lonelyzentai Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 I'd love to get involved somehow, if you'll have me - I can offer my experience as a commercial and leisure writer to really flesh out the story (which I've barely started, but I'm sure it'll be awesome) and push the immersion to the next level. There is actually something you could help with. See below. I mean in the future, maybe the next next update. I have begun to work on random comments and dialogues by NPCs. But not like Cursed Loot where all NPCs share the same lines. I'll try to add a few unique sentences to some of the more prominent characters. As an example, remember Aela from the companions? Who usually greets you with "If you wish to hunt with me, your feet must be quick and your eyes quicker" or something like that? Well, now, when you're wearing rubber, she might comment on how wearing rubber may affect a hunt. Like that the tight fit might be beneficial, but the gasmask could impact your sense of smell. That sort of thing. Maybe you'll even have the opportunity to engage her in a short dialogue and discuss it further. It will, obviously, be a lot of work. So if someone has some ideas for comments or short dialogues with certain NPCs, feel free to send them to me. Obviously, I reserve the right to cherry-pick want I like. But generally, the texts should not be too long. Comments 2 lines max, dialogues maybe 3-4 back-and-forth-exchanges tops. And they have to fit the character. Someone like Aela for instance would probably not concern herself too much with how rubber makes her look. She would be more concerned with its practicality for a huntress - or lack thereof. Likewise, Ingun Black-Briar might be interested in how the rubber gloves and gasmask might protect her from acidic components or toxic gases during her alchemy experiments. Taarie from Radiant Rayment however is totally concerned about looks and appearances. She might comment on how shiny the rubber is or how it accentuates the body or something like that. As a side note: I have slowed down development a bit. After having spent almost every free minute on the 0.5.0 release for months, I'm a tiny bit burned out. I won't throw everything down just yet. But if I keep this up, working on the mod might become a chore instead of a hobby. And that would be the beginning of the end. So to avoid that and keep my interest in it, I'll have to hit the brakes a little. I understand that people who like what I've done so far probably want me to keep churning out more of it nonstop. I'd probably want that, too, if the situation were reversed. But I hope you understand the reasons behind it. Hmm I'm not extremely well-versed in Elder Scrolls lore and I'm not familiar with a lot of the characters, but I can look for the ones you've named and see what I can do. I love the idea of having flavor text pop up when talking to NPCs as well. I can draft out some dialogue and comments and send them to you, but I'll need a bit of time to read up on the characters and familiarize myself with them so that the text will be plausible. I've edited my copy of the mod a little bit to include a lot more periodic messages to cycle through once you hit the final stage - I've noticed that because you spend so much time in the last stage, the 4 existing messages get cycled through really quickly and become repetitive. I've increased the number of "thoughts" to 25. I thought of increasing the number of thoughts for the earlier stages as well, but I wasn't motivated since my playthrough already reached stage 3 =p Besides, the first two stages go by relatively quickly. I've also tried changing everything to the first person, expecting it to be more immersive, but having it in the second person makes the "thoughts" seem more authoritative, and seems to make you feel more helpless about your situation, so I ended up changing them all back. Let me know if you'd like me to send you the messages I've written. I had the fantasy of having the zipper slowly disappear as the stages go along, and I've accomplished this in my game by modifying the catsuit's textures and normals, and manually, across play sessions, updating the messages you get when you attempt to remove the suit. I'm not sure if its possible to have this happen automatically through the mod, but if you want to add that in I can send you the flavor text I've written for the various stages as well. I have recorded my playthrough of the mod so far, and will be releasing it alongside diegetic, in-universe "journal" entries that I will upload onto my DeviantArt gallery as chapters in a story. I'll most likely put up 3-4 chapters first as a test run and then decide if the response is worth the effort to keep them up. The game was going fantastic so far and I don't know what it's causing it. The quest is this one: Rubber Punisher As soon as I speak to the guest and tells me to follow, the game CTD without explanation whatsoever. Also consider disabling Death Alternative. In addition to it being listed in this mod's possible conflicts, personally I'd always had stability issues with it, although I'm not familiar with its latest versions.

Thanks will do that Also Death Alternative didn't give any problem so far as is needed for others mods listed there, I have three saves prior to the whole Trapped in Rubber. I tried to do various things with them, going all the way to this scene and it always crashes, no matter what. So I have tried the clean save solution Maybe there is a line missing, or the mod didn't install properly, that I don't know, but I'll do that and see if I can continue. Once again thank you! Update: Either I'm writing it wrong or something else is happening I write in the command console setstage tir_fp_punish 100 and it says that the command line is not found

Should be setstage tir_fp_punish01 100 Don't worry, I deactivated Death Alternative, but it doesn't seem the cause of that CTD. Tried with a clean save, and still having the same issue. Ouh well I'll have to "cheat the game" xD Edit: Weird stuff Red is standing in the table along with the other rubbersister and they cannot move xDDD danm this npc's! Reedit: meh, any kind of special order is turn out with CTD Licking the boots of the mistress cannot be done either

