yes, you need clean save for test version

ok thanks but i don't think that is of a issue anymore because i restarted my playthrough once more to fix a remaining bug.

so now my question changed from is a clean save necessary to is the test version safe to use and ...well tested? :D

can i overwrite my files with the newest update if the mod is still disabled in the mcm? or is a clean save still needed?

yes, you need clean save for test version

Hi Ed86,

I have a bit of a problem with the latest release of today (from the download section, not the -test one here in the thread)

An upgrade from the version before or a clean save causes

- my papyrus log to grow to several GB within mere minutes

- Deviously Cursed Loot to think that either I am a male or have children around/modified

Note: I am currently using the Bimbo race from SL Hormones. But so far this has not been an issue, no other mod makes my char male.

My clean save:

- used 'reset' option in the previous version

- saved

- cleaned that save with the save cleaner (including the option to delete all scripts and forms)

- activate the new version

- load

result as described above.

I have not yet tried with a completely new game.

papyrus log snippet (220MB while the game still initializes the mods after loading the actual game world):

stack:
[_SD_mcm_001 (23092327)]._SD_ConfigQuests.OnUpdate() - "_SD_ConfigQuests.psc" Line 89
[07/11/2015 - 05:05:22PM] Warning: Assigning None to a non-object variable named "::temp16"
stack:

[07/11/2015 - 05:05:22PM] Error: Method Is3DLoaded not found on MilkPlayer. Aborting call and returning None
[EDIT]

strange one:

I started a new game with gender female and the issue does not occur. My previous save, the one showing the problem, I had startedd as a male so I can take advantage of the Hormones Bimbo/TS quest. By now, and for most of my game hours, I had been transformed into a full woman and so far no issues with Cursed Loot. Only when updating MilkMod I get the issue (no problem with the previous version).

Has something changed regards gender detection and is the 'original' gender still somewhere recorded even though I should now be fully considered female gender?

... confused...

mme doesnt alter genders, you probably deleted something you shouldnt have, you should make save w/o mme b4 activating new version

or changed too many mods in load order

or maybe updated hormones while ur bimbo?

hormones I updated on the 8th, 3 days ago, and played a good few hours since. Cursed Loot I updated yesterday morning and again played several hours yesterday until today. None did affect Cursed Loot to consider my char to be male.

Anyway, I loaded a bunch of older saves while having MME disabled and each time Cursed Loot disables itself... as if the old MME (v 07-06-2015) hid the fact that 'I used to be a man'...

No matter, I just stick with that version for this playthrough as it works for me. "There are more things in ESPs and Papyrus, Horatio, than are dreamt of..."

thanks for your feedback.

Did you remember to reset Sexlab framework after you changed genders via curse?

Running the 7-11 test version

Fresh-out-of-Helgen character that had never seen MME before.

Added mods in a few at a time, saved, exit, re-enter game, save, exit, activate more mods..... rinse and repeat.....

Got to a point where it would CTD on load. Check Papyrus. Last thing I saw was ZAD rehooking. I'm blaming MME because that seems trendy. :) (JUST KIDDING, DAMMIT)

Actually I hadn't activated MME yet when that was happening.

Anyways... got all mods I wanted activated.

MME is running without a hiccup alongside SGO. I had MME controlling breasts, then turned that off and let SGO control breasts. Ran with MME milk production active but not controlling breasts as SGO was controlling them.

I realize that some folks have to run a long time to start seeing problems, but right now.... no problems. Oh and I fast traveled, coc'ed in console to a few places, did goofy shit I don't normally do. Forced really fast milk production. Made sure both MME and SGO were making milk at the same time. Milked both at the same time. She still has her girlish figure but she's getting quite a reputation....

:D

Why did you not start the game with all the mods loaded?

Starting a game with all your mods loaded just seems to cause trouble. There are several mods out there that specifically say NOT to start a new game with them enabled.

Over time I've learned to start a new game with only the mods I need to create the character and get out of Helgen. You don't need all of the special textures. You don't need SexLab (although I've never had a problem when sexlab was enabled accidentally for a new game). You just don't NEED a whole lot. Custom race if your character will be a custom race. But you don't need followers or houses or custom armor or any of that. Just get the hell out of Helgen first and THEN start configuring stuff.

I've just found that I have FAR fewer problems when I follow this procedure. AND.... you have a "clean save" to go back to if something goes terribly wrong :) It's "clean" because nothing was in it to screw it up! No Save Tool needed.

Oh and that CTD on load I mentioned earlier? And seeing ZAD hooking as the last entry in Papyrus before the crash?

Entirely my fault.

I ran Tes5Edit on my profile and found I had somehow had 2 mods switched in my order. I think it was DD Integration and DD Expansion.

