OK so this is what I dicovered:

- The mine quest doesn't work : No quest markers, and I didn't find the NPC I had to talk to.

- I can't get Edie's skooma in the internal affairs quest, but maybe it is because I have a male PC? If it's not that, I guess it's a bug.

- In the arena, nothing happens after defeating the draugr. My PC stands here and nothing happened. And I couldn't use spells nor shouts.

1. Yeah, the mine quest has never worked properly even in my game. That's fine because I'm thinking of cutting it anyway.

2. I'll check the dialogue for that quest. Theres supposed to be two seperate outcomes, one for male, one for female. I haven't tested the male one so I might have made a mistake with that. EDIT: There was no dialogue for males, fixed now. Will be in next update.

3. That's weird, I'll take a look at that now.

Same as Imatterial except none of the jobs trigger for me. The boss says he gives them but then they fail to start. I'll play around with load order and what not...

 

It has to be with the way the quests are triggered from within the dialogue. Playing around to see what works.

 

 

Yeah... I tried again and if you select the arena first it has the same result at Imaterrial (0.0.5b). I'll see if you've uploaded another version now... (Sounded like it with the last few posts...)

I watched the video. Lovely quest.

Although not feel the atmosphere of hopelessness. All walk freely, all is well. Does not feel that the character is trapped and will now be a slave. Even you can go to the master he meets you quite welcome.

I understand that the quest at an early stage of development, then perhaps it would be better.

 

Is it possible to make the situation more grim, and relation to the character more brutal, now he not a person, he thing or pet. Around chained slaves, perhaps many hanging from the ceiling. Some on the pillory, someone tied for disobedience

Something like that.

 

And probably will be more quests. For example, women could make forced into prostitution or to work in a brothel. Or give some related slaves to the party some nobles. Or put them up for auction, where a character can buy some farmer, blacksmith, nobleman, a brothel owner or someone else. Where the slave will work or serve as sex-toy

(I use a translator, I'm sorry for the mistakes)

 

I actually had the same thoughts about this. Of course the main concern now is to get things working, but nevertheless I'll share my thoughts:

 

The prologue is alright so far. You investigate some stuff, Riften is the right place for shady business to take place etc.

 

What irks me a little is that, right after your char wakes up naked in a cell some unknown place you are greeted by Dunmer Superman a mere slave, and afterwards you can freely walk around on some sightseeing-tour, and once you talk to the Master the worst is: He gives you choices what to do! I don't consider that to be much in line with the slavery-topic..

 

Again, I don't want to come across as some idiot who knows everything better or a douchebag trying to force own ideas on a modder, yet maybe once you got your bearings in modding you might overhaul these first steps. For example I think the first person to greet you should be a slaver-guard yelling at you, and you should be cuffed right there, and then dragged to the Master.

 

Then maybe instead of offering you choices the Master would ask you some questions what you did in your past/you were good at, and then HE decides what your tasks would be (Maybe cooking/serving meals for the girls, mining for the lads?). And if you refuse to cooperate and show resistance in your answers - girls get a straight passage to Rapeytown to teach them some manners, guys maybe get send straight to the Arena?

 

Just some thoughts. I think atmosphere is king/queen in such a mod, and the first parts of this story will set the mood for things to come. However, keep working. As you see, a lot of people seem to support you already. I am glad to see this! :)

I haven't tried the mod yet but I agree with the above, setting the right tone at the start I think is very important.

You're right that the atmosphere isn't there. The thing is just that I get the quests working first and then I will be able to start them in any way I want, allowing me to overhaul individual parts.

I'm still going to give the player (limited) choices to avoid constant linearity but to be honest the reason that the PC isn't chained and dragged anywhere is because I'm still learning how to make and incorporate scenes.

2. I'll have a look into the basement trigger, maybe the screen effect wasn't declared.

0.0.5c mostly works for me, happily playing it now, played through the arena quest, no issues and a great area design, I'm doing the Internal quest now. The mining quest doesn't seem to trigger, but you mentioned you might cut it, just thought I'd report it incase. Only things I've noticed so far is that the basement room strips you at the same time the door closes but otherwise works with no issue. Well done for fixing it!

 

With people mentioning the fairly jarring transition to slavery, and if your wanting for ideas once you get to the expanding the plot stage, I think Dark Investigations - http://dark-investigations.blogspot.co.uk/?zx=bcb8f3555d20dd0b handled the whole invincible dragon-slayer to obedient slave side of things in a very "lore-friendly" way, blackmail or coercion works well as a plot hook when dealing with over-powered PC's like the Dragonborn.

 

(had a sneaky peek at the docks area too, looks brilliant, gonna be following this mod eagerly!)

Yeah, I really enjoyed Dark Investigations so I'll consider adding some things like that in the future.

