Teruke Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Camilla's quest huh? well as female dragonborn would be funny to take faendal and sven for yourself, then tell her "that's what you get for being a stuck up indecisive bitch, men will not wait forever for you to make up your mind".
worik Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 [..] take faendal and sven for yourself [..] I like the "AND" between the names I must confess the idea came to me at that time, too. The female player is first of all the dragonborn, so these two pity village boys should consider themselves honored
hisstoryman Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Loved Carlotta' s quest. It truly.is the most romantic of the ones I have played so far. While the stories for them all are good, many are morally ambiguous to say the least.... not that that is a bad thing.... . This time I felt like I actually did a good thing for a good person. To be fair, much of the Romance genre in and of itself is morally ambiguous. I have heard it said that Romance is simply the plot of a Horror story with the target of the romance being chased by someone cute instead of someone scary. The target of the romance still gets caught, in the end, but for much of it they're running. I present Exhibit A: romance_v_horror.jpg One of these ends in a kiss. One of these ends in a police report. Thanks! EDIT Sorry, I actually have more to say on this subject. Romance doesn't have morals to begin with because people's hearts are mercurial. Carlotta's quest ends that way because of how it is written. It's kind of a feel good story, that's cool. But in Real Life, after going through all that crap for the object of the Romance, Carlotta, she could just as easily have pity fucked the "Hero" then turned around, dumped the "Hero" and made off with that jerk Bard at the Bannered Mare. And that happens. Now, is she immoral? No, because she is just choosing what she wants. There's a psychological dance that happens and different people need different signals. And, this would be a pretty boring Mod if all we did was run around getting teddy bears. And that brings me to the Original Lydia Quest. For all the outrage it generated, the fact is a lot of people respond to the psychological signal the Dragonborn was presenting - which was essentially dominance, where Lydia played the submissive. And that's perfectly valid in the Romance genre too. See: "Fifty Shades of Grey". Anyways, I don't think Romance can be pigeonholed. You are correct in much of the exposition about romance as a genre. I should have said, or defined it as "romance as I define romance." When I said "romantic" I meant it as the old wine and roses romance. It was a nice change of pace from some of the other quests. As for Camilla' s amulet, I didn't think twice about the amulets power. After all one of the first in game quests is to retrieve a Dragon Claw for her brother. Just goes to show, You find the damdest things at a thrift shop.

Jenassa is damaged, Lisette is a free spirit, Ysolda is a quirky hedonist, Lydia is moral but submissive, Aela is a death machine who only respects as much, etc. I do appreciate the feedback on Carlotta story, and I hope you'll tell me what you think about other quests! With the right marriage and adoption Mods, Carlotta and Mila will make the perfect new family for the Dragonborn. And with Bjinn, she's beautiful. But, in the end, everybody's looking for something different, I guess. http://youtu.be/Ema-2SxtxEI
Gulfwulf Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Don't be so hard on yourself, Fox. You've done a great job so far and shouldn't have anything to worry about. Oh, and Carlotta is a total babe now. By the way, what mod(s) would you recommend for marrying Carlotta? And I liked Camilla's amulet because I play on Master and even with it on I still get my ass handed to me sometimes.
FoxFingers Posted March 29, 2016 Author Posted March 29, 2016 Oh, and Carlotta is a total babe now. By the way, what mod(s) would you recommend for marrying Carlotta? I've never used it, but this looks like just the ticket: Carlotta Valentia - Happy Ending Requires Hearthfire. Marry the babe, adopt little Mila, live happily ever after.
crazycow Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 thank you for the best mod  skyrim have many widow please help her

