The problem is there are no 'dummy' egm files for the new head and the ones which are recommended for the conformulator only have the skinny morph (not the expressions or phonemes). Since I have no idea how to make egm files I'll have to do it the same way I made the head .tri files which is manually adjust each morph state, and then export each morph state individually for alllllllllllll the hairs for males and females.  So its taking a while.

Couldn't you try looking up how to make egm files first?

Tried that, but pretty much no info on how to do that floating around the interwebs. The conformulator is made for oblivion modding, which requires an egm file, skyrim doesn't use those files but I need one in order to make the conformulator work

Any new news on development kritakitty?

Nothing spectacular unfortunately, been busy with work and family.

When I have time to work on the mod  I have been adding entries to CK for all the race armor, which takes FOREVER.... this means that you'll have helmets and footwear which won't effect Khajiit, but custom armors won't show up unless you edit the custom armor to appear on the Lykaios race.

Hmmm...And how does one...do that, exactly? I'm not really a mod-maker, but if I have to do something to tweak it myself with the CK, I'm willing to. >.> Also does that include slightly modified vanilla armors? Like armor tweaks and slight adjustments, and such?

Anything that tweaks or replaces vanilla armors will be fine (excepting helmets and footwear) and should show up normally. Problems might arise when a new armor (as in an additional one) are added to the game since they won't have been edited to see the Lykaios race. All you need to do is load the armor mod.esp and the lykaios race.esm in ck and then find the armor entry and add the lykaios race to the additional races for the armor. easy! so should be easy enough to fix and request armor mod makers for a patch.

Any luck with the previously posted links, re: conformulator?

Not really yet, still working on it when I have time.

That sounds like something that could be done with a fairly simply automated tool or script. You even may be able to implement it directly into the ESP .

Kritta, have you tried shooting @throttlekitty a PM on the Nexus? I know he was responsible for the Skyrim Hair Morph Helper mod, so doubtlessly he has experience creating .egm files for use in Skyrim. He might be able to help you out.

In the meantime, you might check out this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/18566/?. I've seen a few people cite it as their source for information about .egm files, and it was authored by the guy I mentioned above. I looked at it, but wasn't able to make much sense of it as I have little experience modding, lol. You might have more luck.

My dear dear KrittaKitty. Please, please please please. I follow your Tumblr and I know you haven't finished your amazing work, I'm a furry lover, but if you have already improved the pawfeet, can you upload these new feet models? I'm not speaking about footwear  but the barefeet themselves. Many are waiting better feetpaw before using your mod, and I'm a part of them. Can you give any news about that?

(By the way, I don't know why some people wants a digitigrade character (or a character with a different feet shape) if they hide the new feet inside shoes :dodgy: )

Well, there is a mod out there that at least conforms the boots and such (Not those added by mods)to fit digitigrade-wise to beast races, and it seems to -KINDA- work on Lykaios as well, probably because it has beast race keywords that trigger it, but still, here it is.

Nooooo that not sexy  :dodgy:

The most important for me, it's to have news about lykaios feet.. I just wait a foot update before playing again to the game.

KrittaKitty, I was trying to make a mod that adds Lykaios people to the game. Real simple, usually just adding them to the follower faction... anyways, whenever I use Skyrim and racecompatibility as Master files in the creation kit, I can customize them and do everything fine. I place them in an indoor cell, and then, when I go to find them, my game crashes. Any tips?

sorta continuing the questions on custom armors, so... what exactly happens? I currently use Immersive Armours, will that have issues with the Lykaios models and stuff? Or will it be safe for me to use both mods? I don't NEED the extra armor styles, but it is nice to have some more variety :P

Posted

@Ddublu - It will be safe for you to use both mods. Based on what kryttakitty has said, if you want to have the armors appear on your character, you'll have to edit the Immersive Armors Esp yourself, since the Lykaios don't inherit models from Khajiit. It's easy enough to do, if a bit time consuming. That said, I would not be surprised if after the Lykaios mod is finished, a patch will be released by someone else, since Immersive Armors is very popular.

Take it from me. Just edit the armors you actually want to use. (I once edited Immersive Jewelry to allow certain necklace models to be shown on Khajiit, since they weren't by default, for whatever reason)

Is there a place where someone can donate to Krittakitty? I've been using the old version of the Lykaios mod and loving it, felt like I should try and support the creator

Kritta:

Was just reading up on the October release of the complete overhaul of Skyrim; and by that I mean it will be x64 now instead of x32 (no need for memory management! yeah) and... A NEW creation kit!  Have you considered that with such a major change to the system, you might want to shelve this till the CK is released in the next two months, before all your harder works is 'useless' in the new CK for whatever reasons?

I basically stopped playing after the pics of this wonderful work and trying to update all the patches etc. for it just more burden than fun, so I mainly been waiting. Now with the October release, less need for all the patching (aka a fresh clean start) I would love to see this released shortly after the overhaul and make it a true new experiance much simplier and more enjoyable. Thanks for taking all the time you have been and look forward to the one day release of this.

Huh...I never heard of that..or is that the 'update' that you can choose if you will get it or not? I myself have been avoiding that update like the plague, I've not heard may good things of it, like for example, ALOT of our mods won't work with it for a long while....if that's the update I think it is.

It was my impression that the update is only a slight visual upgrade for those people who still haven't downloaded any visual mods.

Yeah, but it's weird...you could get your own mods for that from the nexus. What do we need from Bethesda practically saying they can make 'mods' too? Pretty late to say that but still... I've also heard that the guys that made SkyUI aren't going to make one for that version of Skyrim either. More than enough for me to keep my distance from it..if it's not forced on us.

It was mostly bringing visual upgrades and mods to the console players.
