Hey so i was wondering is the scence for the quest Woman's best friend when you sleep with dogmeat in the basement place is it suppost to be a text only thing? or is something wrong with my install.

There should be an animation as well.  Are you able to have sex with him or other dogs via the aaf menu?, if so its not your install.  Personally I found there was sometimes a big delay between the text box and the animations starting with some quests,  I have a bunch of script heavy mods so i assumed it was because of that but maybe it's just the mod.

I think the tl;dr is the scripts for this mod need to be rebuilt against a newer version of AAF.

Yeah i can have sex with dog meat and other creatues in general with aaf menu i think i agree with the person above me i think this mod might need some keywords or something changed for the new version of aaf but i am not sure since i am not a programmer all i know is it seems this mod is having issues for me at least running creature animations i will have to test the captured by deathclaw thingy to see if it is also glitched.

Using present tense for this mod is contentious since, if I ever get back to it, I'll probably build the thing back up from the ground rather than delve into a mod that has a lot of broken parts and plot threads that went nowhere. That said, I haven't been actively working on this for years now, going back will take a sudden surge in interest on my part that I don't see happening all that soon. I will not, however, give this up for dead since it is sort of my baby. It just takes me needing the motivation to delve back into FO4 modding.

Yeah, the scripts are old and outdated. IIRC I reworked a FourPlay script I had lying around because it worked at the time. If anybody with scripting knowledge can make a workeable template script (or point me to one) I could put out an update.

That is understandable i am still trying to get the motivation my self to try to learn how to script is F4SE or even NVSE but i don't know how and i can't find a guide on the basic of the F4SE coding or the NVSE coding all i can fined is creation kit stuff. so yeah that annoys me.

tried that it didnt work. the quest at the end bugs out really bad. i get stuck just staring at chick and when told to go talk to the other captive it sits in convo and wont end. i tried to leave it but then cant talk to her. i have saved reloaded a number of times and i dont know what to do. i cant get my stuff back

Quick question, Is this actually being fixed? as of last try it still didnt work right, ending most of the sex manually will not allow the quest stage to update, this was my  3rd try with this mod. If its not gonna be worked on it really should come off the [AAF] Up-To-Date Adult oriented setup guide (16/Apr/2021), I wouldnt have even bother  installing again if it wasnt in that list.

I honestly think just recompiling the scripts against the latest public release of AAF will probably solve the unending animations problem. The last BB release happened when the public AAF release at the time temporarily used different parameters for the stopScene function, so using that build of BB with latest AAF, stopScene calls are broken. If that's really what's going on, the parameter list would be dynamically corrected by just recompiling with the CK against newer AAF script sources.

Well that sounds fine but, i dont want to have fix someone elses mod. I do enjoy the mods from loverslab but im not a mod maker and i dont really have the time or the drive to fix someone elses mod. which is why asked if its actually being worked on cause from what i have read it this topic it seems the modder isnt going to actually fix it, and if thats the case fine i wont bother with this again, was hoping to find out for sure. But thanks for your response. p.s. also if not it should be remove from install guide list.

Yes, I get that. My response was half to you to say that I think it's a temporary bug related to a brief non-backward-compatible behavior change in AAF which was fairly quickly reverted, and half as a suggestion to the mod author on what might be a rather quick solution to the problem.

 

That said, I'm no longer as sure the stopScene change is the cause... I just opened up the RAR to take a look at the script sources, and noticed that the modification times on the compiled PEX files are all from 2019 and earlier, far too long ago to be able to attribute this problem to a short-lived AAF script change late last year. I had incorrectly assumed all the scripts were being recompiled at each release of BB, which doesn't seem to be the case at all.

 

And for what it's worth, I agree that this probably shouldn't be included on the recommendations list for the AAF install guide. It's really a very fun mod with some great scenarios and storytelling, but yes I wasn't able to get through most of it without manually calling setstage in the console a lot, as well as finding novel workarounds to deal with conflicts with so many other place mods because of all the many locations it alters.

How long sex scenes in Enter The Lair? They seems to be unfinite for me.

And does anyting happens after  Caught In The Middle? For example, i fully sold Jamaica Plain to the mutants, but mases isn't gone and females don't even "grow:" and still vear their outfits. Should i week for more than a week?

Yeah, and at this point there's too many moving parts for me to actually get back in and fix it properly. With the new scripts for AAF, some quests being built on a wrong foundation altogether and me being out of the loop for so long it's more likely I'll rebuild this from the ground up rather than try and fix the things as-are.

Just wanted to say thanks for all your hard work, I imagine it can feel a bit overwhelming for a one person alone.

 

I really enjoyed the parts of the mod that worked, really kinky, really fun all around! :3

 

I also had some problems, like the BBM05 Family Affairs, the bloat fly scene clearly did not work properly, as the fly just died, and then the kids never approached the church, and the mom kept humping the air, etc. Maybe a spawn of a special non-hostile immortal bloat fly that does the sexing would work?

Also the scene where you follow the daughter to the dog, and she stops to want to have a chat, the prompt came when  was like 5 feet too far,and she refused to give the dialogue after that (reloading and trying again did work though). Maybe some non-immersive fail safes, that they will keep looping and offering their dialogues until quest stages finish would work?

You've mentioned it before, but I'd love to see a Boston Breeder Redux at some point. The writing in this mod is really good and there's a ton of cool worldbuilding, it's just a shame that it's all held back by quest-breaking bugs. Aside from technical issues though, it's a fantastic mod! Would love to see more from you at some point!
