Popular Post vinfamy Posted April 10, 2017 Popular Post Posted April 10, 2017 This guide assumes no previous knowledge of modding to make it accessible to everyone, so some details may appear trivial to you. Some of the steps are 'to be on a safe side'/ 'just in case' and might not be entirely necessary. Last updated: 28 Oct 2017 Step 1 - Buy and Install Fallout 4 There is no need to install any DLCs for Four-Play to work. Make sure you have the latest version of the game (1.9 - released 6 Feb 17). Steam should automatically keep your game up-to-date. Run the game at least once to generate the ini's needed for Step 2 Step 2 - Enable Modding and Papyrus Logging Navigate to Documents/My Games/Fallout 4 Right click on Fallout4Prefs.ini, select Properties, untick Read-only if it's currently ticked and click OK. Repeat for Fallout4Custom.ini. Open Fallout4Prefs.ini Find [Launcher] section, under it, make sure that bEnableFileSelection=1 If [Launcher] or bEnableFileSelection doesn't exist, add them It should look like this: [Launcher] bEnableFileSelection=1 Save Fallout4Prefs.ini Still in the same folder, open Fallout4Custom.ini If Fallout4Custom.ini doesn't exist, create a new text document and name it Fallout4Custom.ini Find/ Create [Archive] section and make sure it looks like this: [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal= (Optional but Recommended) Still in Fallout4Custom.ini, find/ Create [Papyrus] section and make sure it looks like this: [Papyrus] bEnableLogging=1 bEnableTrace=1 bLoadDebugInformation=1 bEnableProfiling=1 sDefaultLogOverlay=Papyrus (Optional but Recommended) Still in Fallout4Custom.ini, navigate to the [General] section (or create one) and add the following: [General] fMinPlayerMoveToDistForLoadScreen=1000 Save Fallout4Custom.ini Right click on Fallout4Prefs.ini, select Properties, tick Read-only and click OK. Repeat for Fallout4Custom.ini. Step 3 - Download and Install the latest F4SE Download the latest F4SE here. Double-click the file you just downloaded, follow the installation wizard, remember to double-check whether it finds the correct installation directory for your FO4. Let the installation wizard install F4SE for you. Step 4 - Pick a mod manager: NMM, MO or Manual I don't recommend manual installation at all. Things will get hectic very quickly. Nexus Mod Manager is more stable but wastes a bit more HDD space, Mod Organizer causes CTDs at game startups occasionally. Download a mod manager and use its respective installation wizard to install it. Step 5 to 12 are tailored to which mod manager you use. They are very similar in principal though. Mod Organizer Step 5 - Enable Modding and Papyrus Logging (Again) Start Mod Organizer, select Portable Click on the puzzle icon on the top left of the program's interface, then INI editor You'll notice two 'tabs' above the text editor: fallout4.ini and fallout4prefs.ini Repeat the steps in Step 2 above. Apply the steps for Fallout4Custom.ini to the fallout4.ini tab Make sure you press the big save button when you finish with each tab Close the INI editor Step 6 - Install Nude Bodies Download nude mods of your choice from Nexus. For female body, the most popular is CBBE. For male body, use EVB Male Erect Cut/ Uncut . In Mod Organizer, click on the second button from top-left corner (the one with the CD icon). Browse to the one of the archive you just downloaded from Nexus for the nude female. Click OK. MO will install the mod. The nude mod you just installed will be disabled by default after installation. You need to tick the box next to its name on the left column to enable it. You might also want to install nude bodies for Ghouls, Synths and Dogs (the latter included in Four-Play Nudesuits). Repeat the above for the nude male mod. Step 7 - Install Animation Packs Download Leito's Animation Pack. This is the bare minimum animation pack that you'll need Install it just like you just did for the nude mods. Make sure that the box on the right column next to Leito...esp mod is unticked. (Optional but Recommended) Also install Crazy Animation Gun Version and Crazy's Four-Play Animations Step 8 - Install Four-Play Framework Download Four-Play Framework latest version. Install it just like you did for the other mods. Make sure that both boxes on the right and left column next to Four-Play is ticked (enabled). Step 9 - Install Four-Play Community Patch This step will eventually be eliminated in the future, but for now, you need it Download Four-Play Community Patch. Install it just like you did for the other mods. Step 10 - Install a few Four-Play Plugins of your Choice The Four-Play Framework is just that - a framework. It doesn't trigger any scenes by itself. You'll need the plugins (normally with the Four-Play prefixes) to set up the context for those sex scenes. If you just want the ability to trigger sex scenes at will, select duration or start orgies, download and install Mindless Sex. For triggering sex scenes with a hotkey, use Four Play Sex Em Up. Depending on your kinks, you might also want to download Four-Play Prostitution, Violate, Vanilla