Trykz Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 Hi' date=' First off I have to say I absolutely love your mod I've got a moonshadowelf running now. But I did notice a very slight issue, I'm not sure if it has been reported or not, but the regular face morphs and the UNP compatible ones for moonshadow elves don't seem to line up. When I put in the UNP files my character's face changed, namely her face definitely seemed chubbier and the lower portion of it around her mouth basically swelled up kind of like hamster storing extra food in its mouth. I tried opening up the console and reducing the cheek and jaw width but even at minimum she still had some (all be it fairly small) bumps. [/quote'] I don't quite recall exactly which head mesh I used with the UNP version, but it's an easy fix. Just swap in the other headmesh from the CBBE set. The only headmeshes I use are Ran's, so the one I think you want is the Type-D. Which I'm certain was the default for the CBBE set. I may have placed the Roundface mesh in the UNP set by mistake during my testing, and forgot to swap it back. They're interchangeable (as are all Ran's other head meshes), so it shouldn't be an issue. Trykz
Trykz Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 Worked like a charm' date=' thanks Trykz [/quote'] No problem. Glad you're having fun with it Trykz
Trykz Posted July 3, 2012 Author Posted July 3, 2012 Post #2 updated with my next upcoming race Trykz
madderoftime Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Post #2 updated with my next upcoming race Trykz Oh very nice! Personally I've never played as an elf of any type. Never seemed to me the hairs were ever designed right for it but I'll check it out when ready.
Kraxon Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Just tested it. Every seems to work like it should, mounted combat included. Thanks for sharing.

Drasanil Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Looks absolutely awesome! I will definitely give them a try after I finish my moonshadow play through. Also thanks again for the Moonshadow elves
Vyrce Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Thank you you for your latest creation! The amount of work that you put into these is probably far more than I can imagine.
MrAnon101 Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Hey Trykz, it probably isn't due to anything in your mod (as I am the only one to mention it so far), but I am having an issue with the hands? And no, I didn't use showrace, I am in an interior due to Alternate Start. Showrace = insanity lol! I have a bucket load of appearance mods scattered throughout my Skyrim, so it might just be time for a reinstall. If you have any ideas what it might be though, that would be awesome! ... Besides that, as usual you make the best race mods around:cool:!
mayatola Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 For the hands, I usually just need to restart Skyrim. That always fixes it. As far as I know, that's all you can do. Also, thank you Trykz!

Besides that, as usual you make the best race mods around:cool:! I don't think it's on your end either. Mostly because I've seen it before in my own install. And I can tell you with the utmost certainty that it's Skyrim's shitty engine choking on the hi-res textures (as usual). Before you re-install, try this: Scroll through every other race (all the females) you have, vanilla or otherwise, and then back to the Frost Elf race. You may have to do this a couple of times, but eventually the issue should clear up and the hands should appear normally. Let me know if it doesn't work. It should, but if it doesn't then you may be right, and it might be time to start with a fresh install of the game. edit: I have that alternate start mod as well Trykz
Gudsson Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Oh i just love this Frost Elf race much thanks Trykz, but one small question what warpaint do you use ?
« Broken ‡ Mirror » Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Hey Trykz, usually, your races never give me trouble but, for the Frost Elves, I can't seem to change the hair, only the hair color. I'll get a picture up as soon as I can.
Trykz Posted July 8, 2012 Author Posted July 8, 2012 Oh i just love this Frost Elf race much thanks Trykz' date=' but one small question what warpaint do you use ? [/quote'] I use the Coverwomen lace warpaint and new lips tintmasks from the optional downloads. I also use the scar replacer from from rosette's pack for the mole. mega, do you have other race mods installed and active? If so, disable them. This shouldn't conflict with any of my races, but I can't say the same for anyone else's. Let me know if you can't get it sorted and I'll see what I can figure out. Trykz

