  • Defeat and Submit, can have conflicts, but by adjusting their settings, will work well. If using this mod's Death Alternative feature, Defeat, Submit, and Death Alternative type mods should not be enabled

 

Hi, does anyone have a recommendation for setting Defeat, Submit and Death Alternative (I happen to have all 3 installed along with a lot of other mods and don't wanna miss any of them^^)?

I got stuck on the 2nd quest in Nocturnals Temple constantly getting suffocated -> die -> Nocturnal revives me -> loop to suffocate.

My best guess atm is that it was probably DA interfering.

 

I have to start a new game anyway (some creatures don't wanna attack me anymore on my saves [Draugr/Skeletons] oO) so I was hoping I could get a recommendation for the settings before I get stuck again and be frustrated^^

PS: Awesome mod, I love the receive the new shout animation :D !!!

 

Turn off this mod's Death Alternative (Nocturnal Death Rescue Chance set to 0 on Events tab) if using another death alternative. That said, if you get caught in the "light" in Nocturnal's place this would happen anyhow with no other mod, but then you can press and hold space to skip forward and try to run to safety.

 

I don't have enough experience with that combo of mods to make any specific recommendations.

Can you make a better pumpkin jack helmet for the Tales and Tallows part, because completely obscuring the face makes it hard to read...if the helmet could be transparent or something it would help...

 

The Pumpkin Gag asset is from Pumpkin Spice. I don't have the modelling skills to change it.

Virgin Maiden Retrieval Quest
After you pulled that stunt and freed Cassia, Nocturnal needs more maidens to sacrifice. Once you receive your first Asphyxiation Potion, Nocturnal requires you to retrieve maidens whom are tied up inside their captor's chest. You will need the potion to subdue her when you free her from the chest.
 
This repeats using random locations... I think there's 100+ possible locations. I promise you this will take to places you've never been before!

Updated the change log a bit for this.

 

When you upgrade, if you've already received your first Asphyxiation Potion, Maiden Retrieval will start within a few game hours (could be longer if busy, for example riding a horse is busy). The start involves Nocturnal appearing and talking to you.

i tryed this mod a long time ago in its early stages... i would have never guessed how much it would evolve

 

and now i tested it again...

 

and to my suprise:

 

ITS AWESOME, LOVE IT, AMAZING

 

lol i love the dance animations, after all the scary torture events its brightens up the mood and takes out some of the seriousness

i like every part of your mod!

 

and best of all: it works =D

uff thats hard to say, i am sure i didnt even saw all of the mod events

so much to play around, atm i just test how it works with other DDi mods

till now your mod survived everything i throw at it, but my tests are slow because i "pretend" a playthrouh and wait how the mods react  and trigger unique events. so i get suprises a lot, but your mod is a suprise on its owen for me (still laughing at the dance events :D)

as soon i get used to the mod i will think about something, till than i am just breathless, literally >D

Alright, I'm back to shout like a virgin. Last time I had issues with auto-save taking too long and other problems (that I have now fixed). I have removed death alternative, as it doesn't seem to add much and nobody wants to support that mod. Anyhow, I have a small question concerning to main aspect of SLaV, mainly about SLaV's death alternative and Defeat. Is it possible to have both working together or are they mutually exclusive? Because without the rape outcome of defeat, I wonder how my character can lose her virgin status...

I don't know specific settings to use in Defeat but lots of posts here have included mention of using it successfully. If you use Defeat's death alt, then you must turn off this mod's death alt.

 

With no other mods in play, this mod alone can lose your virginity in many ways:

  • Order of the Lily encounter (all about them deflowering). They can remove Virgin Chasity even if you can't
  • visit an impassioned waterfall
  • selecting the "love" option when having encounters with Priestesses, Virgin Ghosts, and Cassia

There may be a way to reconcile defeat and SLaV though. It is possible to register for event triggered by Defeat, Devious Captures being a perfect example. Captures triggers only after a rob or assault event to add devices on the player. SLaV could do the same to trigger its own DA afterward. Or maybe a slightly modified nocturnal DA. This way, nocturnal will still have a chance to show up and support the player even though Defeat is being used.

Afaik Death Alternative is still supported, it got several updates during the last months. And while Defeat doesn't need it anymore in theory, i'm still using it because imho it handles defeatment a bit better. I've disabled absolutly everything else than Defeat in DA, though. That was the only way i've found to avoid other problems with DA + Defeat.

 

Beside that, if you just want to lose virginity unvolontarily there are a lot of other mods like random rape, Scent of Sex, cursed loot has a random rape option (and another combat rape option), Eager NPCs,...

Yup if you keep a chastity device on and say no to the Order of the Lily guys you can't lose it.

Probably is a way but I don't see a reason for it. If Defeat has saved you from death it does not make sense for Nocturnal to come and do the same, and there's much to go wrong in an integration, so not worth having Nocturnal come and do something different.