I've just added a poll to the forum page since this seems to be a mod that everyone wants and I want to make sure that I get an idea of what people would like to see in it.

Someone asked earlier about the book with missing textures. It's a porn book using hand-drawn porn from an old Oblivion mod. I got them to work in Skyrim but I'm not sure about the original author and their view on using in other mods so I didn't include them in the mod.

i dont know if it is a bug or if it was wanted, but after i did the arena fight, i got to keep the weapons and clothing which i find a bit odd, cause what would keep me from slaying everyone ? ;)

my suggestion would be to either unequip it, or to make a gate which a security person will only open if you drop the weapons, it would kind of add to the feeling of having to comply because otherwise u will be trapped (and starve to death?)

 

but great mod, really looking forward to do some more testing

0.0.5c works like a charm for me now, too.

 

I've got the following minor issues:

 

1. Prologue - After talking to Keerava, the quest marker above her head does not disappear. It only disappears, when I talk to Silvius.

2. Prologue - The drowsy effect doesn't kick in when entering the basement room. Screen stays normal.

3. Internal affairs - Kal-El respons with the same "she had it coming" dialogue as the rest of the slaves does, when asked about the murder. But I assume it's more of a placeholder than an actual flaw.

4. Internal affairs - Can't find the diary of the murdered slave. The only urns I found where those in the room with the three slaves sitting on the same bench and those were empty.

5. Arena - Quest works fine, but the sex scene for female player characters when collecting your reward doesn't trigger. Don't know if that is implemented yet, though, as the quest is listed as finished.

6. Mining - Quest doesn't start and you can easily get trapped under that wooden scaffolding, causing you to use the tcl command to toggle of collisions.

 

Otherwise, a really good job so far. Keep up the good work!  :)

I would discourage you from going down too deep into Player Choice for now, it is difficult to do well and requires an exponential amount of work.

To prioritize... My opinion is:

 

Better Atmosphere.

Non-sex quests... with a hint of sex mixed in.

 

The player choice should be extremely subtle, with some choices leading to bad ends; if you go that route.

 

The pirate voyage sounds nice too... Always wanted to go on a cruise... Surrounded by people who want to do bad things to me with no way off... :(

Afa, I'm mostly only going to add quest choices. I.e your master tells you that a pirate crew have asked to rent you and so has a rich nobleman. If you've been good then you get to choose which one you do.

Hm...pirate ship reminds me of one of Galgat´s mod for Oblivion, i didn´t like it too much becouse I never liked the mods based on sex repetitions, I prefer subtle adult/sex scenes once in a while, instead of the "fuck 50 bandits to be free" stuff.

I like how you are introducing small amount of sex, it fits my tastes. :)

 

I just tested new version 5c, this time works fine for me quest/dialogs/triggers runs as intended, although mine quest doesnt work (as already said) and the arena one doesn´t trigger the last sex scene with the orc.

 

I think I gonna love your mod, Iam, don´t give up !

Talk to guard in whiterun, quest marker point to barkeep, go to riften talk to barkeep, talk to mage, talk again during night, enter basement room, door close, strip naked, quest complete/update, go sleep in bed.

 

So far so good, but I would maybe suggest quest marker update and stripping does not happen until after player sleeps. Right now it sort of gets ahead of itself a little.

 

Now come a slight issue, anytime you sleep inside slave town you will get port back to the bed you wake up in the beginning with all equipment removed, including the bindings from master if you have any, or any pick ups in arena.

 

Arena quest works, but I think the reward isn't playing (not implement yet?)

 

I am stuck in internal affairs, can't find the diary, all the urns are empty.

 

The world space looks good, binding slowing you down however makes running around a little slow. Nothing major, just an observation.

 

One more thing, the stripping/door closing trigger in the basement trigger regardless of quest status, as long as you walk in the door will close and character gets naked. If you haven't talk to the mage during night time you will get stuck in there since sleeping won't teleport you.

i like this mod concept but can't use it yet. I am getting the dialogue options but the quests aren't starting and i have created multiple clean saves to see if that was my issue but it doesn't seem to fix it

Make sure that you use the latest version, 0.0.5c. That version has been confirmed to fix the opening quest bugs

I realise that the sleeping bug is an issue that needs to be fixed but it's not at the top of my list because there's not any real need to sleep. I'll maybe have a look at it tomorrow.

You will notice in my load order that I do use sexlab dangerous nights but the most recent version has a setting in the mcm to disable it so it shouldn't be to big an issue.

For the arena force equipping a sword, it looks like it is trigger when the player walks through the hallway, it is possible to end up with many copies of the sword if you keep walking through the same spot. That's not a huge issue on its own, however occasionally the force equipping could mess up animation causing the character to unable to attack, ready, unready weapon.

Might be better to just have a weapon rack with weapon near where the player wakes up.
