Copyright has become such a joke that I don't even care at this point. Maybe it always was a joke. A tool used by the rich and powerful to protect shit they haven't even made themselves.

 

Just ask a Youtube content creator and they'll tell you how ridiculous it is. How a video can be taken down by any shmuck by way of a simple takedown button. Now if a Youtube video gets taken down for singing twinkle twinkle little star we can hire the world's worst lawyer and still win.

 

With everything public domain we'll have to sort out the shit from the good stuff just like we always have. Yay capitalism🙄

the 3d printing evolution should of happened in the 90s, but it could not due to patents shooting everyone down, the only reason we have them now is because a patent expired. we are 20 years behind where we should be because of this.

sorry to butt in, it's cos I uploaded a track to Souncloud last night and it got blocked right away for copyright infringement, even though it's 100% original creation. They said it could sound like "The Darkness" by Corner, even though they sound nothing alike, besides being dance music, Corner's is minml and mine is like raw techno , mine's 140bpm and his is like 128 i think. The only similarity is mine is called Dark Desires, so ya, dark-darkness, that's definitely theft, pfff.

 

So anyways, saw the post about copyright stuff and thought I should take the opportunity to vent. Now I'm gonna go pirate some stuff cos I tried to play nice but they just won't let me.

Anyway. I partially agree with  @MadMansGun. I too think the stock market is an abomination. Stock holders are a bunch of economic freeloaders. Where I disagree is that I firmly believe there needs to be some regulation as capitalism doesn't exist in a vacuum. What form that takes is well... I'm just going to wait and see where all this leads.

I think It will probably end up being a society without need for money eventually (replaced by microchip implants) except with social credit stuff, so internet and basic necessities  etc will cost nothing, but if ya don't obey you don't get privileges.

Well you're welcome, i mean it's normal idk I just felt bad that it's the kid's first day at school and here we are talking about mass extinction and the like. I honestly do feel bad for the young ones that have to deal with many anxieties we didnt know in my generation, like environmental anxiety and all that.

I might just have been too busy having an eventful childhood,.

 

Well in my day we did have acid rain but it didn't even make u hallucinate , so lame, and there was unlimited water for showers and brushing teeth, we just always kept the faucet open and running, non stop, recycling was throwing stuff in a fire or getting your siblings hand me downs, cigarette butts and empty bottles went in the same place, wherever they landed, cars were the size of aircraft carriers, except for my mom's rabbit, which was a car, with no heating and floors that you could see the asphalt through.

 

Nah I'm kidding, sort of, it was the 80's after all, but I remember there was green peace and save the whales campaigns and the oil spills, and the ozone later on .  I always admired them, I wanted to be a marine biologist when I was a kid and save the flora and fauna.

 

But the point I was making is that today's youth are significantly more anxious and impacted by the state the environment is in, as it's even worse than... 5 yrs ago when I was a kid .

And it's like a vicious cycle since they, we , consume more goods today then before.

 

So listen up kids, no point doing your homework or even going to school, the worlds end is near!

Reminds me. Is Greta Thunberg still doing damage control? I find it darkly humorous that a little girl with Asperger's is doing something most adults are too lazy to do. Things like saving themselves and others from choking on the toxic fumes of others.

Ya she's admirable imo, I see a lot of criticism online directed at her, not sure why, I guess cos she uses jets to travel and not a kayak with wooden oars?!

 

I think it's not always about being lazy or resisting change, some ppl have lots of issues, for example years of incarceration, life long drug binges,  mental probs/emotional instability  disorder and fear of the outside world.

It probably helps that she was diagnosed young and so had a chance to improve her condition,  and being from Scandinavia too, their societies are more advanced in many regards.

 

I wish I could do more but I try the best I can, which isn't anything extraordinary but I don't litter, i put everything in my purse, its messy often, and  when I went to the beach this summer (first time at the beach in 20yrs!) I picked up any plastic bags or garbage I saw, without needing to take videos for social media , just bc it pisses me off seeing garbage at the beach, sea life can choke on plastic.

 

Other than that I don't drive a car, eat meat, I feed stray cats and adopted some, I saved a pigeon 2 or 3 yrs ago that had string foot , both feet, it was wow she trusted me to pick her up and bring her inside and help her and after she stayed awhile and ate relaxed.  And she's a regular visitor now, f the neighbours, I won't stop feeding them.

 

I think the biggest problem is big corporations, they use insane amounts of resources such as water, they have the means to change things yet they still distribute products that come in single use non recyclable plastic , sometimes even multiple layers of wrapping, wtf , like they should use hemp for packaging and quit making products that can't be recycled (at least not here, Japan makes des piste d'atterissage, forgot how to say en english,)

 

I hate buying stuff and then feeling guilty bc you're not supposed to recycle that particular packaging, I just put everything that's not garbage or compost in,  they have the means they can deal with it, and i'm not gonna waste too much water rinsing the stuff either, again they have the money and the means to figure it out and recycle water while they're at it, plus they receive subventions.

Well I think it helps to preserve forests as there is lot's of deforestation due to meat, especially beef. I just feel better knowing that I'm not encouraging the supply and demand you mentioned, I don't like to think of them suffering, especially when taquitos or pupusas are so yummy with refried beans, aguacate, berro (watercress) and queso. It's just a personal choice that may help a bit and makes me feel better.

 

I really wish I could have some more fats, I'd love to gain like 15-20lbs , people just don't like underfed scrawny girls like me ii wanna be thiccc, with 3 c's and no k.

 

Ya I agree, smart people are way too difficult, jeez,  they could actually be informed and make decisions based on that.

I think "smart phones" are a way to keep us dumbed down. I actually used to read encyclopedias and study maps for fun when I was young, now we have infinite knowledge avail but it's so easy we don't exercise the skull muscle enough.  Although it does have it's pros too.

 

Supply and demand, it is a problem as most ppl have become accustomed to changing electronics regularly, fast fashion etc

 

Then again idk if you've watched the ppl that dumpster dive on yt. Check Noemy B La Salvadorena  (with an accent for the n, yo no se como hacer por el accento)

if you are ever curious check her out , she bought a nice house and everything just fro,m all the stuff the big stores (grande surface) throw away because they need to make room for new inventory or there is a tiny like scratch or something, it's insane. So I think yes we are partly responsible for supply and demand, though the corporations more so imo.

That's funny, it's the total opposite, except I don't blabber, irl at least, my automated defensive system makes us look  down to the ground, oh sidewalk, how  interesting,  and even if I've slept. ate and generally been a good girl my lips always end up sticking to my teeth when I try to talk or smile,  it just dries up on the spot, ugh it's crazy how sexy I get jeez.
