing the character to use certain armor and weapons through dialogue. Just put the armor and weapons in a cabinet and let the character pick what they want -- there really isn't anything in the maze to even bother putting on armor to protect against anyway. Don't like magic? Instead of removing it entirely, just make it more expensive to use or increase the resistance of creatures to it. The technical aspects of the module are still quite impressive and I think most modders would love to have Dogma's skills in this area. Overall I have enjoyed the module. I delayed getting Cyberpunk because I wanted to play this first. However, I think this needs a bit more time in the oven to clean up some bugs and maybe revisit some of the quests. 2
