I never really saw the Ysolda quest as a blackmail quest, myself.  More like tough love since she's into bad things.  I really thought the epilogue with her put it into the correct perspective.  But, you know, maybe it doesn't come across.

 

I guess I'd have to change a few things.  Maybe I'll think about it when I call the mod "Done" since I don't want to support two versions with more character adds.

Yep. It's a roleplay with Ysolda, and not an actual blackmail. After the sex scene she's quite happy with you and your... performance

It he quest A Widow Reborn will not start, then the most likely cause is because the quest cannot fill an Alias.

 

The following characters Must be alive:

- Elisif

- Lisette

- Sybille

- Taarie

- Falk

- Bryling

- Erikur

 

That's the usual cause, dead characters.

I put up a testing version of the Mod with Serana.  Main Page, Downloads. 

 

Easy enough to run through them with SetStage, although you still have to start Dawnguard and get to her in the box.  Check the notes on the Main page also.

 

You can look at her first six interactions and see what you think.  Does it look like it adds anything to a Dawnguard play through? 

 

Give it a look and let me know if you're inclined to.

Haven't checked-in since the last update in February and it's great to see the mod doing well and I'm really looking forward to having Serana being a part of the mod. Getting the dialogue that's appropiate for the situation must be difficult since she a unique voice so, just like the other characters, I tip my hat to you for getting the dialogue to sound as good as it does for all the time spent cutting and pasting, start/stop, etc.

 

Just a couple of quick questions:

-Is Serana going to be a part of the main file as an update, or will that be a separate download? (once her quest(s) are finished)

-This may be a bit early to ask but, any implications about conflicts with mods like "Serana Dialogue Edit" or similar mods? The main mod worked great with "Follower Commentary Overhaul" which is awesome, but I thought I'd ask in case it's something that comes up in the future. (If these issues have already been addressed then please yell and scream at me to go read the answers on another page)

 

Also, a possible suggestion for the mod overall. The new greetings added for the lovers you unlock are really good and it makes the mod feel that much more immersive. After more that happily obliging to the lovers request to stay with them, their dialogue afterwards was the same as it was before. This isn't a bad thing at all (I'm not complaining in the least bit so please don't misunderstand me) but during the quests in which you would sleep with one the characters that person would have a line or two acknowledging what just happened. I don't know the logistics of getting something like this to work unless used in force greet or a part of a quest, as it would be a little strange if you just spoke to the character and they ended the conversation with thanking you for staying with them when all you did was just converse.

If this has already been discussed then please throw me over to that page and I'll get the answer there, again this is not at all a complaint it's just something that came to mind while playing and figured I would bring it up in case now one else has already.

 

A big thanks again for such great mod that took hours upon hours of tedious work to get all those dialogue lines together, it's now become a permanent mod in my load order.

Serana dialogue edit has already been answered, as in most likely not, they're modding and adding separate parts of the dialogue together and will not overlap.

If I get your suggestion correctly, you are saying a little post-coital pillow talk after using the lovers options would be nice.  That's a good idea and I know it's the little touches that make a great mod.  Still sounds like a lot of work for all the voices plus making it more personalized by character.  I'll file it in the suggestion box but chances are slim.

I did find one conflict If you are already married to Serana she will not be where you left her.

And she leave you if she follows you.

The same happens to Ysolda and other that you can be already married to if you pick it up in one game you have played for some time.

 

But after doing the quests they act normal.

Third: For people having problems with Brawls, try downloading the brawl bug patch on nexus, and then in the comment section someone put a file that fix the brawl patch, that works for me :3

Just as an aside, I've seriously considered making a "fade to black" kind or port of this for Nexus.  But I believe even with the removal of the SexLab stuff the mod itself still probably has too many mature themes for that venue.

I second this! I think your mod will be okay on Nexus, consider that the mod is mainly for immersive purpose and doesn't have "unapproved" contents like rape or such. there are several mods with fade to black screen on Nexus like Prostitutes of Skyrim, the prostitutes in Inconsequential NPCs and a quest in Helgen Reborn have black screen with moaning too!

 

btw, I would like to thank you for making this great mod! top-notch quality work! it's probably the only immersive and lore friendly mature mod in Skyrim community.

 

a little criticism if I may, I don't like the concept of "killing dragons weaken my body and I need sex to save Skyrim from them" though. so far I just banged Lydia, I love how the quest went and how it fit well with Lydia's housecarl personality, but I find the reason "you need to have sex with me to help me fight dragons" unconvincing. maybe there is a better/lore friendly/realistic way to crack that tough nut? . I wouldn't ask for a new quest or something fancy, maybe change Dragonborn's dialogue will be enough? making the quests more challenging like require a persuade pass would be more fun, I think.

 

after the business with Serana, will you consider expand the vanilla NPCs? I would love to see Brelyna Maryon (college sex anyone?), Nivenor in Riften (she did offer Dragonborn her company), a quickie with them bar wenches (Narri, Hroki, Karita,Lynly Star-Sung). Too much to ask but I hope you will consider it

If you have a divorce mod you can marry vilja divorce have another wedding , vilja will still consider you as husband. - at least it work on the last vilja version -

Well, I could always go completely the other direction and port it to a version called "Devious Adventures".  There's an audience for everything.  But yeah, I still think the mod is too mature for a Fade To Black port because of the dialogue.  We'll see.  Who knows, maybe I'll do both!

 

Given the ridiculous number of hours I spent on the voices I guess it behooves me to port it to as many versions of personal taste as possible.

 

The Lydia thing - that made sense in the very early versions when killing dragons made the character horny.  Now not so much. 

 

Given how sweet I've made Lydia lately I might have to go back and change that to rescuing a kitty cat from up in Whiterun's big tree or something.

There was a fellow who said recently that both the Ysolda and Sylgja quests were not conservative enough.  Now, if I get that kind of feedback here on Lovers Lab I cannot imagine the withering criticism that awaits on a venue like Nexus.

 

So, yeah, the whole thing would have to change.  Same for a theoretical "Devious Adventures", it would just have to change in completely the opposite direction.

 

Anyways, well see.  Either way it would be a lot of effort and first I'd have to call the mod "Done".

I've enjoyed the additions to Seranas dialogue through the Dragonborn DLC so glad to hear that the two mods will most likely work fine together.

 

Yes, a simple line or two after using the lovers options is what I was meaning to say (sorry if I wasn't clear before) and it may add to the mod in a similar way to when the greetings were added. I know you're busy working on bigger additions and updates right now (I'm really looking forward to the addition of Serana!), and you've probably got many suggestions already so I completely understand if something like this never ends being added, it won't detract from how great this mod is.

If devious adventures is actually a distant possibility...? Then never mind the Nexus, we'll spread the word around places like the Nexus and Shinji certainly helps with his Let's Play. I think the saying goes if Muhammed will not go to the mountain, the mountain will have to come to him. Or in a more western tone, build it and they will come, and you've certainly built it! Go for Devious Adventures instead, you've done all the romance, now let's see if we can take the Ysolda quest and up it a notch. Seducing a married woman (Alahm) and conspiring with her to murder her husband for example would be good for such an avenue, blackmailing Olfina Gray-Mane into your bed, filling Hroki with tales of adventure and romance, then getting her drunk and making her lose her virginity that she was saving for that special person, then just breaking her apart after that and putting her together until she's your obedient little devious lover... so many possibilties!
