Trykz Posted June 23, 2012 Author Posted June 23, 2012 Okay' date=' after about 13 hours of fucking around with shit in the CK, I FINALLY pegged this issue down, and am in the process of fixing the problem now. [...'] Fixing Bethesda's fuckups it really starting to wear my patience thin. We very much appreciate it. A big thank you to you! No worries. I don't like leaving people hanging if I can do something about it..... That said, EVERYTHING is now fixed and 100%...... AGAIN. I currently have ALL of my race mods enabled (including some WIPs you haven't seen yet), and they ALL work perfectly without any conflicts. I'm in the process of repackaging everything for upload now. My suggestion is to download and do a full re-install, as a few things have changed. Especially with Moonshadow Elves. On another note, I'm just finishing up another race mod this weekend. Assuming all goes well (it's been pretty smooth so far), I may drop it in here tomorrow night or Sunday. Look for the WIP thread within the hour Trykz
thermaltake Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Can't wait Trykz, once again thanks for all the work you put in this, and keeping them going thru the patches. We realize it can be discouraging, nothing like having your mods broken after all the work to create them, but hang in there! There are people like me who only play your races, and this game sure would suck without them, haha Thermaltake

See the first post Trykz
Firedoom Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 What impeccable timing! I just found this thread and your Demoness. Soul sucking bitches hold a special place for my heart, in hell.
Kraxon Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Everything seems to work fine now, even the mounted combat! Many thanks!

bigfella67 Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Hey great work, although I do have one small aesthetic annoyance. The nidia race seems to be missing the hip texture fix, I can use the cbbe fix available but it overrides your texture, and I like your more.

[/quote'] This is most common when using CHSBHC specific armors with CBBE v2 textures over CBBEv3 meshes. Just set your character's weight to 0 or 10 using the console, and the hip issue should go away. Unless the armor isn't weight slider compatible. Trykz
Oaklore Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 I must say Trykz, I doubt that I've ever seen anyone as diligent as yourself in keeping your mods up to date, rapidly repairing or offering solutions to every little conceivable issue or conflict, and responding to everyone's suggestions and input despite being busy with your massive WIP quest mod (not to mention just casually churning out yet another new race variation to meet someone's request as though it were as easy as making cups of coffee). Fantastic effort and work mate.

But usually after a day (and I sober up some), I realize that there are a lot of people counting on me to fix and update my stuff. And at the end of the day, that's pretty important to me. Trykz
mima Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Hmm I'm getting a problem after updated the moonshadow elves and the demoness race, the demoness is still not showing the hands in fp for me and now MSE crashes on show race menu selecting female while in doors. I have done a clear install and install it manually.

I have done a clear install and install it manually. [/quote'] Try lowering your resolution and graphics setting in the launcher before entering the game. Also try disabling whichever race you aren't using, and see if that changes anything. I'll look into the Demoness. Try to be a bit more specific please. There are three Demoness variants. Which one are you talking about? Fury, Seducer, or basic? Keep in mind that I don't support racemenu command issues. Make your choices when you create a new character and be happy with them. The showracemenu and player.setrace commands cause FAR too many issues for me to be concerned with. They're Bethesda's problem, not mine. Trykz
Trykz Posted June 25, 2012 Author Posted June 25, 2012 For those who might wonder why I don't support racemenu issues or "switchers", here's exactly the reason why: And 2 sets of wings is only one issue. The eyes almost always end up screwed up on ANY race, not just mine. Which is why when I release any new race mod, my first recommendation is to avoid race "switching", and simply start a new character. Trykz
Kraxon Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I have no problems with the moonshadow elf, no crashes whatsoever, but it seems the demoness (all three variants) have no hands in first person, even if I make new character. At first I didn't realize it, because I haven't played them very much. I have tried them out now, because of what mima wrote. I have tested mounted combat, however, with moonshadow (male and female) and with nidia. Works perfectly - well as perfectly as bethesda intended for the vanilla races. I haven't tried with the mystic elves, because I presume they only use vanilla content? Oh, seems that old moonshadow saves don't work for me, but that's not a problem I haven't played none of those very far until the update that fucked everything up. :/ Update: Oh, yes if I use showracemenu the previous hairdo get's stuck to the head, and the new one conflicts with it. Better start a new game.
Trykz Posted June 25, 2012 Author Posted June 25, 2012 Seems when I fixed the armor add-ons for the body parts, I forgot to set up the first person parts list on the raceform LOL Fixed and attached right under the Demoness main file. It's a minor .esp fix, which should have no ill effects on existing saves. Just drop it in the Data folder to overwrite the old .esp I blame the Vodka (as always) Trykz
Kraxon Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Now the hands are back. Tested mounted combat with the demoness now, works too.