Fudge, Kidnapped, Autonomy, or Family Planning. Read each plugin's description to determine whether you like them or not. Or install all of them. Install them just like you did for the other mods. Step 11 - Optional If you like some lesbian strap-on action, download and install Vioxsis's strap-ons like any other mod. To have customizations for my FP plugins + more functionality, download and install the Control Panel like any other mod. For more dynamic bodies, use Diverse Bodies to have each woman having a unique body shape. Use EITHER Four-Play Nudesuits OR Dongs of Fallout (don't use both) to allow males to change their erection state during sex. Step 12 - Launch the Game via F4SE Still in Mod Organizer, you'll see a big Run button with an orange triangle. DON'T click on it just yet. Immediately to the left of that Run button, you'll see a dropdown button. Click on it. Select F4SE. Now, you can click Run to start the game via F4SE. You always have to start the game via F4SE for Four-Play to work properly. Nexus Mod Manager Step 5 - Run Nexus Mod Manager as Administrator The installation wizard should have placed a shortcut to start NMM on your desktop. However, simply double-clicking on this can sometimes lead to issues. Instead, right click on the icon, and click Run as administrator. Click Yes when prompted. Nexus Mod Manager should now initialize. If asked about making plugins.txt non-read-only, click Yes. You should now be in NMM's main interface with a huge selection of different mod categories. These are virtually useless for adult modding. So, click on the final button on the left column (the green one with two arrows pointing away from each other) to toggle a more user-friendly interface. Step 6- Install Nude Bodies Download nude mods of your choice from Nexus. For female body, the most popular is CBBE. For male body, use EVB Male Erect Cut/ Uncut . In NMM, click on the first button on the left column (big green plus sign). Browse to the one of the archive you just downloaded from Nexus for the nude female. Click OK. You'll see the name of the mod appear, but greyed out. Right click on the greyed-out text and select "Install and Activate". You might also want to install nude bodies for Ghouls, Synths and Dogs (the latter included in Four-Play Nudesuits). Repeat the above for the nude male mod. Step 7 - Install Leito's Animation Pack Download Leito's Animation Pack. This is the bare minimum animation pack that you'll need Install it just like you just did for the nude mods. Switch to the 'Plugins' tab, make sure that both box next to Leito's mod is ticked (enabled). (Optional but Recommended) Also install Crazy Animation Gun Version and Crazy's Four-Play Animations Step 8 - Install Four-Play Framework Download Four-Play Framework latest version. Install it just like you did for the other mods. Switch to the 'Plugins' tab, make sure that both box next to four_play.esp is ticked (enabled). For more dynamic bodies, use Diverse Bodies to have each woman having a unique body shape. Use EITHER Four-Play Nudesuits OR Dongs of Fallout (don't use both) to allow males to change their erection state during sex. Step 12 - Launch the Game via F4SE In the top-left corner of your screen, you'll see a big "Launch Fallout4" button. DON'T click on it just yet. Instead, click on the little downward triangle next to it. Select Launch F4SE. Now you can press the button to start the game via F4SE. You always have to start the game via F4SE for Four-Play to work properly. The final two steps are universal for MO and NMM. Step 13 - Load a Clean Save, Initialize Four-Play Framework and Leito's Animation Pack Load any save without Four-Play installed on before. All the better if it's an unmodded save (without the [M]). While in game, wait a few seconds. You should now get a popup asking which animation packs to load, select the appropriate option depending on which animation packs you have installed (I recommend installing all). On the top left corner of your screen, you should see the notification ""Vinfamy: Registered Leito's animations and intialized Four-Play with Supermutant support.". Followed by a bunch of "Vinfamy: Thanks for installing xyz" if you use my plugins. These indicate that both Four-Play and Leito's animation pack has been installed correctly. If they don't show up or if you get "Four-Play Framework has not been installed correctly. Animations won't start.", something went wrong and please double-check that you haven't missed any of the steps above. Step 14 - Enjoy! All your Four-Play plugins should now work as described. Leito's animations should now play, with sounds. Actors involved in sex scenes should strip and redress (redressing may fail sometimes for leveled actors - known issue) correctly. Read the plugins' respective download pages to know how each plug-in works. In attachments are what the two tabs of NMM look like in my very light set-up. Don't worry too much if your set-up doesn't match: load order of the Four-Play mods don't really matter and you don't have to install all the plugins or the control panel. 80

