jordisslave Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 All right, so if I understand it right, everything works ok but the DD Expansion items? Can you confirm that all DD mods are updated to the newest version and that DD Expansion support is enabled in the Cursed Loot MCM? If yes, please post a Papyrus log showing a failed event (as in where it should have equipped boots etc and didn't) and I will have a look at that. That's one of those things that scares me. I might try uninstall and savegame cleaning first, I'm comfortable with that.
cleversheep Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but seems as good a place as any: Is there something special about Serana that makes her different to other NPCs? She doesn't seem to be picked up by this (in that she never gets items, even though follower support is on), Death Alternative hasn't registered her, and SD+ seems to ignore her. Skyrim's follower count variable is at 1, so she's definitely picked up there. I'm past the first quest with her, so in all other respects she seems a normal follower. Any ideas? Sort of hoping it's just my copy that's borked, but the fact that so many mods are having problems suggests otherwise. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give!
w0mpy Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 For both this mod and cursed chests I can not get them to work. Will set the chance to 100% make sure mod is enabled etc. and no devices will ever be placed. Quite confused. Submit with progression and devious captures and the like still work.
Khe Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 never seen any items save the expansion items get added twice...like white pony boots to my main character once. i'll have to try and get it to happen again, but it doesnt seem to happen much

Try telling her to leave you alone. I think she uses a different follower quest, so mods need to handle her specially.
Guest Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Damn, I've disabled like everything I can while still be able to start the game and I can't seem to get it to work. It's been like this since I updated everything. Weird. How do you check for the perks?
Kimy Posted September 30, 2014 Author Posted September 30, 2014 Open console, type "help dcur", find the three perks and their ID (one of them should be named DCUR Containerperk). Then, type "player.hasperk <ID>" and see if the result is 1 (which means you have the perk) or 0 (which means you don't.)

Kimy Posted September 30, 2014 Author Posted September 30, 2014 Ok, that's weird. Do you have the debug messages enabled, and if yes, do they tell you anything at all?
Guest Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Ok, that's weird. Do you have the debug messages enabled, and if yes, do they tell you anything at all? Where do you see the debug messages? I have it enabled, but I don't see anything at all.
Coopervane Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 never seen any items save the expansion items get added twice...like white pony boots to my main character once. i'll have to try and get it to happen again, but it doesnt seem to happen much I have. Bra's, padded belts, iron belts, padded cuffs, i've managed to get duplicates of just about anything, items from both DDi or DDx. I've also gotten items from different sets (feks: got put in red leather items, but had white ebonite duplicates of some of them in my inventory). So there is some oddness going on there, it also affects keys, if you got duplicates of things and you have 2 keys, sometimes removing one item will consume both keys, even if you got rid of the duplicate item before attempting it.

If you can't see anything at all despite looting containers all the time, please post a Papyrus log so I can have a look at it.

Hm, at first I thought duplication issues could maaaaybe caused by a slight code execution lag when the MCM setting "Equip items from inventory" is disabled and the game doesn't add an item fast enough to your inventory for the following call to EquipDevice() to find it there already (in which case it would generate a new DD item). But this would in no way account for different DD items generated and certainly not for two keys being consumed at once. I can't explain how Cursed Loot would be able to cause this issue at all as it doesn't do any key handling and just passes that to DD Integration.
Coopervane Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 DDi can get confused when there are duplicates in your inventory, so the key thing could definately be a side-effect of that.

Looks like I'll have to find another follower to use, then, which is a shame as she's probably the best one in the game. Maybe if I ever get a free week or two I'll look into writing a hack to make mods see her as a normal follower, if it's possible to do that and keep her custom behaviour. Thanks for the help!
Slorm Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 @Kimy Just an update following the log above. I tried a new game (coc qasmoke) and and it's still the same. I thought I'd best test a new game just to be sure
Kimy Posted September 30, 2014 Author Posted September 30, 2014 Yeah, it seems Serana doesn't have the default follower faction set for some reason (Skyrim being Skyrim I guess), which is why Cursed Loot and other mods don't recognize her. Shame that she's a DLC character, otherwise I'd just add support for her.

Khe Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 another thing to add...have you fixed living keys appearing while no harness is worn/owned? I got one yesterday after I updated...and it says in the MCM option that the keys are only if you have it worn (I think)
cleversheep Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 A quick test has shown that asking Serana to follow then using "addfac 5c84e 1" (the current follower faction) seems to work for this and Defeat. Don't think it's working for SD+, but then I'm not sure what that actually does with followers in the first place.

The current follower faction is what Cursed Loot is using to determine if a character is a follower.

PubliusNV Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Thanks very much for looking into the problem; I was afraid that was going to be the answer Devious Interactions should be able to help without resorting to the console. Kimy, just checking, is it possible for the mod to equip ponyboots from the latest ddx? I was away for a few days and didn't have a chance to try this out until last night. Thanks very much for the suggestion, Devious Interactions works great.

I might try uninstall and savegame cleaning first, I'm comfortable with that. All of those mods are installed correctly. I uninstalled DDCL, saved and cleaned the savegame automatically, reinstalled and it made no difference. I have just used Savetool to remove the two DDCL scripts manually, reinstalled and it all works now. For the next version, how about a randomised blackout time with MCM configurable maximum? I'm sure one could lose a day or even more messing around with toys like these. Or a configurable chance to drop, rather than unequip armour and clothes? The notification tells me I'm overcome with lust, uncontrollably ripping my own clothes off seems a logical step.