Fixed that.... no crash. There's a LOT of variables that can cause us to crash this thing :)

Besides the advantage of having a clean save to start other games I don't see much merit in disabling all the mods. I mean, if you start enabling them a few at a time you can still screw up, how do you know the order of the mods to enable? Stuff can get screwed just as well as starting with all mods enabled. Also I think if there would be a problem starting with all the mods it will become obvious pretty fast, if you could even start the game.

I use MO. Mods are ordered in left pane and right pane. I guess you just learn what needs what loaded before it. But with MO you only have to do it for a new race/gender combo. Because if you've already done that combination and gotten it out of Helgen, you just copy it to a new profile with a new mod mix.

Oh... and easy example of loading a shit-ton of mods all at once, happened to me on this new character in a different profile. Took my clean character, activated all the mods (and they're in the right order) and everything loaded EXCEPT.... I got no Apropos MCM. Trying to kick it in with "setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1" didn't work.

Save, quit, disable Apropos, restart without it. Save quit, clean with SaveTool. Restart, load save, wait... go to the bathroom... get a drink... save, quit. Restart and load again, save quit.

Enable Apropos, restart, load... Apropos MCM loads.

Why didn't it load the first time? VRAM? Who the fuck knows? But when I load mods in stages I don't have that problem. I'm not talking about doing them in groups of 5 or 6 when you have 80. I'm talking about like.... half and half or something close to that. Big textures seem to give me the most trouble, but I'm running on a Mac Mini with integrated Intel HD4000 graphics so that's no real surprise. I do have 16GB of ram but Skyrim won't use it. :)

Thanks for the reminder, Shadowscale but yes, I did right when the curse changed me to the Bimbo race. Many hours have gone by since with no issues and one update of Cursed Loot and another bunch of hours after that.

I re-activated the previous version of MME and now it is working fine again, that's what confuses me. Removing MME completely actually also triggers Cursed Loot to shut down... go figure... as if MME is hiding the fact of my 'past life as a man'.

Anyway, for the time being I keep it as it is and with the next play through I'll activate the then latest version of MME and we'll see what happens then.

cheers

After merging all of my armour and weapon mods into a single esp, as well as condensing all of the patches I have, I have a load order of about 249 active plugins showing on MO.

I never use the Vanilla start, and I always start with all of my desired plugins running. I have Wet and Cold, SexLab, Devious Devices and nearly all of the DD family enabled, Death Alternative, ZAP, RN&D, Beeing Female, SD+, SLHormones, SL Aroused Redux, PSQ and MME among other mods running from the moment I hit New Game. I have yet to experience any problems starting a New Game that had not stemmed from a messed up load order, and I set my load order by hand.

If it has any effect, I always start my game using Live Another Life. After generating my character, I just let the game sit for about 10 minutes while all the mods initialize and the MCM gets sorted out.

So, basically, what I'm saying is I've never seen this issue, and it's probably a hardware issue. More powerful machines can probably get away without having to do an incremental load.

key words = "More powerful machine" ... hehehe

I'm on a Mac Mini (quad core i7 with 16GB memory) and it only has integrated graphics! (Intel HD4000).

I used to build all my own PCs, but I got lazy. The mini is... well.... mini... and quiet. And my PC is in my living room so quiet is a big deal :)

Anyways... without derailing everything TOO much farther.... on my machine I just find my method of incremental introduction of mods leads to more reliable running. I'm certain a gamer machine can do far better than this. I know 'cause I've built them. :D

Fair enough, but then mine is a laptop that has an i7 with 8GB RAM. I think the performance is in the graphics card since my Geforce chip set is a 4GB GPU.

On Topic: Is there any major problems with the new test build of MME? I'm tempted to upgrade, but I'm kinda liking the stability of my current load order.

 well... you tell me xD

i have not time to test it, i just load new game, wait 5 min for mods to load and test newly added/changed options

Recently switched to UUNP , and got tired of misaligned UVs and since I couldnt find any proper uunp conversion for MME (maybe im blind?), I made this quick conversion of milking cuirass

http://www.mediafire.com/download/fhwd7fmu0f8ealf/Milking+Cuirass+UUNP.rar

It's the no panty variant, just bare milking cuirass, converted with UUNP special as base body. It's hardly a "quality" conversion , some of the slimmer unp shapes look bit wierd, but dont think I can do anything about it, its just how OS conforms to sliders. Works with hdt etc, looked fine in my game if yours look wierd .. well wait till somebody more experienced makes a proper conversion  .

O.o

i just made new game, become milkmaid, exited winterrun saved, used cariage to riften saved, removed mod esp, loaded, everything ok

do you have safety load skse plugin installed? how much ram u have?

you ctd during save load or after?

I removed safety load from my modload some days ago. It didnt make any difference.

