So will the new body work with Bodyslide?

Anything will work with Bodyslide.  I imagine scivirus will make a conversion set to convert at least CBBE/COSIO models to the new body.

I'm having a rather odd issue after reinstalling this, i build the Cosio HD body just like i always did and it doesn't load any of the cosio modifications into the game, just a plain cbbe body. no other bodies are being build when i do a batch build or manual.. very confused as to how this is happening.

Do you have the bodies ticked when you do the batch build?

Because you only need to build the CosioHD body once, and then bach build the armor/clothes but untick all the bodies in the bach build list.

Yeah I first build the armor with the preset I use then just the body, disabling any other body option on the way.

kind of odd because I’ve never had that issue with cosio before, always been super easy to get up and running.

I had Bhunp installed before today for about a week to try it but I completely removed all of its files before reinstalling cosio

Are you using Mod Organizer?

Because I once had the problem that for some reason BodySlide overwrote files in one folder, but the game would then use the files from another folder with higher mod priority thus the new files ended up never touched by the games.

You can check if this is the case by looking in the Data tab and manouvering to the mesh folder to see which mod the mesh is loaded from. Then you can check when the file that MO loads has last been changed in windows and if that is not the same timestamp when you last build the mehs in BodySlide, you know what the problem is.

Theoretically BodySlide should modify the same highest priority files that the game later loads, but in this one case it didn't and it took me quite some time to find and quash that problem. It is most certainly not a common problem, since I had it only twice in many years of modding and occasionally making my own conversions for Skyrim.

If it turns out to be that, you can delete or better move the file that BS didn't change and then re-build.

I use vortex, usually works fine for all my mods but for some reason no matter what i do this time cosio won't work for me =\ i've tried completely reinstalling the game and all my mods twice and keep getting the same issue

weird I'm also using vortex and can confirm that cosio works for me just fine I guess

Maybe something prevents BodySlide from overwriting files? Did you try starting Vortex in administrator mode?

If that fails, could you try to deactivate all mods except BodySlide and CLAMS and test if it works then?

I got the body to work finally, looks like there were some lingering random body files from some other body in the folder that vortex wasn't deleting, still can't get the remodeled cbbe armor to work but thats not as big of a deal to me at least lol

Good that you got it working.

I'm still using NMM just because Vortex still has little random issues like the one you had.  I'm sure it will be great eventually, but not yet,

and running 300+ mods you need something "trustworthy" ?

Posted

I think i found the mod that caused the issue, dynamic cloth system, has a cosio conversion i was using. apparently there is a body mesh it installs that completely fucks everything over. once that was gone i have no issues

Trustworthy isn't the first word that comes to my mind when hearing NMM, especially not for 300+ mods.

In my experience NMM is great, quick and easy for mods that do not conflict with each other. But once they do, you really need to know what your doing or you can easily ruin a lot.

And finding and fixing mod conflicts in NMM can be quite the pain compared to MO and presumably Vortex from what little I know about it.

True.

I'm using LOOT and TES5Edit to make sure everything is running smoothly.

I'm sad to report that Clams of Skyrim uses the "balloon" from the CCBE body to show pregnancies. I was hoping this body would just use the body mesh.

Using the balloon has clothing, straps, & even weapons clipping with this artificial belly, and breaks immersion.

That depends on which preggo mod you use. Some use body mesh, others don't.

@Hannibal139 One thing that came to mind is that maybe there is another skeleton overriding xp32. I always exchange the bodyslide skeleton with the xp32 one by renaming it and placing it into the folder of bodylside. Make a backup of the original one. The gap might not be noticeable for a lot of people because of the different bodyslide presets they use. Experiment with the sliders affecting the hip area.

@TomahawkShop The distorted pelvis region might be the result of the weight painting in that area. Certain animations tend show this error more than others. The skeleton used might also be the culprit. Do you have XP32 installed? Make sure that it is not overridden. You could try to smooth the weight painting of the body in bodyslide or in another 3D program like Blender. The skyrim body mesh only supports 4 weights per vertex and spikes occur where there are more than 4 weights per vertex (This can be seen on the HDT bodies pelvis area on some meshes). Then the bones' weighting on the vertex must be changed so that the transition from one bone's weight to another is smooth while animating the mesh. This is the most tedious part of creating a body mesh and can take hours to achieve.

@Dovahblood12Make sure that the files from CosioHD are not overridden by other body or texture mods. Do you use MO2? If not I would recommend using it because you can straightforward see which files take precedence over other installed files/ mods. The gap might be the result of different normal maps. Fair skin complexion comes with its own normal maps (textures). So if you want to use Fair Skin Complexion it should override all other mods including CosioHD. Another thing might be that you have different head/ body meshes installed. They have to have the exact same vertex data (position / vertex normals/ weight /vertex color etc.) so that the game engine renders them in the same way.

Do you mean replacing and renaming skeleton in BS's "res" folder? If so, i did that but it doesn't work, gaps are still there. Thanks for the help

even if it wasnt nemesis doesnt have the same drawbacks as fnis and works better that and combat gameplay overhaul requires it

If only it had creaturesupport and worked out of the box

How is the new body project coming along scivirus?

Actually I wanted to show you something I found, which is really interesting. There is this follower called S_Mink I found in the nexus by some ing0802. Has a derpy face but the real interesting thing is the custom cbbe body choices it has. Sadly it does not have animated vagina but for people that want that fertility goddess aesthetic it's pretty nice.

Wonder if it would be possible to make a reference for clothing and an hdt vagina for it?

Um, whut? The body mesh either has a balloon or it doesn't. Fusion Girl, for example, doesn't have a balloon, CBBE does.

Is there a much much reduced bounce XML anywhere? No judgement or comment on anyone's preferences at all; would simply like really small movement for me.