Guest xpariah32 Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 So when I try to change to any of the demoness races in Character creation, the game instantly crashes to desktop. Any ideas/ help would be much appreciated. Great mod by the way.

Any ideas/ help would be much appreciated. Great mod by the way. [/quote'] If you're trying to start a new character in Helgen, it's because the game engine is choking trying to load every texture in Tamriel. To get around this, set your resolution to as low as feasibly possible (1440x900 or slightly lower generally works well for me) in the launcher options, and set detail to low, before starting the game. If you're running an ENB, turn it off. When you start the game, the selector is preset to nord male. Change it to female "before" scrolling up to the Demoness race you want to create. It may take a few seconds to load, but give it time (maybe 30 seconds at most). If it locks up or crashes, try a slightly lower resolution. If it loads, detail your character to your liking. Once created, you can readjust all of your settings to what they were before, once you get through the initial Helgen bit before the keep. I usually log out right after entering the keep, set everything back to normal, turn ENB back on, and everything runs fine from there. The Demoness is a HUGE mod. It's actually 3 individual races in one pack, each using it's own head textures and parts. And Bethesda did a piss poor job with the engine optimization. I might be able to improve this issue by building the mod into a BSA, so I may look into that. But I'm waiting to see how much damage Dawnguard does. As I presume many modders are. Veteran modders are dropping Skyrim modding left and right, because Bethesda is really going out of their way to break countless mods with every update they release for the game or Creation Kit. I have a pretty high tolerance level. But I seriously don't know how many more times I'll be able to tolerate rebuilding every one of my mods. Trykz
Kraxon Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Let's just hope the latest patch was such a pain, because it already paved the way for dawnguard. :I
Trykz Posted June 26, 2012 Author Posted June 26, 2012 Let's just hope the latest patch was such a pain' date=' because it already paved the way for dawnguard. :I [/quote'] If they have any plans to modify the existing vampire mechanics, morphs, or quest scripting, I hope they're ready for the torrent of complaints that will flood their site. And it won't just be race modders complaining. It'll be every modder who's ever made any mod for vampires and vampirism, or vampire related quest content. So far, it appears that the new vampire morphs will work same as the werewolf morph. A full body transformation, basically changing your race temporarily via script. If it's a simple script addition, then it won't be long before custom races can use it as well. I REALLY wish Bethesda would just add built-in support for custom race compatibility. Or at the very least, get rid of the race references in quest content. Like that DB quest bullshit. That's just stupid implementation. You build a moddable game. You build a moddable game in a series of moddable games for which HUNDREDS of race mods were made. You then decide to place multiple scripting options for a racial reference at the tail end of one of the most important and lengthly questlines in this new game? That's stupidity in it's purest form. Drasanil Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Hi, First off I have to say I absolutely love your mod I've got a moonshadowelf running now. But I did notice a very slight issue, I'm not sure if it has been reported or not, but the regular face morphs and the UNP compatible ones for moonshadow elves don't seem to line up. When I put in the UNP files my character's face changed, namely her face definitely seemed chubbier and the lower portion of it around her mouth basically swelled up kind of like hamster storing extra food in its mouth. I tried opening up the console and reducing the cheek and jaw width but even at minimum she still had some (all be it fairly small) bumps.
