Porting vanilla Skyrim armors isn't what I meant, sorry for the confusion, what I meant was porting Skyrim outfit mods and etc to Oblivion (Like Maid outfits, Lingerie, Sexy armors and stuff... Basically if it was made completely by a modder, doesn't use meshes/textures from vanilla Skyrim, and looks hot, I want it for Oblivion  :D )

What we should do is have a tutorial on converting Skyrim to Oblivion... because "nobody" makes glothing for Oblivion anymore, we might as wells steal theirs (evil laughter)

That way conversions would be more abundant, though, due to all the constroversy and eagerness to get rustled jimmies, it would have to remain an obscure enterprise.

This tutorial teaches how to import Skyrim nifs to Blender

Then In blender, one has to:

  1. T position A posed Skyrim models, this may be done by a number of ways which include
    • Using an Oblivion Skeleton to A position an Oblivion body, re-rig Skyrim meshes to Oblivion body, then use an Oblivion Skeleton to T position the newly rigged Skyrim meshes
    • Importing a Skyrim Skeleton and use it to T position Skyrim meshes (But that requires prior Skyrim Skeleton import settings... I made that but it's a bit trickier than normal nifs)
  2. Model and remodel Skyrim meshes to fit Oblivion's geometry
  3. Add a texturing property (Also requires setting proper Oblivion working textures, meaning at least "texture.dds" and texture_n.dds" in your Data folder. Skyrim diffuses do not always have the same name as normals like they did in Oblivion)
  4. Remove all Skyrim rigging (delete bone/vertex groups) and do a proper Oblivion rigging to an Oblivion skeleton using a body mesh. If it has already been done, repeat. The modeling process changes everything so it's mandatory to do this again
  5. Export
  6. Enjoy

I'll eventually make a better one... this requires lots of previous knowledge, but at least it's a summarized version. Sorry, not newbie proof this one...

Odd you should mention this because I have been doing some Skyrim -> Oblivion conversions (Trapped in Rubber and similar) and started about to month ago to composite the various advice along with my own findings into a document.

Ive been using Gerra6's tools for the pose conversion and Blender to weight and adjust the geometry to fit the chosen Oblivion body.

Folks, I would love to see a tutorial for this.  I have a shit ton of armors I would like to convert once I finish LC3.  I know how to use gerra6's lattices, so that won't be an issue, but weight painting is rocket science in a foreign language to me right now.

This looks to be a pretty good tutorial.......but it looks to be just for converting between Skyrim bodies:  http://www.loverslab.com/topic/39192-blender-armor-conversion-the-easy-way-without-249b-a-few-notes-on-using-blender-for-skyrim/

The thing to do is to weight paint by copying!

The Skyrim -> Oblivion conversion retains the UV mapping so all you have to do is:

Sanitize the mesh in NifSkope, change the pose by script, import to blender, scale and adjust the geometry, re-weight, re-attach the skyrim texture and export.

(Edit UVMapping not weight painting)

Greetings.

Yes the Gerra6's Pose Converter is incredible ..

I just tried with his Clothings Converter (and the Pose Converter from there , not the Blender edition ) , so it's possible to Convert something from Skyrim , but that's not so easy , i hope Gerra6 will come back soon to give us his " User's manual ...updated " ...:°)

Now dépends also of the Skyrim model ... there are a lot of " nasty" meshes in Skyrim's mods.

I just tried from a "rapped " model from another game and that one was aleady imported from a third game ... so that wasn't what i call a "clean " nif/model ... Blender is so much  powerful  than  both the Gerra6's Converter + NifSkope.

But finally NifSkope is still necesarry to achieve the convertion.

NB : i got some trouble because my version wsn't fully updated ( i probably miss one of the updates).

Cheers.

PS : @ El Alquimista : so try to use the Gerra6's Pose Converter first  and you will get a model ready for Oblivion to import in Blender.

lol well I hope to see some Skyrim -> Oblivion clothing conversions in the near future because yeah your kinda right, there isn't that much people making clothing mods for Oblivion anymore, where everytime I go to the skyrim nexus there seems to always be a new one in my face XD.