Okay I'm starting to think I'll have to redo the whole thing from a new save, right from the beginning. Now the mistress stand still with opens arms, calls for everyone after that scene, when I tell her to end the party and she tells me to wait. Sometimes it will CTD and sometimes is a brown/black screen with Mov Ref1 Mov Ref2 Mov Ref2 and so on and then the screen freezes Thanks for the continued help Papyrus.0.log

However, the underlying problem may cause trouble later on. @_@ Okay I'm profecient with installing mods in previous TES games, but this one is beyond me @_@ Skyrim seems to work well whenever it wants. A few years ago I could do the whole thing with 200 hours a crap ton of mods and had no problem. Now with Skyrim and Steam being around, it seems everytime I have to reinstall, something is messed up. So if I get it right... I don't have to do anything else, other than deactivate the mod, start a new clean save. Install the mod, and then hope for the best? Also to do what you are telling me, I have to go the game open up the console and introduce sqv tir_fp_end01 right? Somehow from the start of the log I get a lot of errors with the animations, so maybe I have to reinstall the XPMS 3.3 too? I'll try the getting late first and think that is only the party being bugged xD Thanks Edit: NOPE you were right, if I get late, and start the punishment I get a CTD. No, I don't think XPMS, RaceMenu, nioverride and whatever else shows errors during loading have anything to do with this. Then again, it wouldn't hurt to troubleshoot them, check for unupdated TIR requirements, run FNIS, etc. Big 'maybe', it might have come to a point where there is a PapyrusUtil clash between mods (AFAIK, TIR uses 2.x non-beta PapyrusUtil, while many other mods, like Zaz Animation Pack which TIR depends upon, use 3.x beta, and 3.x is not backwards compatible). It still boils down to restarting the mod fresh or doing a crapton 'reloadscript's from the console. EDIT: To your edits, like I said, it's not related to any other mods. Please post the Papyrus log of when you crash at punishment, too. Actually needed values at 'State' and 'Enabled?' when you do 'sqv', but nevermind that.

Well I have gone the hard route and re-installed the whole animations, leaving one the XPMS for the newer one. Also It's a pain but I'll have to restart the whole quest from the beginning and hope for the best. About the Zaz: I have the ZazPack Main the textures one and the patch. Don't know when prompted to patch if I have to do it all over the folder, do it manually or what. I read there is a newer ZazResources 1.1a (abandoned) but cannot find the new one, over the web. Okay, but it's already done. I'll start a new character and do the logs if needed to be. I didn't see your message about the punishment log and I deleted them. Sorry ;( I didn't have a character prior to the TIR, or save, so that wasn't possible either. Always need to do a new character. This is something I'll take into account. Just read the awesome guide of how to modding, and took on some pointers with mods. Edit: Right from the beginning is launching lots and lots of errors in the log. Should I worry about it? I think I killed him, or he dissapeared anyway, cannot see his body xD Any possible command to advance the quest? I made the mistake of deleting previous quest saves... (The ones I have are way back to the party in the basement) This quest obviously tells the ocassion to betray the mistress, but the missions prompts anyway to return to the tower and tell her about the orange rubbergirl. No dice, since the previous conversation never happened - tried twice, first tells me there is no escape now, and second he attacks out of nowhere - I don't have the option to advance the quest telling her so Thanks in advance.

The normal order of events as of 0.5.0 is this: Party is over Mistress takes you to basement to remove suit You learn from the purple guard that you can only leave with suit on You put suit back on You leave the basement You confront the Mistress about this You get the next quest Hi, nice to see an expension to this mod but I cannot find how to start the quest after the party ? I put back to suit and get out but nothing happen, the only dialog I get is to remove the suit. First of all: You must start a new game. Continuing from a previous TIR version is NOT supported. The quest should start when you confront the Mistress about why you had to put your rubber suit back on to leave the basement. If that does not happen, something is blocked. Check via 'sqv tir_pr_start01' that all aliases have been filled. If the quest is not running, start it. It should then auto-advance to stage 10 after a few seconds. If that does not happen, you have a problem... If you're sure that it should start, type 'startquest tir_dbg_adv2ponyrace'. If it still can't start, repeat the asking to be released - leaving the basement routine.

Didn't quite understand you (my Babel fish must be asleep). Enaron shouldn't be hostile during this quest, maybe try 'removefromallfactions' on him. His hostility can also be related to some glitch during your first encounter, hard to tell. Console 'setstage tir_twr_rescue01 100' should complete the quest.

I have all mod requirements (since i already played halfway and its the second time with a new game). For the quest i already finished the party. And i did everything as said in the spoiler part of first page. I removed the suit i talked to the guard to exit (activated every single dialogue), i put it back on, she opened the door and finally i got to the dialogue part when i can say: You lied to me.. May i say something: -i hate all of this -etc -etc And after then she only has the option to remove the suit in the basement... nothing else I've really tried and read everything.... If you can help me it would be awesome.
