I tested the sneaking routine, and it does -seem- to work for me as it should be. When I open containers while in sneak mode and trigger a cursed loot event, my characters comes out of sneaking before the items will get equipped. She will then be in regular walk mode after the event.

 

Is this not what you had in mind when you made the suggestion?

 

Also, I tested opening containers in Saarthal and they seem to be properly remembered, too. I also didn't experience any mentionable lag there so far. I will keep testing, though. :)

I can't seem to get the mod to run since I updated and started a clean game. The MCM menu is there and I can change everything, but I have yet been able to get anything to proc when I open a container/chest/body.

Somebody above had a similar issue, which I believe is caused by very heavy script load when starting a new game. Check in the console if your character has three perks, each starting with a DCUR_ prefix. If not, the initialization script didn't properly execute.

Yes that's what I had in mind for sneak, but what was happening was the event would trigger the blur scene happens the items were equipped but at the end of the scene the pc was back in sneak mode. Was there anything in the log to indicate what may be happening?

 

It's odd that we are having such different experiences of the mod. Are you cleaning out the old scripts first with the Savegame tool, the reason I ask is that if you're hotfixing the mod in place sometimes it picks up the attributes of the earlier mod. I came across this in Dangerous Nights which worked perfectly for me but others that just tried overwriting the earlier version had a lot of problems.

 

Except on rare occasions I always clean out the scripts so it's the only thing I can think of to account for the differences. It can't be a mod clash as V1.6 is working perfectly

I don't use a save game tool at all (I don't think they are all that helpful tbh.). And since the sneaking feature was not included before the current version, a version conflict is not all that likely (although not impossible). I will test it with a completely new game, just to make sure.

I've got to the bottom of the sneak problem :)

 

If the pc is unarmed then sneak is cancelled but if she has a drawn weapon then she goes back into sneak.

I can reproduce this this each time and works the same way on both a cleaned and hotfixed game

Haha, that might as well explain it! I tested it only when unarmed (I play magic users more than anything).

 

I will fix that ASAP! :)

Got a bit of a problem,

 

When this was in an earlier build (1.2 I think) I tried it out andthough awesome love it but at the time I was playing with Demonica and obviously there is an incompatability thereso I uninstalled and put this at the top of my list for my next playthrough. hat time has come and I see this has moved on very well and looks to be much better but I cant get anything to happen I dont even get debug messages even though activated in MCM.

 

Now I am sure it is me screwing up somewhere but I have no idea where to start looking for the problem.

 

I am using a UNPB based Ningham female PC.

Started a new game.

Skyrim runs fine it is just this mod seems to be installed but not called.

 

Any pointers as to where to look would be appreciated as there is a total lack of ideas on my part.

 

UPDATE

 

On restarting my game I got a devious devices error saying version not compatable will get a screenie and ask in the approprite thread as I have latest version installed

 

UPDATE II

 

Got error sorted (was using an old version of aroused even though it was named the same as latest version) but still nothing tripping so am back to square one. Have tried using vanilla race too just in case but didn't think that was the issue. It wasn't :(

About Demonica: that mod is completely stand alone, and DD, as well as any other non Demonica mod, is not compatible with it; you can equip DD, the usual armor mods, and even Skyrim clothing and armor, but it won't show on the PC, because Demonica is designed to use only mods that are designed specifically for, and it WILL cause odd things to happen.

 

If you want to use any DD mods, then avoid Demonica altogether until, in the unlikely event, that someone converts DD to be compatible with Demonica.

I can imagine being a bandit, just minding my own business, when all of a sudden a bound, gagged, and blindfolded woman suddenly materialized in front of me. Obviously she had been sneaking, and she was busted by the cursed DD loot, but what a gift for a bandit, all wrapped up like that.

I did some more testing, this time in Kilkreath and I was not able to reproduce the problems I had in Saathal. Some of the quest dungeons do have odd effects and settings (like in Ustengrav in the upper levels) but it may just have just been some glitching. In Kilkreath I set it to 100% and tried reopening the same urn a number of times but it only reacted the once. I even tried leaving and going back to force a cell update and it seemed fine.