Dideldidumm Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 The final three steps are universal for MO and NMM. Step 13 - Load a Clean Save, Initialize Four-Play Framework and Leito's Animation Pack Load any save without the [M] prefix. While in game, wait a few seconds. On the top left corner of your screen, you should see the notifications "Registering Leito's animations ...." followed by "Four-Play: Sex Slots Set". These indicate that both Four-Play and Leito's animation pack has been installed correctly. If they don't show up (although it's possible that you simply miss them as each notification only appears for 2 seconds), something went wrong and please double-check that you haven't missed any of the steps above. and here i have a Problem. I have modded my game right from the start. How do i get a Save without the [M] prefix. Deactivate all Mods save and retry Four Play? (i had the 0.2 version of it already) 1

Deactivate all Mods save and retry Four Play? (i had the 0.2 version of it already) That should work. Is it 100% necessary to have a clean save to start? I'm starting a new game, but would like to get the rest of my core mods working together nicely before I implement four-play

laughingman2060 Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Thx very much for all your work. With this guide, all went perfectly.
slotter Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Thanks for this guide, it helped me to find last bugs in my setup. And of course thx for first bunch of four-play mods, trying them now.
zxczxzc Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 I've gotten all of the mods to activate correctly after some trial and error (the problem ended up being f4se), but for some reason none of the npc actors are stripping correctly. Does anyone have any insight as to why this may be happening? Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance.
ee28 Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 So I start up the game and everything seems to be working. I see Registering Leito's Animations. But after that, instead of getting Four Play Slots set, I get four-play: setting slots and I don't see anything else. I went to the test room to see if animations work and they don't. What's preventing Four Play from being installed? I already checked F4SE, and I'm using NMM, and the plugins are all checked.

If the actors strip but no animation : Do you actually have Leito's animation pack, not just the compatibility. Also remove or disable Crazy's animation pack If actors don't strip and no animation: Double-check / do it again anyway just in case two Papyrus logging part and the F4SE step (both in red) @zxczxzc: That still sounds like F4SE issues I'm afraid. Try to Papyrus logging fix first( in red in the guide). If that doesn't work, reinstall F4SE as instructed.

I saw another thread up in which you replied to someone saying that you should disable the esps then make another save and renable them. I tried this and went back to the coc 4test with my new save file. Now my characters actually strip and start the animation. Although it only works when I play a random animation, but I think it's because I chose more aggressive options in the compatibility patch. Although now I'm looking for a way for my character to not strip while the animation is playing. Can't do it with the Pip Boy as it'll just show her wrist and then she'll be standing up while the male is still doing their animation.
zxczxzc Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Thank you! The fix you suggested worked perfectly. I could have sworn I made those changes when installing the Leito's pack but I must not have remarked the files as read only. Everything is working perfectly now!
Kain82 Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 This is a great step by step guide. It has helped me a lot. Now both the player and npc strip. Thank you for your hard work.
MissGamerin Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Thanks for this helpful guide. Now, it works .
VonHelton Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 I didn't have this one, either! [Launcher] bEnableFileSelection=1 Retesting.........
Meowlicious Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 I'm having issues getting 4P to work, even though I've followed the guide step by step. Perhaps it's an issue with the plethora of mods I have installed interfering with it but I created a new game specifically to test those. I have other things popping up, saying they're set up and stuff, just not 4P's one. I'm also curious -- you say both boxes should be checked for both Leito's and your plugin but I only have one box to check for each; HERE. Regardless of this, the other plugins I have for 4P work as intended, if not for the animations not showing up ( I take it this is because 4P is not installed correctly ). I've edited both .ini files as necessary and my F4SE is the correct version so I'm a little bit at a loss here. Also tried reinstalling all the necessary things and 4P itself. However, I'd much rather not get rid of any of the mods I've already installed as it is a hassle to reinstall everything afterwards, lmao.
sindyone124 Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 I am having a problem getting this to work. I can start fallout 4 without the data folder being pasted in from F4SE, but if I included the folder, Fallout 4 crashes at menu.

I can start fallout 4 without the data folder being pasted in from F4SE, but if I included the folder, Fallout 4 crashes at menu. Are you running F4SE_launcher.exe instead of the Fallout 4 one? Do you have any mods installed? If you do, I recommend trying to run f4se without any mods first and see if it still crashes.
Cerberus333 Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 im in the same boat as this guy have done and redone the entire install instructions (which is amazing thank you so much) but trying to launch through f4se i just keep getting crashes to desktop, even going back to uninstalling plugins, and main files and redoing it all over i do have no saves that are non modded but i cant manage to get into the game to unload mods and make a clean save is there a location for the logs to see whats causing the crashes?
martinozan Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 No matter what i do, i cant get it to work :/ I do not understand what i am doing wrong.
whatallahmeant Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 Hey guys! What's funny is I was having the same problem with the crashes back to desktop with BOTH the original launcher and F4SEexe as well. And, the only way I found the solution to my problem was that I had to completely restart my laptop and run F4SE pretty much right after my laptop booted. Once I close the game again? I couldn't open it again. It would crash right to desktop. Unless, I restarted my laptop again. It gets tedious after awhile honestly but I'm a newbie so if anyone is aware of this problem would appreciate the help. Other than that? the mods are working great! Awesome job guys!
