.Just look at the teleporting ninja gaiden Ciri...ridiculous.

Well ... it's not like the game-designers invented her ,,, Ciri's creator already made her "op", that's the whole point of her in the first place... ^^ I hope that's not a snarky comment?

I hope she is the main character in the next one.

A character that has control over time and space sounds cool as hell.

In TW3 it is obvious they over powered her because unlike geralt she just had spells, auto heal and her sword.

in a game focused on her they can add so many spells, similar in design to geralt's but different in their application.

There is just so much potential for her and different fun spells to be had.

The just need to fix her running animation though, that shit was bad.

Seriously?

I'm commenting on the game because I have an opinion on it.... because there is a thread about it. Like I do on other games I have opinions on. Be it good or bad.

That I don't own it doesn't matter. This isn't a thread for owners of TW3, that's what the official forums are for. This is a thread about the game, on an adult (mostly) website.

And honestly, if I had owned the game and complained I can guarantee that some jackass would echo "don't like, don't buy" like a fucking parrot.

No I mean, fuck off if you don't have the game, "seriously". Kinda stupid to see people purposely come here to argue when they don't even have the game and are only talking out of their asses. It's one thing to dislike the game if you have it, it's another to come here and tell us how much you don't want to buy it. The people arguing at least had a clue what they're talking, you guys are just hypothesizing something you have a vague image of.

If you want specific info about the game, you can ask, for anything else again just fuck off and make another thread please. You could buy the game or just rent it, or try it somewhere, and then come back to express how much you disliked what you saw, at least you'll look less stupid and have an actual opinion. Because right now you only have guesses and a dissertation about your own personal tastes, about which no one here gives a fuck about. "Seriously".

I swear, there's not a thread on this whole forum where you can speak about shit you're interested in without jackasses trying to ruin everything.

Calm down

All I did was comment on a previous comment. Simply echoing his thoughts and expressing that I sympathized. I very rarely do that. In fact I don't think I have ever done it here before. Reason being that TW3 is an RPG I would want to enjoy, but know that I would not. That is all. Only reason for my reply to you was you calling me dumboe for doing it. In an open forum, anyone can post their opinions about anything. Reason they usually don't is.... they don't care..

I did not try to ruin everything.

Oh, and btw I've tried the game. Played as Ciri (something I didn't know was possible), at a friend who knew my opinion about the game. That was kinda cool.

How about because it's less immersive?

One could argue that fantasy trees would immerse you more into a fantasy game than realistic trees you see everyday while picking up your groceries. A bit like how having two headed rabbits in a fantasy game immerses you more into the game without looking one bit realistic. And also everything that makes fantasy fantasy. Like unnatural flashy lights and saturated colors in a certain korean MMO ;)

I'm starting to sound like the worst fanboy ever trying to defend every single part of the game lol. Yet seems unavoidable when people with nothing else to do come here to purposely start arguments right ?

Imagine what would happen if I posted that the bushes in Witcher 3 are nice. :P

Anyway, you posted something about what trees (omg sry didn't want to say trees again) are best to spend skill points in, I find this game kind of difficult. I can't find that post, would you mind telling me what worked for you?

And how can you get that 500 points of extra health? Which tree (last time, I promise) is that slot in?

I've been doing a few quests, now I'm working for the Bloody Baron, helping him find his family. This game isn't really that hard once you get the hang of it but I still can't figure out how to manage money...........everything is so expensive. You have to spend all crowns you get from a quest on a 2 loaves of bread and three onions to sustain you in a fight with 5 neckers. How does that make sense........and I still don't know how to upgrade weapons, I mean adding effects to them like armor penetration. I only know how to add oils. Would anyone mind helping me out? Also, the crossbow bolts are expensive as hell.

Omg that guy dancing at 3:30 on the withcer music is so hilarious

also destroying property & killing geese on heavy metal, that guy is so hardcore

Yeah it's better to spend skills in one particular tree (fuck you bjornk) than spread them over multiple ones. Like, if you wanna play a mage, spend everything in Signs from the start, if you play on Death March.

The skill I talked about is in the 4th tree, called survivalist I think ? Didn't play the game for a day or two I forgot the name. Anyway look for it, 500 vitality is pretty nice (plus green mutagens, ONLY if you're concentrating on alchemy).

I made an alchemy build for death march, vitality bonus +3000, with the mutagens it reach +5000 lol. I was playing with the starting level 1 armor when I was level 31, and still monsters my level had to hit me for 3 minutes to get me close to 15% HP... So, way too op.

