Rebel Marauder Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 I guess what you could do if you really wanted to link it in with Vault 111 is turn one of the Cryogenic chambers into a shaft leading further underground. The shaft would lead to an opening to a tunnel which in turn leads to an undisclosed location where this quest could begin, making your way through this tunnel would lead you to be randomly attacked by left over biological molecules of the armor that didn't get collected with the rest of it, these molecules could attach to your body and through time genetically enhance you. Exiting the tunnel at the other end would result in you collapsing from the physical exhaustion of the constant attacks leaving you sort of paralyzed kind of like locked-in syndrome this could then trigger the symbiotic suit to feel the presence of a human life-form and seek you out to complete the take over/transformation. Other places it could be done are places within the Glowing Sea since that area is fairly well redundant of mods at the moment, other than that there is if I recall correctly a abandoned house which isn't shown on the map as it's more of a secret location It's fairly close to bunker hill if I'm not mistaken and it's got some rather strange things that happened inside the house, perhaps this could tie in well with the lore of this mod, Video link in spoiler don't click it if you don't want the location spoiled for you.

For 111, how about Kelloge infect you with the parasite before frozen you again? In that case, it can be tide to the Institute and further quest mod can be develope throughout the storyline that would cause the player to travel to the Glowing Sea and the parasite got further mutated there. Also the Castle can be involve since it has Mirelurks which also very similar to parasite armor.

xenic Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 1- Any updates on release and such? 2- Could always rig it like a ghost story. Player leaves Vault 111 and then when they return to it they are taken to a different version of Vault 111(the mod). This can either be set to alternate each entry or have it so you must be carrying a certn item or something. That way people can still get back to the old Vault. I mean.... if thats where one actually wanted to put it... thats one way it could be done. That sounds really do able. Since the Vaults are enclosed and somewhat modular, adding rooms probably wouldn't be hard. Another easy way would be to say that with X item, the Vault elevator takes you lower to a parasite infested Vault 111-Beta.

Like the parasite is an item on the alien and you make it an aid item which infects you once you use it, or your automatically infected when you loot the alien

I had an idea that the parasite could possibly spawn randomly on a raider (female of course) and taking it from the corpse inventory would automatically equip it on the player

I can get into the F4 Creation Kit now (and someone posted that disabling the audio makes most of the random crashes go away).

The GECK is still in beta, only available from Bethsanda and still has bugs in it.

They're scientists, first and foremost; I do like the thought of subject #130 being a prisoner that was once on their ship until lo and behold, their incompetence crashes yet ANOTHER ship onto earth (jeez, the Zetan insurance industry must be booming) allowing the tendrilled marvel to wander away. Just an idea, the aliens COULD also still be in space and just happen to abduct the player to "probe" him/her before deciding they're a suitable fit for these biological suits. In any case, hope this is still making headway, thoroughly enjoying the premise. Like many others here, awaiting its arrival with plenty of anticipation.
