I miss doing Muay Thai, but I don't miss spending over $100/month to get my ass beat 3 times a week.

That's 13 (more or less) ass beatings a month, for a mere $100.

While taking breaks from modding SSE, I've also been modding Hogwarts Legacy. It's pretty fun, even if it's not as fun as modding SSE.

I have been looking for some mods since the big update broke some of my mods.   Specifically, I am looking for avatar changes (new face gens (like this one https://www.nexusmods.com/hogwartslegacy/mods/1359)or the one that makes them stand up straight.

My point is that I looking forward to seeing your work.

Here's a couple of pics I made of my character, Iris. And don't worry. They're both SFW. I will not make images of anyone under 18. I'm not a pedo.

I've been watching some of Frankie Boyle's standup routines lately. He seems like a really funny guy. Too bad I can't understand what the hell he's saying most of the time.

Disconnection.

As a whole society in all their social streaming, interweb activity, chats, messaging, tweeting, posting, are more disconnected to real, actual connections through interactions with actual people in their everyday lives.

Missed opportunities for actual, meaningful connections with the common people in everyday scenarios.

At the Grocery store, at the gas station, bus stop, coffee shop, diner, etc. etc.

It seems to me people have a limited ability to have actual conversations with common people that come into their lives.

I looked a couple in their eyes at the grocery store the other day and saw their eyes grow wide, similar to a fight or flight instinct, when I wanted to reach an item shelved right behind where they were standing.

I made eye contact, before commenting the fact I needed to enter their space to retrieve said item, which is the polite action.

I really sometimes wish I had not lived this long as it is sad to see the information age tear apart society in such a manner.

I was at my Dr. for a scheduled visit, the waiting room was packed, used to be people were reading a magazine, chating with others...they were all staring at the phone in their hands.

Kinda like...if we don't make eye contact then we are safe, we don't have to speak or listen, Interact.

The hippies in the 60's used a Mantra...."Tune in, Turn on, Drop out".

Today it seems like "Turn on, Connect, Tune out".

Next, getting the toilet fixed.

LPT:  Never buy a toilet seat that uses carriage bolts as attachment hardware without a damned good set of vice grips.

Don't forget television. That shit can rot your mind. Or so I'm told by people in the 1950s. I don't think television gets enough shit these days. Not only is it mindless content but it is mindless content with commercials. There are still people out there who have never left the house because of what is on the tele. These people need to get out and socialize too. They won't learn a goddamn thing cooped up like that.

I figured I'd add my 2 cents.

You are correct in that viewpoint good sir.

I hear and read people saying they just can't meet the right person to compliment their lives, as well as friends to pal around with, wonder why?? (he said tongue in cheek)

There needs to be a healthy dose of skepticism here. Often times people don't learn and don't change. While I do agree that people can change for the better, people can also change for the worse. Convicts and felons need to work to regain the public's trust.

While I generally agree with that statement, there are plenty of truly innocent people who get caught up in the system, and there are also perfectly decent people who make stupid decisions.  I've worked with a few over the years, and while they were no threat to me or anyone else, they also weren't full citizens, and never again would be due to that criminal record.

What I don't agree with is the standard here in the U.S. of stripping someone of their "rights" permanently once they have been caught up in the system.  If a person has "served their debt to society" and is no longer considered a threat, they should have ALL their rights FULLY restored.  If, on the other hand, they are still considered a threat, then those who in power have NO business releasing these people back into the public in the first place.  It's one or the other, but NOT the current system of "Oh well, because you were naughty once, 50 years ago, your "rights" (really privileges) to X, Y, and Z are permanently removed... But you're still a member of society (so we'll tax the hell out of you, and maybe even demand military service from you)!"  I call bullshit.

I was talking about people not government. While that distinction can be confusing mainly because the voting public is in essence the government. Still people have the right to be picky who they trust. For example I would not trust a pedophile anywhere near a school zone and I would not let a murderer anywhere near my relatives.

I feel like there is too much talk about immigrants and people outside the US and not enough talk about fixing the problems in the country.

I keep trying to make homebrew Dungeons and Dragons classes but quit halfway through. Should I just post it on Loverslab for feedback or something?
