Taking into account that everybody in my country thinks that Mexico is the only Spanish speaking country I guess that means Spain has ceased to exist.

 

Since sarcasm doesn’t translate well in text let me say that I know that Spain still exists and people are just 🖍️🖍️.

Considering that in Spain they speak Castilian, Catalan, Galician, Asturian, Aragonese, Occitan and, of course, Basque, plus a bunch of dialects of each, they are not wrong. They are not right either for that matter.

The person you were replying to is also muddying the waters of the concept of "Spanish." They mention Castiliian (a dialect of Spanish), Catalan (a Romance language related to Spanish, French, etc.), Galacian (another Romance language), Asturian (same), Arogonese (surprise, another one), Occitan (samesies) and then Basque, which I believe is not even an Indo-European language. The post seemed to serve no purpose other than to name-drop a bunch of relatively obscure languages/dialects spoken in Spain. Didn't seem to realate to your post, whether sarcastic or sincere, that people in your country thinks Mexico is the only Spanish-speaking country.

 

I just wonder which country that is.

 

On a side note, whether or not two spoken "things" are different languages or different dialects of the same language is as much about geopolitics as it is about linguistics.

There are some popular games I just don't get. I was kind of into Pokémon as a child but nowadays I don't see the appeal of it anymore. The entire concept is fucked. You can breeze through the whole game with an overpowered Charizard while the rest of your party is benched wondering why they're here in the first place. You can't heal your Pokémon while they are doing moves because I guess multitasking doesn't exist in this universe or something. The villains have no plan in the games and I swear the designs for the Pokémon themselves are getting worse with each generation. Maybe I'm criticizing a game made for 2 year olds a little too harshly.

 

I never saw the appeal of Fallout New Vegas. Something about gun games just don't hit my adrenaline receptors like many other genres. I guess doing in game drugs was fun... for two seconds. Apparently this is supposed to be the good roleplaying game but I'm not seeing it. You could side with the Caesar Fascists but it is pretty fucking obvious everyone will get bored once their favorite Roman Emperor is gone. The NCR is pretty much House's bitches so they aren't the best choice either. The Brotherhood of Steel would be an interesting choice but sadly they were too afraid to leave their mother's basement. As for DLCs: if I had to choose between a graham cracker and a yao guai in the Honest Hearts DLC I would say the yao guai is smarter. The world of Old World Blues is run by pickled brains and Dead Money is just Dead. I guess the only choice is do we nuke them now or do we wait for them to nuke each other later? Maybe the game is too much like real life. I don't know. I really want to give New Vegas another shot but I guess it just doesn't appeal to me.

I'm right there with you. If they ever got to the point where a membership fee was required, I'd look elsewhere for mods.
