For the alternate start for the soul gem incubator, do you actually get sacrificed to the azura's star if you wait long enough?

 

No. I had considered it, but I wasn't quite sure exactly how to do that without making Death Alternative a dependency.

 

The only other possibility I can think of is making my own DA/soul gem equivalent scenario, and I can't see that turning out very well. :)

I get an interesting problem : when I try to start a new game, the screen became black (only the dragon stay), and nothing appen. I think the mod is blocked into a loop..

 

If it fades to black and doesn't fade out again, it might be a memory problem, I guess?

Could you attach your papyrus log? And just to check, have you set your skse.ini settings properly?

 

 

There's nothing in the papyrus log. No fade to black, the game simple doens't start... By trials, I find it's related to LAL itself.

Or how about a custom mod that has an Azura NPC model and have her talk to you after a few in-game weeks or something, saying you could be let out as long as you do something for her.

 

I also suggested at one point for Death alternative, to do a soul gem progression system, where if you get stuck in a soul gem over and over again, you got a longer time in the soul gem. (Infinite stacks of duration.) You could also have the mage enchant you to a piece of armor, and your camera follows them around forever.

It's certainly doable. I'll put it on my to-do list.

I seem to be getting a minor issue where I'm seeing starts that I don't have the mods for. Specifically I'm seeing skooma whore, milk cow, and the chaurus egg breeder starts. Not really a big deal, but it is kinda annoying and seemed like something I ought to report.

I seem to be getting a minor issue where I'm seeing starts that I don't have the mods for. Specifically I'm seeing skooma whore, milk cow, and the chaurus egg breeder starts. Not really a big deal, but it is kinda annoying and seemed like something I ought to report.

 

 

 

The Skooma Whore scenario doesn't actually require the Skooma Whore mod to run. One of the Chaurus starts also doesn't actually require you to have the associated mods. For those, it's more for roleplaying rather than kickstarting a mod - if you have the mod installed, you'll get something extra (for Skooma Whore, you start addicted, for Chaurus Egg Breeder you'll get various EC+ and SD+ things) but the scenarios will work just fine without them.

 

The Milk Cow start, on the other hand, is based on Sexlab Stories. So you will be getting it with Sexlab Stories installed. I'll double-check, I thought it needed Stories Devious but I've gotten mixed up with those a couple of times now. :)

This leads to people downloading the same mod they already have, despite the fact that the OP also states the last update date and time. This isn't necessarily a problem for me, but it does increase, however slightly, the amount of bandwidth used by the site. So with the delay, I'll sometimes forget to change the OP and not just the mod.

 

Do you have a suggestion as to how I could better present the OP? I've heard lots of conflicting things about font sizes and colors and so on, still looking for more feedback. :)

The absence of saying it doesn't require those mods in the big spoilered section doesn't work out when the section about soft requirements for the mod as a whole doesn't state that the starts I've pointed out don't absolutely require those mods to work. So something along the lines of "this start does not require mod xxx to be visible and start, however having said mod is recommended for the intended experience."

I tried to make some more room in my load order by merging all my "Alternate Start" plugins using "Merge Plugins" ( nexusmods com skyrim mods 69905 ).

I'm really not surprised the Moldering Ruins are having problems. I really fucked that up.

When trying to fix it, just by removing the offending records entirely and starting from scratch for the Beeing Female (expectant mother) start, I fucked it up even worse. I honestly don't know how to fix it at this point without redoing the entire mod from scratch. I'm actually a little surprised that the moldering ruins work as well as they do. :(

 

You can begin posting links at 10 posts, I think? Maybe 50? Not sure... just post a bunch on the Big Board of Fun and you'll get there. :)

Basically make the same one as the soul gem alternate start from DA, but you can't actually get out unless you survive a certain amount of ghosts inside the star? Or how about a custom mod that has an Azura NPC model and have her talk to you after a few in-game weeks or something, saying you could be let out as long as you do something for her.

 

 

It's certainly doable. I'll put it on my to-do list.

 

 

 

 

You could also have the mage enchant you to a piece of armor, and your camera follows them around forever.

 

Uh... we have very different ideas of what constitutes "fun." ;)

 

 

Can you please add things in the dark? So i can start just in slavery already and skip all that investigation part and from the deeps too?

I have to agree that Iyeru's idea is ok, but would very boring if bound to a camera with nothing to do but button spam to escape. Now if you combined Playable Atronachs, a slavery mod, some soulstone and elemental specific functionality from D&D and Iyeru's idea for soulstone containment, then you could make an Atronach play-through a far more immersive experience if someone would be kind enough work on an atronach overhaul.

Hey I have a problem. All conventional starts work fine but when I choose I am character from dark tale start... and use the bed screen goes dark like it is starting but my character is still in the cell. there is no statue anymore only lockpicks. I tried several starts but especially slavery reloaded one. anyone know what is this about?

I don't know what's causing that, but it could be script instances where they're not supposed to be. Try JDough's fix HERE and see if that works?

You need to go for varying sizes of Comic Sans & Times New Roman, (in Italic & Bold), but using cyan for the text colour and yellow for the background. It would make a bold statement going forward/in the future, (depending on which term you use for stuff that might happen).

 

Thank you very much. I shall begin to commence to start considering in the future the possibility of forming a committee to look into the various long-term positive and negative aspects of starting talks about thinking about taking your suggestions under advisement.

Im sorry it took my so long to get back to this but i had a convention to go to. anyway i typed in 'help ccas_bfstage 0' to the console and got 'ccas_bfstage = 4.00'  then i typed 'sqv ccas_handler' into the console and got 'current stage : 140'  i tried to set the stage to 141 but it said that stage wasnt found and setting the handler to 140 did not fix the bug. i also tried to skip ahead to 143 but 'stage not found' again. i thankyou for all your help so far, but im still stuck, sorry..

 

 

 

Sorry, I should have been more clear.

The "ccas_bfstage" is a global variable, not a quest. Do not use the "setstage" command. If the ccas_handler quest is at 140, that's fine.

My fault - the global has the word "stage" in it, even though it's not directly referencing a quest stage.

 

Your command should be:

 

set ccas_bfstage to 143

 

Try that, and go back to the excavation site, and see if that works.

 

EDIT: Not sure where the value of 4.0 came from. That value is never actually assigned anywhere in the code.  :blink:

 

I am sorry...i could not remember for the life of me if i ever responded back to say that the command set ccas_bfstage to 143 got me the dialog and continued the quest. i still don't know why it said the value was 4.0 but at least its fixed now, at least in my game! thank you for your help and patience! ^.^ and once again i am very sorry it took me a while to reply back! keep up all the great work! ^.^
