Sacremas Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Yeah that sounds great, make him Essential and only able to be knocked into bleedout if I get tired of him and I'm good with that, plenty of essential characters in the game. Then make him level 100 with attacks that deal 2000 damage per hit. But completley impossible to harm with an attack that can one-shot an ancient dragon? Yeah...

Give him level 100 skills and a perk that heals him 2k every time he gets hit. And this big massive fireball that kills everything below 5 levels below him. And 2 shots everyone else. That would really make him frustrating.
Sacremas Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 To be honest I would prefer it over the present version. I could still kill someone like that. Hell I could beat the shit out of someone like that without too much effort. I don't think you entirely get exactly how powerful my characters get, or what I have to do to challenge them. I had to make Jenny and Sasha archmages with over 10.000 health for them to be worth anything at all in a fight. Complete invincibility with a scripted takedown however? That just makes me angry, not frustrated.

Sacremas Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 In Shivering Isles, when you became Sheogorath the God of Madness, the most powerful of all the Daedric Princes (way stronger than even Mehrune's Dagon, forget about poor Sanguine), the main way to show your power was a staff that could stop time, and the ability to change the weather, and some other minor things. In Skyrim's main quest the Dragonborn learns to do those things by speaking. This is before you ever install extra mods or become the Archmage of Winterhold or leader of the Dark Brotherhood or whatever else, in the main quest you learn to use words of power to throw enemies with massive force, enough so that it can easily one-shot a giant, cause a thunderstorm, spew fire and cold and freeze people solid, turn ethereal stop time, command and summon animals (even trolls count as animals), see things through walls, make anyone drop their weapons or cower in fear, rouse the spirits of an entire army and make them fight with fervor, and summon ancient heroes from Sovengarde, and summon a dragon. Add Dawnguard and Dragonborn and you can also drain the life out your enemies, raise the dead, summon another dragon (an undead dragon), and command dragons to do your bidding and ride them through the air. You also repeatedly tell Daedric Princes to piss off or do whatever you can to annoy them and they can never do anything, they in fact seek to help you and seek your support, one of those daedric princes - one of the most powerful ones - you even go to his home dimension in oblivion and confront, and he still doesn't slay you when you offend him. You kill vampires and dragon priests that are thousands of years old and some of the strongest beings in the world, you aquire multiple weapons wielded by the gods, and oh yes, you actually kill a god, the Nordic god of Destruction and first born of Akatosh, cheif deity of all the gods, in the afterlife. And I'm supposed to believe some simple naked Dremora can throw me across the room and do whatever he wants, when he was quite incapable of stopping Mia from sacrificing his superior's slaves to Molag Bal? Yeah, I don't buy it.

Yeah, I don't buy it. This was always the fun thing about bethesda games you could become something that could kill gods and devour souls but the next game no matter what will barely mention you as a footnote if your lucky. They never really mention Oblivion's protagonist whatsoever and Morrowind's protagonist ranked only slightly above him as a throwaway line in oblivion's rumor system and a short appearance in a book. It's completely understandable why though. Could you imagine having to write and then voice every line for every character to react differently to who you are and what you have done. bethesda games have never done that and never will, there games and the stories they want to tell are about the world and your character sadly is unimportant to those worlds if only for being pragmatic. To put things back more on topic... Fish would it be cool if you wrote all your characters to react to the pc's status and account for every possibility? yes it would, but do you need to? of course not! do what you want your doing this for free and what you have already done in such a short amount of time is probably not something I could have achieved in the same. If you don't want to then don't bother scripting in a chance that you could kill "quest givers" and break the game hell the people getting paid for it didn't really bother with it! To finish up this long post Fish, Darx, aqqh you guys are awesome for what you have done and I hope you have a good rest of the week. p.s. How is that alternate start quest coming along?

Thanks for the kind words. p.s. How is that alternate start quest coming along? The quest is finished. We are waiting a single voice actor that should be done by the end of April. We will likely go into beta maybe mid month without that voice.
GnatB Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Meh. Simply have Volkar go poof with a summoning effect for an hour whenever he's hit by something, with a message saying Sanguine has returned him to oblivion for his safety. Nice lore friendly way to pretty much make him unkillable. That said, pretty sure Dremora are Daedra. From what I remember of the Lore, when you kill a Daedra's corporal form on Nirn, all that does is send them back to Oblivion. So you could simply give him 1hp or something, with script or something that immediately rezes him (with summoning effect) and him saying "Are you finished yet?", "This is getting boring", "I'm sorry, I'm S, not M"... "yawn"...
Sacremas Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Most people believe that the Sheograth that you meet in The Mind of Madness actually is The Hero of Kvatch. Odds are even if it was an elf or orc female then they would still over the timeb between then and now simply have reshaped into another incarnation of Jyggilag/Sheogorath. The Nervarine went off to Akavir sometime before the Oblivion Crisis and never came back, he or she were immortal due to the Corpus infestation so is probably out there, I'm thinking as the current emperor of Akavir. The hero of Daggerfall I think got erased from reality due to the whole Dragon Break thing that reshaped half the world on the Numidium's activation. The character from Arena died, he or she is the one protagonist we actually know is dead. Elder Scrolls Online I have no idea how that works in on the general timeline, or if it's even canon. Meh. "yawn"... Both of these would be great, and you are correct in that Dremora are Daedra (I think they and Xivilai are the sentient races of oblivion as opposed to just creations of the daedric princes) so they'd get sent back to oblvion upon death and would need to die on their home plane to be actually dead. You find a book in Skyrim that mention that the art of soultrapping became much bigger during and after the Oblvion crisis since if you killed a daedra they'd just come back again, but stuff them in a soul gem and that's one less daedra.