4GB for the pc, 3GB for the graphiccard.

I sometimes cd during save load as I run way too many texture mods for my comp. Thats the reason I know that ctd during loading the 0 mod save is MME dependant... I never crashed before doing this (and loading that 0 mod save I do, since I started playing skyrim some years ago. Its one of my failsaves). To further describe how often I ctd: Today not a single time. This might be luck though. Since yesterday I did uninstall a companion mod which used a lot of ressources, upgradete the hdt physic file to  a better version and replaced MME to the 28.03 version. My skyrim runs extremely well at the moment.

Fiewiel, you are not alone there. It sounds like you have the same problems as I do. I thought it was a different mod all this time. But I thought screw it, try uninstalling MME. Now (it seems) I can save with out any trouble. BUT for some reason now sexlab animations won't work, the moment the actors get into position BOOM crash. I re-install MME; animations work fine though I haven't properly tested saving. Bare in mind that this playthrough of mine is just over five hour young and I haven't even thought of using MME it has just simply been installed sitting there. I can only assume it's this mod because it sounds like the same deal.

MME doesnt change anything in external mods, well except adding milk to stock vendors and ineed formlists

I just tried the mod, seems to work fine. I was just wondering, I placed some of zaz miking machines with the compatibility patch and you can move camera fine on those while milking. Why can't you move the camera with the ones this mod places? Was that a design choice?

its bugged skyrim force3d keyword that causes camera freeze, dont remember why i added it

so i removed in latest version

Is the new version the same as the test one or do I have to install it?

different, some "last minute fixes", better install new one

your new update seem to have caused issues with other mods. namely, deviously cursed loot (with the playing as male character) and aroused monitor widget which caused her name to disappear. This was just on loading the game.

Posted

I had a similar issue but was not able to directly attribute it to MME. However immediately upon installing MME (and MME was the only thing being installed), SexLab apparently thought my male character was female. AND I lost all control during animation. No keyboard input, no mouse, no zoom, no ability to advance stages, etc.

I had to do a Uninstall/Reset on SexLab to straighten it out again. I have no idea how MME could do this. Something with ZaZ intgration of the Futa stuff? Total guesses on my part as I have no idea.

just started fresh game, everything works

well i have no idea what causes this either, mme should have nothing to do with this, something wrong with papyrus, errors stack up and when mme esp is removed, all hell breaks loose

like that _SD 3d error

indeed DCL doesn't support males. My female character is whats being effected and haven't tested it on a male character yet. I fear i may have to start a new game to get the new update to work.

The other issue is my character's name disappears from the aroused monitor widget. Even your method of clean saving has no effect.

Those are just minor issues tho, i need further testing to see other issues (if there are any).

I've still got the 6-17 version in a ton of profiles. I keep trying the newer version and, frankly, it's tough to get going. I'm not sure why.

I took a save and deactivated the 6-17 version, restarted, saved, cleaned, saved, checked savetool again to see if I had any OTHER stragglers, loaded, saved, finally installed the 7-11 test version and all hell broke loose. SexLab thought my male PC was a girl, loss of keyboard, mouse control during animations, Apropos was fucked up and apparently that was because it reads something from Sexlab, thought I was a girl, changed to 3rd person descriptions even though 1st person descriptions were selected.

REAL WEIRD SHIT

So I did a complete Uninstall/clean of sexlab. Reconfigged all of SexLab's MCM settings... that got everything working correctly again

EXCEPT..... none of MME's hooks worked. No milk leak on orgasm, no dialogue milking, nothin'. I've learned in the past that when the hooks don't kick in, that save is probably fucked.

I am a HUGE fan of this mod. Hell, I wrote JUGs BECAUSE of this mod! :)  But the July versions are taking an incredible amount of work to get installed correctly. I've done it. I've gotten a couple of profiles switched over, but it's like pulling teeth. And I've got about 30 profiles and each has maybe 15 or 20 saves. So that's somewhere between 450 to 600 saves to clean? I'd never do that anyways. Just clean the most recent and go on from there, but still....

I'm really thinking that I can only use the new version on new games. And even then I've had issues. But generally have best success with new games. I wish I could be helpful and point to something goofy in my load order that causes problems. Maybe it's the new version of ZaZ and not MME at all, but everything works when I install ZaZ and then gets all fucked up when I install MME July versions. And why can I fix it SOMETIMES and other times no matter what I do SOMETHING stays fucked up?

I'll admit to being a tinkerer, but I've tried to figure out WHY I'm having this difficulty and I can't.

And maybe MME is fine, but it interacts with something ELSE that has a fault so MME isn't the cause, but maybe it's a trigger.

color me frustrated

I'm not even sure I can keep playing without MME. I need to figure this out.
