Redflyingmonkey Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Something I have noticed in the Witcher there are a lot of monsters born out of humans are women... hm... bitches be crazy, am'I right guys? Folklore beasts have always been a substitution to porn for our ancients... The number of sex craving monster women in Slavic folklore is particularly impressive, plus remember most of them were filtered by Christians to look "bad". Originally, they were pretty much all hentai sluts. I wish a RPG of this scale could be made in ancient Rome or Greece with Hellenistic mythology, imagine the awesomeness of doing quests centered around Minotaurs, Labyrinths, Titans, and more importantly nymphomaniac nymphs. SO many of them, they're like Pornkemons.

Until level 5 I picked almost every single herb I could find.

If your into potions yes it's later needed to make fights also interesting. im lvl32 and 160 hours not yet finished the main story but some great plots beautiful worlds(see latest screenshot section). I did fir st all side quests explored alot seek all diagrams for armor sets. Now im on main quests again. 49% complete lvl32 160 hours.
ChancellorKremlin Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Spoiler concerning the amount of XP earned during the main quest events around LVL 22+ Was anyone else caught completely off guard by how ridiculously generous the main quests are regarding XP? I mean, doing side quests alone before tackling the main quests, I was around 4 levels higher than the recommended level for the Kaer Morhen battle. I was around LVL 26 and the battle was like, level 22 or something. I assumed because I was so levelled up I would receive very little XP. All my other remaining quests were LVl 27+. So I go and do it, and by the end of it, I had levelled up three levels, and was LVL 29. The main quests updated to like LVL 24-26 or something, and by the time I did them, I was at LVL 31. I never thought I'd complain about this, but if anything, I feel I am being given too much XP. I want to be able to reach the main quest's recommended level, but it's hard when every time I do it it gratuitously gives me 400-800 xp a pop. I don't even dare do the sidequests right now in case I get even more XP, so I feel this is significantly unbalancing the game for me right now. Anyone else notice this?
...0... Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Yeh bit strange how they handle some things in the game. Yeh bit strange how they handle main quest and XP im lvl35 because if that some gave 1000 xp for doing almost nothing. Lvl 49 crafting recipe i have no idea how to reach that lvl must be for expansions? Played 160 hours and i think its still great game but i don't see it i'm playing this 2800+ hours like skyrim with mods. Unless i get same posibillity to make female characters i can create in image i like with UNP like body. But i doub this will happen with witcher 3 it's just not that game. Also bit dissapointed in the skellige map with many ? all over the place its bull shit and crap. Armor sets are nice but not realy so special. Still enjoy it for most part worth my money and move on to next game.
Redflyingmonkey Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 2 playthroughs I think, max, I don't see myself playing the game over and over again like I did witcher 1&2, not because they're better than the 3 but the corridor system was kind of more optimized for the story telling. Like, I'd like to see all the different endings and side quests possibilities, but at the same time I'm getting kinda bored in the whole crafting/contracts thing. It's not repetitive, but for a new playthrough it kinda slows down your progression when you just want to finish things asap and skip the stuff you've already done/seen. But yeah, still a great game, the kind of stuff you feel really depressed after finishing it, and then play again after a few months because you missed the atmosphere and all.
trpd Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 I think its fine to have fun, finish the game and move on. It's a lot of quality time , easily worth the money for me. Plust max i've spent in single player game probably tops at 400h anyway. @main quest Yea it clearly throws exp at you. It was lv 23 i belive when i decided to finish and start new and by the end (just doing main story quests) i was 30lv. It's pretty clear that game is not really intended to play "past finish". I belive the "Geather allies" is where you should save at if you wish to finish the game , so you can return to "Fair game state" after.
windpl Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Haven't much time to play after release, but now I did some catching up. Just played few scenario as Cirii, ok I want to play as her badly, I love that "time slide" ability. And got my ass to novigrad, and I have only one to say.... this game is epic.
Guest Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 If anyone else loves the music of this game but pissed off that more than half the tracks are missing from the initial OST check this out. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_eztCDu33iFtgbVGHADQ6FI6mXkJpNhf these tracks are directly pulled from the game files. I found the sad to epic piano theme... all thats left is the final battle theme where you are running up the mountain.
ChancellorKremlin Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 On that note, what is the song that Octo, the castaway in Undvik sings? It's powerfully haunting and beautiful in its own right. Geralt says he's heard it before, is it a reference to something? Does anyone known more about it? Also, has anyone had this Point of Interest yellow exclamation mark show up between Troll Bridge and Crow's Perch in Velen with nothing there? I've been there repeatedly, waited, but nothing ever happens and I am unable to "activate" the quest/POI. Ideas?

