Homilion Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Just an idea. But wouldn't a prerequisite by killing the first dragon be nice in order to trigger this quest. Since in this story you are already known as Dragonborn. Some people may not go the dragon slaying route right away. So being called that title until finding out by the Whiterun guards/Jarl Is a bit weird no? I don't think it is a big chore to tick off, As I said though just a suggestion. It should at least wait until you are Thane of Whiterun so it makes sense that the housecarl calls for you. It shouldn't matter how you got the title. Not that it really matters but would help a bit with immersion.
tribby Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 i have been enjoying your mod eventhough its short at the moment but i was wondering what the quest id is so i may enter it for when the other branch comes out.

Athstai Posted March 1, 2013 Author Posted March 1, 2013 While the quest expects you to be a Thane and having killed the dragon in Whiterun, making it a requirement for the quest start does not seem to be a good idea. I want the mod to be playable for everyone who just started a new character (maybe even just installed Skyrim) without forcing them to invest 10 hours just to be allowed to start the quest. It would also lead to countless questions / complains about the mod not working. So yes technically it should be required, but in the end not doing so works out better. As for questions about the ending: That is SO far in the future, that there is really not much point specualting about it right now It also depends quite a lot on how much time I have to work on future chapters and what new mods / animations are available at this time.
chrono20x Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Love the mod but at the inn I drank the drink and after I get a face full nothin happens

kermit24 Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Just finished chapter 1 and to be honest, this is one of the best Skyrim mods i played so far! Really awesome, i can't wait for chapter 2 Keep up the good work!
antikas Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Literally the best quest mod I've played for Skyrim, AND damn hot too! I love it! Bravo. Can't wait for the next part.
BSnake Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Hi there, I've come back recently to check this thread and I was pretty excited that my favorite adult story mod's first chapter was released. However, I've been having one hell of a time getting v0.21 to work for a few days now. My problems are exactly the same as the following users: Looks interesting but for some reason the conversation options don't seem to work - clicking a response does nothing. I used the console to progress past the conversation with Irileth, bypassed the conversation with Erach by pickpocketing the note, pickpocketed the inn keepers key but now can't free Daniy because the option to [remove chains] (paraphrasing here) again does nothing.I've tried reloading and moving the esp load order around but to no avail. Any thoughts - I've never seen this behaviour, or lack thereof, before. This is the exact same thing happening to me, I've even tried moving it way up in the load order but no help. (using xbox controller here) If I exit the convo with Irileth by pressing B, then start the convo again she gives me an option "about those missing women", which I can select that I've changed my mind and will look, but then the conversation refuses to exit until I press B again, and I'm given no further information about where to go.I did try going to Elgrim, but he has no convo options for me, and at the Inn I pick pocketed the key and no one attacked me and even the guard at the cage just looked at me. I got no special option when I opened the cage either, so I'm assuming all their behavior is dependent on previous events that aren't being triggered. I've checked this thread and see that these problems were not addressed. The first thing I did to solve these dialogue issues is check for incompatibilities. I disabled every single mod I have in Wryebash except for ASX Spells v1.6 and dip.esp. This happened to enable the courier's subtitles. Usually, they don't appear at all and I would have to press Esc - rarely would subtitles appear and then close the dialogue normally. However, Irileth's dialogue options still hang, her subtitles haven't appeared once, and the quest cannot be progressed. A few days ago, I tried using the console to progress the quest stage up to the inn, but the bartender's dialogue options also unsurprisingly hang. I'm running the latest Skyrim version. I've tried unpacking the scripts and the SEQ file to their respective folders, but they didn't help. Is there a known reason why these dialogue issues are appearing? Thanks for your time, Athsai. I can't remember if I ran into problems with v0.12 of this mod, but I did play the prologue to the end. I really can't wait to play the first chapter.
Athstai Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 The dialogue bug which caused lines to not appear has been fixed with the SEQ file. There are basically only a couple reasons I can think of for your problem: You don't actually use the latest Skyrim version, you have old scripts of the mod in your script folder (delete it) or you don't use a clean save (try making a new character). Well or something else messed up your Skyrim installation.
Lusty Housecarl Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 That was awsome, really looking forward to future chapters. Keep up the good work!
grumbler Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Athstai, thanks for the new chapter. It's really good. A couple of notes, however: (1) you should probably call this Chapter 1A, because it's not really even a complete "chapter" like the prologue was. That's fine, but the labeling led me to expect more than was in this update; and (2) I ran this mod from the beginning but still had to use the setstage command to get chapter 1 to start. I have used the mod before in my existing game, though, so I'm just noting this in case you are keeping track of issues. I'd do a voice for you if I had access to a mike that wasn't so prone to including background noise. As an aside, the prologue victim (can't remember her name) has never left the inn in any of play-through of any version of this. She opens the chest next to the cell, gets dressed, and then stands there forever. Not a biggie, as the mod works fine without her going home (and without what I understand is a final scene there at the farm, which I've never seen). Just included for completeness. Thanks again for a great mod.
Keldorn Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Damn that was an excellent mod, can't wait to see the other chapters.
Athstai Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 cant wait to see this mod fully voiced Indeed. However untill I manage to find enough volunteer voice actors to fill all (/most) completed roles I have put the work on this mod on hold for the time being.

Is the voice list in that post still up to date? <cracks knuckles>

However untill I manage to find enough volunteer voice actors to fill all (/most) completed roles I have put the work on this mod on hold for the time being. NOOOOOOOO. Unvoiced who cares! This mod must go on!

However untill I manage to find enough volunteer voice actors to fill all (/most) completed roles I have put the work on this mod on hold for the time being. i can wait just just please dont abandon this work i love this story driven questmod
Athstai Posted March 10, 2013 Author Posted March 10, 2013 Unvoiced who cares! I do This mod must go on! It will, but the when is pretty much up to all the players of the mod.
NicoleDragoness Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 I should agree with the "unvoiced who cares?" statement, BTW. Mainly because I'm not of english language and I can follow the dialogues ONLY if I've subtitles enabled. Secondly, I think it's much more better to have the full story completed as soon as possible because this is: Excellent, Well Done, Intriguing, Stable, BugFree, Exciting and, and, and ... The full voiced version could always been made after, as a gift, as an option, as whatevere you want. Keep a GREAT work and Thank You!
OlBenny Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 I just hope this mod doesn't die. It may take a long, long time to find those volunteers. It would be sad to see this mod abandoned because of which, Athstai, since this really is an awesome quest-mod that you've created. Please, please, please do not discontinue development on account of waiting for voice acting volunteers. Though personally I will respect any decision you make, the continual awesomeness and survivability of this mod ultimately is interdependent upon you, Athstai, not us mod users. Cheers, and good luck!
Hideyoshi Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 It would just seem that everyone's afraid to do voices because if you then play through the mod yourself... you'll be hearing yourself, and in some cases you'll be listening to yourself have sex with your Skyrim character. I however am a narcasistic sick bastard... Athstai! Send me Tursam's lines... I'll knock this out for yah.
formanfred Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I agree with previous posts, its a very well writen mod that is excellent,as it is,and like others,i enjoyed reading what was being said as i played it,please dont abandon it