 

One suggestion (this one's a bit naughty) would it be possible to hide the "Empty" tag on chests and urns until they've been looked at, opening more urns/chests means more surprises :) . Probably best as an option as not everyone would like the idea

Hey Kimy, thanks for the cool new update!

 

I have a question: A cursed chest managed to give me an 'ebony harness', which could not be opened with the keys that are spawned by cursed loot. It acted like a collar and a chastity belt. Is this intentional? It never happened to me in 1.6.

As far as I'm concerned it's not much of an issue, I got the harness removed in the captured dreams shop just fine. Just thought I should mention this.

Restart the game with as few script-heavy mods as you can get away with, save and quit, add a few more, save and quit, add the rest.

 

The problem is first initialization, IE, you've got all of Skyrim's vanilla stuff and a whole bunch of mods all trying to boot up and register their functions at the same time, which can horribly backfire if they all have to fight eachother for the avalible resources. Start smaller, add more later, it's a good way to start your game of Skyrim.

I keep loading less and less and it still doesn't seem to make a difference. Maybe there's a conflicting mod? I'm not entirely sure.

Just a suggestion, but one thing that might help avoid that issue would be to only setup MCM during initialisation, then ask the user click on a "start mod" button in MCM to setup the majority of init script.  In most cases that delays your mods initialisation just long enough that the papyrus can cope with the load.

The initialization routine of Cursed Loot is anything but demanding. Other than the MCM stuff, it basically adds the three perks to the character and sets one variable. I can add a safety check in another place to make sure the perks are properly set to make the code more robust, though. :)

first of all great mod and it works like a charm... but a little too well though :blush:

 

i set the mcm to only 1 item per container just for testing but the containers alsways wrap me up completly so all possible slots are used (all cuffs gag blind binder belt harness and so on...)

 

i have unchecked the force full set in mcm too...

 

so is this a bug or a feature?

 

edit: the debug msg tells me that its equiping a full set of dd gear... so def not 1 item as the setting in mcm

 

2nd edit: ok i'm an idiot... my char was just way to horny so it would automaticly equip a full set.. sorry for this waste of your reading time...

It's getting odder. I further tested the get-out-of sneak routine (in Saarthal), and even with carrying weapons it seemed to work fine, even with character undressing disabled. I just can't seem to reproduce your issue on my end. What sort of weapons did you have equipped?

It was just a Forsworn sword (smithed to Superior). I tested at Whiterun area (outside of city and by the bridge) and I would have had a spell equipped as well.

 

EDIT: Just ran some more tests it looks like the undress animation doesn't happen if a weapon is equipped, so you get the blur scene, then the message and the pc then just appears still in sneak mode.

I apologise if I've missed something obvious.  I did read the download page but haven't been through the intervening thirty.  Any version I use above 1.3 refuses to equip harness (I know it would just be custom/slave), slave boots or, now, pony boots (I have DDI1.13 installed).

 

I did go straight from 1.3 to 1.6, then back to 1.3, then 4 and 5 and back to 1.3, which still works, and now up to 1.7 which does the same.  Any ideas or just disableuninstallcleansavegamereinstallenable?

 

Thanks for any useful suggestions or insight.

 

This is an utterly essential mod now, thanks for your work on it.

My first guess would be this being caused by some old stuff in your save game. Can you start a new game with 1.7 installed and try if it works then?

All right, so if I understand it right, everything works ok but the DD Expansion items? Can you confirm that all DD mods are updated to the newest version and that DD Expansion support is enabled in the Cursed Loot MCM?

 

If yes, please post a Papyrus log showing a failed event (as in where it should have equipped boots etc and didn't) and I will have a look at that.

I've attached a log of the issue which I hope will shed some light on the problem (I also activated DDi logging as well for this).

 

The log has two game loads of Test2. The first load shows what happens when weapons are sheathed which works correctly. The second load shows what happens when a weapon is drawn, from the screen it looks like it somehow interferes with the undress animation.

 

Maybe a quick fix would be to force weapons to be sheathed at the start of the routine. I could pm you a copy of test2 but unless you have the mods as me it may not even load