Maybe because some development in story it appears there but Npc's maybe died or whatever and not coming back at that spot?
ChancellorKremlin Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 There is no statue there, no nothing. It isn't the quest with the woman who asked your to put the wooden statues back up, there is just a small swamp lake next to a road and a tree, but nothing there at all.
gregathit Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Try meditating at that spot to different times of day/night. Some creatures only show at certain times of day/night. Also try poking around with your witchers sense. Sometimes I've seen clues that way that brought the quest active. I don't remember this particular spot in my play through.
ChancellorKremlin Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 I've tried all that. What's worrying me is that nobody else seems to have a quest there, leading me to believe mine is bugged and that exclamation mark either doesn't belong there or has been misplaced from somewhere else. Seems someone else ran into it too, though no solution.

Seems someone else ran into it too, though no solution. The quest system is a bit buggy, I got the same thing happened to me on Skellige, a quest marker on a druid somewhere, except he never really starts any quest, he just walks around and says "What ?" when you talk to him. But I think what's there is a special event that you can see sometimes on the road, like bandits trying to burn a house down or a wounded merchant on the side of the path ... If you walk by without doing anything, the bandits burn the house, the merchant dies etc, which means you "failed" the quest. Maybe you did that without being aware of it, yet the quest marker stayed there.
crusher Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 there is a quest near there I believe that has a wandering **** only night time, leading to a lost lover and a cemetery . It appeared randomly on my map, until I caught up with it.
LidiaSun Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Just finished the whole story of Witcher 3 and feelings are mixed. Who ever was comparing Skyrim with Witcher probably was blind. There is no similarity, from the third person camera to anything. The game 103 hours was good even if the half were just movies (but ends there). There isn't any kind of the biggest open world game ... except if instances can be called open world. I really do not know but I found it in many things poor perhaps I prefer much better games like Oblivion, Skyrim type and compare it with them have been disapointed. I regretted so much the poor inventory system which was forcing me every time to sell relic nice swords in absence of houses chests etc. I have laughed enough times falling on the invisible wall and hearing Geralt "only the devils live here" ... but I will not go on complaining for a good game as it is my personal opinion. Finished with Ciri alive and with Triss in Kovir ( but you can't see them again after the end lol )
ChancellorKremlin Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Yeah, why have gigantic sized open world instances when you can have a 25x smaller, self contained world, right? That's definitely better. That's like living inside a closet, and preferring it to a mansion with ten rooms each ten times larger than your closet, just because they are connected to each other by corridors. "You don't get corridors inside my minuscule closet, ergo, it's better!" I never get these complaints, like "Oh I get to the edge of the map and it tells me to turn away." Yeah, every game has that, it's called the end of the world - Oblivion, Fallout 3/FNV, Skyrim, etc - all have these, they are called the edges of the map, and are usually blocked in by mountains/invisible walls. It's the exact same thing executed differently. There is no truly "open world" game unless it involved a perfect spherical world where you can go around and end back where you started. Then people would start whining you can't go up into space, so its not real "open world" because the sky's the limit, literally. And don't get me started on being able to play after the end. The one thing I agree with is that the inventory system definitely needs work. It's shoddy and totally unpractical.
...0... Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 I agree ChancellorKremlin. its more open world then Skyrim every hope to be almost no loadscreens plus velen and novigrad(huge OPEN city) is bigger then all of skyrim. How pathetic and LIFELESS are city's like whiterun or other citys compare to novigrad. Only mods save that game for me others wise i would never have played it anymore. Funny thing is because of mods i like the game even to some degree, with out is boring game full of bugs. To each his own but im someone who play both. Vanilla TW3 is far superior then Skyrim. But longlivity is bit dissapointed so my first play through 160 hours was great and again far superior then i had with skyrim first 160 hours. Hope future get some mods to improve TW3.
winny257 Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 So is there going to be a Sexlab for this game? without construction set no good mods. if CD project this not free give, it will no sexlab mods give.