ToJKa Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 For some reason i had her boobs stretch all over the place during animations (FNIS, ASX, See You Sleep) until i installed CHSBHC. Never had this issue with other custom races Anyway works now, and nice job with that night time freezing effect. And i made a little personal adjustment, weakness to fire (30%, easy to overcome with potions or enchantments) to balance the ice immunity and magic resistance.
Trykz Posted July 8, 2012 Author Posted July 8, 2012 That BOSS list is all wrong. Try this instead: Put ALL of my races between Beautiful Hair.esp (which it too far down) and DragonsDiversified.esp, and with the newest race at the bottom. So your load order should look like this near the top: :snip AsharaDimonizedDress.esm Active Beautiful Hair.esp Active MoonshadowElves.esp Active Nidia Race.esp Active Frost_Elves.esp Active DragonsDiversified.esp Active :snip Also, what are these, and what do they do exactly: ------------------------------------------------ sulundo.esp Alicia.esm <--- this is too far down, and should be toward the top with ALL other .esm files (as a general rule, you should load every .esm first, and then order your .esps below them) SSAPBWK.esp BBP_Sexy Elves.esp ------------------------------------------------ I don't recognize these at all. Also, any hair mods that are on .esps should be loaded right after the last .esm in your order. BOSS is a really great program, and I use it myself. But like any other software, it isn't really bulletproof. Mostly because it doesn't recognize every mod. Anyway, try that and let me know, Trykz

But like any other software, it isn't really bulletproof. Mostly because it doesn't recognize every mod. Anyway, try that and let me know, Trykz Oh the list isn't the actual list itself, that's completely different. But I'll try what you suggested. As for the other mods, starting from top: weapon, follower, spells, and clothing, which I got rid of because it was already in the BBP pack. The problem is that whenever I load BOSS, it changes my loadlist everytime. Do you know how to stop that from happening?
Trykz Posted July 8, 2012 Author Posted July 8, 2012 The problem is that whenever I load BOSS' date=' it changes my loadlist everytime. Do you know how to stop that from happening?[/quote'] Well, I let BOSS setup up my initial order, and then I adjust it through the game launcher under Data Files. BOSS works from a masterlist of recognized mods. So when it encounters mods that it doesn't know, it just places them at the bottom in no particular order. Which is when you fall back on a few general rules of thumb: 1) ALL .esm files loaded first (no matter the type) 2) ALL customization .esps (hair mod .esps, etc) after the last .esm 3) ALL race mods below customizations 4) ALL animation related mods (such as DOD, Pin-up poser, etc) after the races 5) ALL armor .esps 6) any housing mods Basically, your load order is a "layer setup" that allows them to work together with minimal or no conflict as long as those layers are stacked correctly. When a race mod is set up properly and using Race Compatibility, it gets dynamically added to any formlist that contains customizations used by the vanilla races, as long as they get loaded before the race. Essentially, BOSS is great for the basic setup. But after that, you need to build upon that basic setup so everything works as it should. Once you have everything working, don't use BOSS when you add a new mod. Simply place it in your load order according to the general rules mentioned above, and you should be fine. I would post my load order, but it contains some 220+ mods and would take up a whole forum page (my Skyrim directory is 43GB+) LOL..... But I get NO conflicts or other issues. Trykz
thermaltake Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 First off let me say the Frost Race looks great, thanks again. Also thanks for explaining the load order, this should help me and others that have issues periodically trying to figure out what loads first. Thermal
Chezza28 Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Gj Tryckz this race is great ....using the devil out of it ....still watintin on those teens though...hehe ...howz the mega mod coming ?
madderoftime Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Again very nice Trykz! A while back you mentioned you roll all of your clothing and armor into one esp or esm. Can you give me a few pointers on how you do that? I have like 40 of those alone and there are like several that are only good for 3rd person or a follower cause the first person was never done right. Was thinking of cleaning that up and condensing and thought of you as someone that could point me in the right path. Next question is extended colors needed for the frost elves? You listed no but thought I'd check.
Trykz Posted July 9, 2012 Author Posted July 9, 2012 Again very nice Trykz! I included a number of green and blue hued skintones, but I also realize that they may not be for everyone. So I kept those to a minimum, but included all of the base skintones most other races use. I don't like to pre-patch my mods for compatibility with Extended Slider Colors, because I don't want anyone restricted from using the mod because of it (it makes the mod load REALLY slow when the color palette covers a big part of the color spectrum). But if you have a good solid machine, you could certainly patch the mod to add a ton more colors For condensing armor mods, it's a LOT of manual work, but generally pretty easy. Give me a day or two, and I'll post a detailed method that works flawlessly for me. If you don't already have it, get the Creation Kit. My next race mod is on deck, and I'll be posting the WIP thread later tonight or first thing tomorrow. So likely a day or so after that I'll put a bit of time into a proper tutorial. Trykz