Also made a +100% crit chance, +300 crit damage, +75% attack power once, +100% atk power with thunderbolt, but I scratched it, one shooting quest bosses is not fun ...

Didn't try sign build but apparently it's OP too if you take the right skills.

Just choose what looks fun to use, if you try to make a serious build the game loses a bit of it's fun, even if CDPR's gonna patch the whole thing soon.

PS :  @gregathit : you the man greg, you the man.

Thanks, is the signs tr....branch that strong? I spent everything so far (level 6) on sword fighting (fast and power attacks). I feel as if that might have been a bad choice, I rarely use power attacks as normally I just spam foes in single combat and they don't get that many chances to coutner attack and drop your health without allies. Anyway, this game is awesome .............some scenes and dialogue lines are kind of depressing though....... :(

Funny review, and spot on. I'd disagree about using a Gampad for pc. I use a G13 with mouse as controllers (total around 40 buttons -- all macro-able), making general control a breeze -- you can macro tons of stuff for each button, that the Console-Centric Gampad design compromises, or breaks for PC. So you can aim/position and move with thumbstick and mouse pitch/yaw. Use/Interact and Block with mouse buttons, and all your attacks -- all of them including signs have a dedicated instant fire G13 button; no goofy console menu required unless throwing a bomb. Takes a few days to set up, but much more precise control vs gamepad. Combat is very deliberate, being able to control your character exactly how you want to is very OP. Default controls are very sloppy par console/gamepad nonsense.

Questing to upgrade armors/weapons set quality levels will provide nice post campaign content -- when you've been deserted by all friends and lovers; and are feeling lonely -- finishing the main campaign was the worst part of the entire game, a big fat -WTF? So, on your second play-thru, don't be in a hurry to finish, until mods or expansions fix that great big WTF?

I'm not sure if specs are op or simple mobs can't keep up. At start the game was fair challange (bones diff). I didn't really put much tought into my spec - grabbed cat armros because they had attack , 2 red mutagens , specing into light attacks then some adrenaline and elixir stuff and i slowly started tearing things up.

Yes you probably want to pick either light or strong attacks and stick to it. The idea is that light attacks gos with light armor and heavy for strong attacks - or at least the specialisation that gives bonus to light attacks per light armor worn suggests so.

EDIT: actually it might not matter - to get the 3rd row you need to spend 20 points in attacks anyway

I got all first two rows of the two first columns in swords, and just one point for the two special attacks since they're way too op when they're maxed out. Once you get that, you can invest in some passives in the sword tree until level 25ish, then add some quen. Oh and avoid cat armor if you're deep into sword tree, as the bonus attack power makes you way too op. Even if you take a lot of damage, it's pointless if you one shot everything, much more rewarding to have less attack power and more tanky-ness. Fights last longer that way, and feel really challenging.

Plus cat armor is kinda yuck isn't it ? I mean leather crotch and slim jeans, c'mon lol

I know, but in my opinion it they should have done it different. Tastes are different.

Interesting. My Money-Problem is different .. I have about 12000 coins and no clue what to do with them ... I never buy stuff, all I do is repair all the time, and I mostly "live off the land" aka steal everything I can. But really, what should I buy? Thre is NOTHING of interest ... maybe if I eventually find out how to buy/build blank runestones ...

Money, food and stuff -  the land is ravaged by war , people are starving so no different food is expensive and hard to get. In the initial area i was selling honey to the herbalist - she put up notice about it and is buying them at full price. Then i belive you can farm soem monsters but i had never need for gold so i have no idea what is profitable. (but you shouldn't need to buy food , you loot enough of it)

As for buying - yea i find myself too having surplust coin - ended with 25k. Things that are probably good to buy : maps for the witcher sets, gwent cards (while strongest cards you win from others you still need the 22+cards to make deck  ), crafting recipes. Sometimes you may also need to buy ingredients.

You guys heard about the xp glitch ? Like people used igni on a bunch of sheep, got lots of xp, then mediated for an hour, the sheeps respawn, igni, et caetera ad eternam hocus pocus.

Well CDPR deployed the Bovine Defense Force in the last patch, a level 45 Chort arrives at full speed from nowhere to rip your face off if you try it ahaha

PS : @ jxm, your money's gonna be all gone once you start buying enhanced and superior diagrams for potions, or start crafting witcher gear, or buy runestones ... They could've balanced the thing a bit more tho, having 35k gold and then absolutely nothing is depressing.

