I have no problems with the nidia (really great work by the way), but the hands in first person view of the moonshadow elves are missing. When I install the hands-fix of the nidia, all the hands are fucked up, even the males. The last version of the moonshadow worked just fine in first person. I tried this out with only basic mods, and still the hands are missing in first person view. And in case you did not know (you probably do): The Nidia does not work well with basvanbeaus muscle changer. It seems that it is overwriting the textures for custom races too. I deaktivated it and Nidia worked just fine. Unfortunately I did not come around to try mounted combat yet. Update: I found and reinstalled an old version of the moonshadow elf ESP. Now I have hands again in first person, so I guess it will have something to do with the esp.

Just use the old .esp until then I'll take another look at Nidia again. But it's working fine for me. I haven't changed anything in the mod directories. But I'll have another look anyhow. Trykz

Like the not being able to be a vamp and such. Since I consider you a dang near authority on races, can you suggest one that is a bit more complete and built correct? Read all 20 pages of notes here just in case there was a suggestion. You have "fire in your heart" for what you do. "You are someone that can get things done. I like that." Replaced with ones I had and have a very nice Dark haired, dark eyed Nidia necro now. :-) I'll post a picture soon as I get something in game that is decent. Used the mod to start a new life and choose "surprise me". I'm a lv 1 necro waking up in Blackreach! LOL Ohshit! Edit: Well crap, race special power doesn't work for me and neither does first person. I used the download you have up as of this time and the patch you have for mounted combat. All the files appear to be in the right place.

Trykz [/quote'] Dark elves looked like garbled goo. (it had started me at the College of Winterhold in the courtyard) so the one new dark elf girl walked (slid) by and was all jacked up. Then aside from my left arm swinging at an invisible fly i was going in and out of sneak while in 3rd person and Marabelle was drinking a beer while floating like Nocturnal while talking to Ancono. Messed up stuff. I used Cherry's skeleton and replaced the default animations with the Pretty female idle and just deleted the others so it would use game defaults and aside from the above is it was at least somewhat normal. Sucks too cause I spent about 30 min on the creation screen. Edit: Found one of my problems Fores idle system "This mod is incompatible with every other mod which modifies the same behavior files 0_master.hkx, defaultmale.hkx, and defaultfemale.hkx." That was the reason for the animation screw-ups. Which was corrected by just reinstalling that. Just needed to figure out the first person issue and the special power and I think the rest would work good. Edit 2: Replaced the Mounted combat fix with the first person fix from your second post and both the first person and the special now work fine so I'm working!

Yesterday I tried out the temptress (not your race, I know, but bear with me) and somewhere along the way my character froze in a death move animation. Same thing happened today with the moonshadow elf multiple times. I swing my weapon and just in the moment I should smack that unfortunate wolfs head I freeze and can't move for a few seconds. Is it possible that it's a problem with the old races since the new update? Or what could it possibly be? Update: It happens with the new version of the moonshadow elf too, to a lesser extend but still... I will have to try it out with a vanilla nord now. Maybe something else in my mod structure is fucked up.

I'm aware. I'm going through everything now, making the appropriate changes. Bethesda really fucked things up with the 1.6 update. They broke more mods with this patch than ever before. But I should have everything ready sometime this weekend. Including the reworked Moonshadow Elves. I've already fixed their hands in FP view, and I'm looking into the issue with males today. The only race that includes male body textures is Moonshadow Elves. So I suspect that's the one that's causing the most issues. Trykz

Trykz just like to point out, for the concept of a spider woman, you could have a very basic and rather funky looking version by porting over the daedric spider thing from oblivion. the tricky part will be making the body animation rig for the player. i believe you'd have to go through a lot of work to rig the skeleton or at least make it compatible as a player controlled race. also, you'd need to re-make most of the armors so they fit. also like to point out that i'm getting a problem when i installed the demoness race. i installed it properly, i can gaurantee that, but it makes most NPCs loose their hands and feet (i have a feeling it's only the imperials, nords, bretons or all three) and some, if not all of those races have a funky texture. i uninstalled that race and it worked fine but i was looking forward to using that race >< lastly, back to the first paragraph, a reminder of oblivions spider daedra

Bethesda has STILL not fixed the custom mesh problems when it comes to body part add-ons. The Demoness enabled breaks the male meshes for EVERY race, vanilla or other wise, leaving huge gaps between the hands and forearms, AND between the feet and calves. Every other custom race leaves the male variant of those races broken, but vanilla races are fine. I'm about done with Bethesda fucking up every one of my race mods with every retarded fucking patch they release. If they ever get their shit together and stop breaking tens of thousands of mods with every friggin' patch, I "might" start releasing custom races again. But for now, I'm about as pissed off and fucking fed up as any modder can be. For now, I'm sticking with cell mods. At least the jackasses at Bethesda are a lot less likely to fuck those up. Trykz

I use custom body meshes for all my races, which was hard enough to achieve in itself. My races are completely standalone, which is why I'm fucking pissed to no end about this shit. Why they had to fuck with armor add-ons is completely beyond understanding. There's nothing in their shitty update that added ONE SINGLE fucking thing about armors or body meshes. All they had to do to add their fucking new vampire shit was add new parts like EVERYONE else does. And they wouldn't have broken shit. Trykz

Trykz Posted June 22, 2012 Author Posted June 22, 2012 Okay, after about 13 hours of fucking around with shit in the CK, I FINALLY pegged this issue down, and am in the process of fixing the problem now. So my current races should be back to 100% functionality by tomorrow night. I'll also be re-adding the Kerran Sha'rr race to the list, and possibly the 4 human Dovahteen females (Breton, Imperial, Nord, Redguard) as well over the weekend. Keep in mind that Moonshadow Elves is now completely reworked with it's own standalone body replacer. It "should" be safe to use with existing characters, but I'll be testing it with my own previous saves to be sure. Fixing Bethesda's fuckups it really starting to wear my patience thin. Trykz