While there does seem to be more new stuff for Morrowind than Oblivion these days, it doesn't seem that there is much for Skyrim that isn't just very similar to stuff available in Oblivion for years.

I went looking for stuff that was different and apart from parts of "Trapped in Rubber" and "Devious Devices" I couldn't find that much that was truly that unique.

How may pairs of over-tight knickers or too-small bras do you need?

Is there a mod for a working mirror in Oblivion? Or at least point me in the direction of houses that have good mirror models...

Not that I'm aware of. The game doesn't support it.

VoiceGHN was released, but never translated.  Those plugins are a freaking nightmare to translate.  There literally are 15+ thousand lines (perhaps as much as twice that).  And most of it is Japanese slang, which unless you fluently speak both languages, is impossible to translate.  So you will end up having to make shit up, as well as go back and play a bit and dig all around trying to find context to make sense of.

Short answer......no one is going to translate a mod that big for a game that is on its way out.  Sorry.  It would take about 6 months for someone, working 8 hours a day and 6 days a week.  Just not going to happen.   :(

Now.......changing lines in the current translated version of VoiceSSP.......that is doable............you just need to make a note of the dialogue you want changed and then go find it.  Fair warning.........VoiceSSP takes forever to open and save in the CS..........due to the massive amount of dialogue that is in it.   ;)

Cheers,

Greg

That's a shame. I thought the guy had said he had been working on a translation and had released a bit, but I guess at this point I'll never see it even if it's true. It might just be easier for me to modify/create a new VoiceSSP with extended dialogue for different contextual situations, but I'm not familiar enough with editing/creating mod files to do so. Maybe someday, but there's no way I could even think about doing it now. Especially since, as you said, Oblivion is on its way out (despite how fun and expansive the number of mods are).  :(

Oh well. Thanks for the heads up.

ChinaAssassin needs "VipCxj_HighHeels.esp"

And many missing textures ! In the download is only the textures\apachii\hgec\chinadresshentai\ Folder, but many other apachii textures are used.

If you have apachii goddess store installed you have all textures but if not your game will Crash.

Also bad IDs. many moddrrs use aaa as ID Name and aaa1, aaa2 and aaa3 can cause conflicts with other Mods with same ID. And one ID is a number  but IDs should not start with a number.

Sort: this Mods is incomplete and can cause conflicts.

Speaking of Skyrim mods being converted to Oblivion, there's a set of Dishonored Whaler's armor, and a set of Corvo's clothes, for SKyrim that I figure would look just fine perched on the rooftops of the Imperial City, if anyone's up for a challenge...

@Dark-Hole

When visiting sites it's a good idea to have a translator for the browser you are using so that it can translate the pages for you. They might be 100% correct but it should be enough to be able to tell what they are talking about. It doesn't say much about the mod on the page but as fejeena the mod author guangxihou uses the high heel system for all of the clothing mods.

@savannah

There is a Main Quest Completed found on the nexus.

Or start a new game without the Main quest http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/2978/?  (Apr 2006)

And the "Main Quest Completed " myuhinny posted is from Dec 2006.

I have not played any of them don't know if the newest is the best.

Mods that add foods to COBL dinner/buffet plates in houses and inns?

I have tried Emma's Aleswell Cottage and its COBL addon, it does add foods but only inside the cottage.

Unless I need to merge something in Bashed Patch to do the trick...

Has anyone every converted Cicero's jester outfit to Oblivion, or otherwise made a jester's outfit?

There was one computer-breakingly high-poly one, once, uploaded by Lady Faun or someone, but that's gone...

FLY clothes collection by yuravica should contain an outfit like that. Basically a redesign of a vanilla upperclass dress + hat.

The only other similar mod I know is the Silent Jester armor (two versions: DMRA-GUTS, or the DMZ original by Darigaz. No hat)