But for the sake of the argument, let me try to convince you that Nocturnal could want to show up after a Defeat event.

 

Defeat, like other DA mods, is meant to provide a smooth transition between the player being defeated by something and the consequences. In the vanilla game, the consequence is death then a loading screen to the last saved state. That is annoying and requires from the player to redo several actions, which induce a sense of wasted time. The consequences of Defeat make more sense: the player character would get robbed by a bandit, maybe abused too, then left for dead in the wild. After which the player can continue playing from a different state. Now, why would nocturnal step in to keep the player from death but not when the player is laying naked and wounded in the middle of nowhere? The least she could do is give the player a bit of healing and some devices to keep warm, through pain, because pain is good.

Think of it as a fail safe, or as a different and simple approach to DA that some might prefer.

 

What you are suggesting is not a bad idea, but this type of integration is complicated and can easily create problems. I'd have tested with defeat, but have had little success with getting it to work cleanly for me. Does not work well as a stable test environment for me.

 

I'm sure there's many events from other mods, such as Cursed Loot, that Nocturnal could come to the party for, but that does not mean I'm going to do it. :)

I'm having trouble getting the bodyslide portion of this mod working. I read the instructions in the faq and installed both the bodyslide files for slav and heretical resources. Heretical resources worked fine and i was able to select it's group in bodyslide and batch build, but no matter what I do for slav I can't seem to get it to show up in the group filter.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

  1. You don't need anything from HR for this mod (just in case you are thinking you do)
  2. What version of bodyslide are you using? (requires Bodyslide v3.7+)
  3. Are you using Mod Organizer? If so you may need to do as in the FAQ (section about MO)

  • to batch build you can use the "outfit filter" box instead. Clear any group and put Virgin for the filter. Maybe that will work
  • if the group does not show up or the filter does not work, I think this can be because your preset cannot be supported. Check to see if selecting a different preset works. If yes then while this may not help you at least you know it's something to do with your preset
  • try upgrading bodyslide. 3.7.5 is pretty old now
  • Try uninstall/reinstall of the bodyslide package
  • if your skyrim is installed in c:\program files, its a know thing that security permissions can block mod managers. To be sure it's not that you can un-install the bodyslide package, restart the computer, then re-install

If I search virgin in the filter box then go to batch build the only contents are virgin harness and virgin nipple clamp.

 

Changing my preset did not seem to help, I'm using Unified UUNP Special.

 

I will try the rest of your suggestions when I have more time. Thank you very much for the help.

In groups there is also a category "unassigned". Check that if groups are missing, it should contain any items not in a group. Can't remember if SLav had anything in there for me, happened to cursed loot, though. 

 

After some tests my "get dressed again" problem seems gone after the update, thank you Marie. :)

There is another request i had in mind for some time: could you exclude encounters in interiors and maybe change the slider from encounters per day to encounters per week? With RND i spend a lot of time with cooking, eating, sleeping so time passes quite quickly. With all ecnounters enabled, i wouldn't do anything else than meeting them and prevent starving.

And for my sneaky archer it's very annoying if i'm in the middle of a dwemer ruin trying to get a shot and suddenly wedge triggers my emergency fire rune, attacks me until i sheath my weapon and then stands behind me, luring 7 falmers to me at once.

I don't want to fuck everything to death. ;)

I'm not aware of a feasible way I can do this. Ghosts are intended as their starting point is actually dungeons. Others for me rarely show up inside places in the wild. I think I've only seen Biggs and Wedge and its likely because they are set to jog faster.

 

For encounters slider setting, essentially, you want to be able to set it lower than once per day. Maybe a toggle that lets the scale be either per day or per week... I will give it some thought. This one very doable.

I've disabled half of the encounters for now, i guess that's the reason Biggs and Wedge occur more often to me (yes, in the wilds like dwemer ruins and bandit caves). But if i can set them less often than once a day, that might be enough... if they come again in dangerous interiors but not every time, i guess i have to accept that i'm fucked by somebody (using defeat), no matter what i tell them. ;)

For the how: didn't think about a toggle, more something like "encounters/week: 1-100", but a toggle would work too i guess.

Sorry if this was reported before, haven't read back very far, but i ran into a little hitch with Maiden Retrieval.

I know I could have asked Nocturnal for a new location but since I had no Quest marker i was curious. Not on Skyrim, not on Solstheim, a little console magic moved me aboard the Katariah, to the chest in front of the Emperor's bed. Not being an Assassin my character could never have gotten there, which made me think maybe that location could be excluded?

It's just a little weird to be sent to a non-existing location.

Other than that, good work :)

Oh, and if you're looking for another "unique" animation: there is one estrus animation that no other mod ever used, afaik. The victim sits on a wooden horse and is driven forth and back by some hands while beeing hold by more hands:

Since every mod that includes estrus animations makes it a requirement, i don't think it's possible to get permission to include it, but since you don't need the .esp activated, i don't think it's a big problem either.