PS2 : i had 45 000 gold, and I hit a cow in Skellige by mystake. The guards FREAKED out, and twenty of them showed up and whacked the fuck out of me. So I wake up, go back to Novigrad, come back to Skellige, wasting my auto save slots, and then notice the guards took ALL my crowns. Like all of it. Last manual save : 15 hours ago.

Derp a welp derp.

I already wodnered what that Defense Force actually meant...funny...

Well, yeah, probably, but I still don't see much reason to buy anything. I crafted the enhanced version of the griffin, and I so rarely use most of the potion-stuff (only Swallow, raffard, tawny, what else is needed, and with only two quickslots its a pain anyway to care for more potions..). And I only use lesser runestones if any...why? Because I always fear I find a better peice of equipment and want to keep the better runes for that....until I have finished the game..

But that's not the Witcher's problem...I end up always in RPGs with tons of money I NEVER spent and special potions etc I NEVER used...

I spend all my points in fire and shield and then just try to focus on fast attack.

if you have more points available just put 5 for the potions so they last longer and are more effective.

with fire, shield and powerful fast attacks you would be unstoppable.

Killing cows was never because of XP, it's an exploit peaple on low lvl were using to farm and sell their hides, as a result breaking the game's economy.

XP bug is still present even after the latest patch. It's related to some quests, that do not give you experience even if they are in range of your lvl.

Actually with every patch released CDPR managed to break more things then fix them. From overall graphical and performance downgrade to game mechanics and quests.

I see, didn't try it or heard about it before the last patch so I wouldn't know. Not seeing anything broken to be honest, still playing as well as ever and still not understanding what is the big deal about the changes made in the graphics. Even if I do think there is a need for some mods so our PCs can work at full power, the game is still beautiful. I mean it's the prettiest graphics on an open world RPG ever made at the moment, can't understand why folks think they deserve better.

Any-who, seriously how the writers handled Triss' story line is bitter as hell. Somehow

since I rejected her for the kiss, and let her leave for Kovir, and after the kiss with Yen when Triss came back for the battle at kaer morhen, she seems fucking pissed at me. Like, I found her earrings around her bed that Yen threw away from Kaer Morhen's highest chambers, and gave them back to her. She only said thanks, reminds me of the good old days, repeated twice "the good old days" while looking frankly desperate, and turned away. Like, we're done y'know... Cold as fuck, yet realistic too, but still cold as fuck.

Yeah, I've ignored quest exp and all the goofy functionality CDPR is getting wrong, sans proper level scaling. Similar to Community-Uncapper, you can just fix the game by upping exp to a multiple of x 5-10 for killing monster/bandits -- there does not seem to be a level restriction on mob exp, so you'll get exp regardless. Ignore the quest exp, or just set it to zero and focus on kill exp and you may find yourself challenging everything that moves. At higher levels of difficulty this seems to work really well -- you'll see your exp bar bump up after a long-fought harrowing battle with a red-skulled mob.

Worst part is no one will manage to do it as fucking well as CDPR did. It's so well written and so well voice acted that I don't see anyone except CDPR themselves edit it masterfully. Really the problem is not the writing in itself, but the amount of it. For example, I'd have like just one other side quest with Triss which brings some closure to their story, make them part ways either on really bad terms or on really good terms, something like that. Instead it's like she's just ... gone y'know ?

The sequence where she leaves for Kovir ain't even a final farewell, I mean she comes back like salt in your wounds, and this time she's just angry at you, or worse, she ignores you to concentrate only on the subject of the main quest line. I hope the DLCs are so well done that they fix this thing totally, I mean I'm fucking sad as hell, if not for the story pushing me towards Yen with that Priscilla song, I'd have def chosen Triss...

Dunno maybe it would be possible to cut and combine existing voice acting in game to create something qulity.

i'm supposed to pick Yen on this play and what you said is not exactly helping me :( I like Triss so much more and seeing all that will really pain me :(

@Boovie bug- i didn't know about it but when saw it in patch notes i googled. Cool approach from them really , i read it as "We know about the exploits but it is your game so do as you please " .

@exp bug - i did read that there is no exp bug but rather some quests got wrong level tag and as result you think you are doing for your level but game sees the quest as under 5lv and you don't get exp.