Sacremas Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Oh totally, you can still kill him with mods, I killed im with deadly drain, I gave him a rectal massage with Futa and switching positions, I infested him with chaurus eggs and bound him to a fucking machine, but I just don't want to install a mod only for the purpose of beating up one dremora that shouldn't be godlike in the first place. In that case I could just edit him in CK and turn off the immortality.
fishburger67 Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 This was send by PM to me from a new user. Anyone have any idea what might be causing Volkar to agro on this player? I seem to remember something like this answered a while back, but could not find it. I would like some help with your sex lab slaves mod everytime i go to the slave training area the guy there says you dare strike me dragon born throws a spell at me and my game instantly crashes im not sure why he would to that i have ZAZ and sex lab might you have any ideas? is there a debug that prints what kind of attack player did on volkar? Something in Event OnHit? Personally i can say that volkar does not react to Dual Sheath Redux, SLA or SOS cloak spells. But that guy issue is most likely caused by cloak spell of some kind. For those interested, this turns out to be SexLab Stop Combat. I have added it to the do not use list and updated the main page. In that case I could just edit him in CK and turn off the immortality. I am working on enhancements to the mod that lots of people will hopefully enjoy. Taking time away from that to do something interesting when you attempt to kill Volkar would not be very high on my priority list. As you mentioned, you can must remove the essential tick with CK.
Sacremas Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Totally understandable Fish and really this is just a pet peeve of mine, one of those we all have that just annoy us. The Futa thing that Mimirue17 mentioned above would be WAY higher priority for me than something I can solve a lot of other ways if I just want to mess with the guy. EDIT: Wait, one thing that is actually of pretty big importance to me. For some odd reason all of my guys tend to be good guy paldins and all of my girls are the evil ones who want sex slaves, but very rarely do I play a submissive female, I play a dominant one. The option to let a female player allow Volkar to train a companion just like a male player can would be very appreciated by me.

I think the idea is you aren't supposed to know he's *actually* training you until it's too late. Then as a dominant female, you can just choose to null the contract and train a follower yourself. Makes sense as a female PC, it's his trap to try to ensare the dragonborn. A big deal. Not so much for a male PC. There's no real reason to try to trick the dragonborn into turning one of his followers into an actual sex slave. Not such a big deal. I'd be inclined to argue the only change, (if change is needed) would be to make it clear for male PC's that the demonstration consists of REALLY training the follower. There's no real need for subterfuge. (and it's pretty annoying if you happen to use a follower that you didn't actually want to be a sex slave)
Sacremas Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Except Volkar kinda does the exact same things to you that Archerone did just earlier, which resulted in text messages that "your rage is building" why wouldn't it build when it's another NPC doing it, and that brings me to my whole pet peeve earlier, I want to treat Volkar the same as Archerone.
YumiChan19 Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 I seem to have a problem. my Dark Possession quest didn't update properly. I did the training and drank the potion and read the contract but it still says i need to talk to him about getting the training for the potion. Is there a way to fix this? I would rather not reload a previous save as I have gone through the training like a dozen times and my game always crashed when i tried to save my game. this time it didn't crash but it screwed up the quest.

Go tell Volkar you need more training once or twice more and the quest will progress.

BlackShades Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Since i tried this mod it became my favorate for more than one reasons.I won't go on praising u guys , u know u did a great job. Instead i ll ask about a slight problem i'm having and if this has been asked b4 i'm sry. Whenever i enter the pleasure palace i get "teleported" to a corner in the kitchen. If i save and load in the cell i also get teleported to the kitchen. This has started happening with v43b.Didn't have this issue with the previous versions, or it hasn't started happening yet. Any ideas as to what might be causing it? Thanks again for all your hard work. P.S. Not a big deal really, only slightly annoying

Most likely a cloak spell like that of Wet & Cold or Dual Sheath Redux, occasionally when the cloak includes a NPC that NPC detects that a magic effect was put on them by the PC and interprents it as an attack, this is why you sometimes have Utgerd going ballistic on you in the Bannered Mare or NPCs in Riverwood becoming hostile. Most of the time these things are fixed by leaving the area and waiting for about 3 days then coming back and the NPC should act as normal. I don't know if this could be of some help to you but something similar happened to me too when my dragongirl went to Volkar having drink soul and sexual revenge spells active on her (they are respectively from Angrim's Appentrice and Sexlab Fuck'em up mods). The first one is a spell that kills the one you made sex with. The second one gives damage in return to your agressors. When Volkar whipped my dragongirl I suppose he reacted to their effects. The game did not crash but generated a loop (Volkar whipped my dragongirl, then - I guess - he got the spell effect in return, then he said "how you dare to strike...", then he started the punishment scene and everything happend the same way again and again and I had to reload).

Is is possible to advance to the virgin quest just from the punishment recalls?

Is is possible to advance to the virgin quest just from the punishment recalls? The quest triggers on either the first or second use of "I have returned Master as you demanded...." (first I think) dialogue after you drink the potion. You don't have to be teleported back at all and in fact has nothing to do with the quest progressing. It is just a "punishment" for not doing as you were supposed to do.

I just tried it myself and entering from the castle or the outside doors resulted in me and my party being placed just inside the load doors. I have no dialogue to continue training just the dialogue that i have returned to him for the once every 7 days thing. The dialog I am talking about is one with Volkar, nothing to do with the quest. After drinking the potion, you should have a dialog option with Volkar "I have returned Master as you demanded. I am here to serve you." Take that option once or twice (and go through the training) and then Volkar should force greet you about going to see Vernor which starts the Tabitha quest. I am noticing in your quest log that you do not have "Drink the Master Slave Trainers potion.". This happens when you get the potion as a reward. I am guessing that you had to get the potion with a console command which is why stage 30 "Get more training from Volkar and get the potion." was not marked as complete.