RealCardia Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I'm every time I get within a certain distance of shearpoint or if I'm lucky manage to get to shearpoint and start battling krosis the game CTD's it took me about 2 - 3 hours of constant trying to get as far as Krosis I tried saving every few steps or so but some most of the saves freeze at the loading screen I tried set stageing but all that did was change the text in the journal but the objective was still set as investigate shear point and the quest marker was still pointing to shearpoint so I tryed using the setobjectivecompleted command amd set stage but all that did was change the text in the journal and the investigate shearpoint objective is marked complete but theres no new objective so I tried going to the next objective any way and I got to a certain point I'm not sure were it was in the wild somewere on the way to riften and it CTDed so I reloaded the game rather frustrated at this point and just fast traveled to whiterun stables and got a carriage to riften with the intention of doing the next stage in carlottas quest and/or the next objective in angel of steel but got distracted and started doing the mjoll quest got to the part were I have to talk to maul and just after talking to him the game CTDed on me again so I figured it was time to ask for help here so....Help? Shearpoint is very very graphics heavy and I have watched my GPU's heat skyrocket while up there, especially with an ENB on (I was having an identical issue). Chances are your GPU's fan could be set higher, it isn't cooling as much as it could and when it gets too hot it causes a graphics crash. Download Speccy and then head up to Shearpoint, you'll probably see a noticeable difference in heat. My suggestion is to get MSI afterburner and in the fan speed options, there should be a better profile already built into the program that you can load. I went from 75+ Celsius up there to about 52 (my GPU crashes out around 76-77 degrees). I should note that to totally solve my heat problems I had to load MSI, but I also had to open the side of my computer and put a large, powerful floor fan a couple feet away from it.

VenomousDuck Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Make that 4 now, cheers Fox. You deserve it for the quality of your mod and all the hours of work you have put into it for us to enjoy.
ManofSteel28 Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Hi, I've been trying to download AA, but it only shows up in my zip files, I can't get the plugin to show in NMM. Someone please help!

You deserve it for the quality of your mod and all the hours of work you have put into it for us to enjoy. You guys are nice, and I appreciate it. You know, since were on this topic, With 28 Quests and 3,500 lines of voiced dialogue, I think if Bethesda had put out a "Romance Pack" DLC this size it would have been quite popular. But, then again, if they were better at things then that's what Hearthfire would have been I guess. Thanks!
shardoom Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Official Bethesda 'romance' dlc = Nipple - free amorous adventures? Nah. (unless of course they took their cue from CDP like Bioware did for DOI. When I saw Cassandra's nipple's in that scene I was so oddly excited! Still, can't imagine there'd be much fucking though...) Still, at least they haven't gotten to the stage that they'll remove a 'sexy butt pose' because of some idiot SJW on a crusade in a forum somewhere... (You know, like in overwatch)

Shearpoint? there is nothing exept snow and a dragon.... his skyrim is unstable in general if he ctds all the time he most likly doesnt has enb boost and/or skse memory patch. but checking the gpu head cant hurt.
FoxFingers Posted March 29, 2016 Author Posted March 29, 2016 So, I'm enjoying working on this new Serana quest and I'm looking forward to releasing it some day. Not that I'm posting about that specifically. It's just that this is the first time I've actually gone back to a character and created something that was a continuation of the romance with that character. And that's something new, you know. To be past that phase where maybe it's awkward and the characters must go through the initial process of coming together. Now you have a character that's already your lover and your partner and a new phase happens where you're comfortable with each other and you two are on a new adventure together where the bond is maybe deepening. And that's kind of cool. Makes me wonder if I should just dedicate future quests to giving the player more time with Jenassa, Aela, Elisif, Jordis, etc.

ArgentShadow Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Id say you should make more quest for the existing npcs (elisif,Jenassa,Aela, etc).I'd be interesting to see where you could take them, tha being said though, just do what you wish. The mod only really works because you like what you do so thats up to you.
FoxFingers Posted March 29, 2016 Author Posted March 29, 2016 If they were better at things we all would be playing Fallout 4 by now. Seriously, right. I thought we were done here. I mean, I stopped. I worked on a solid bug-fix release for future generations but that was going to be it. If I had had any inkling of the dumpster fire that was coming, I would have just kept making stuff.
Gulfwulf Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 You know, since were on this topic, With 28 Quests and 3,500 lines of voiced dialogue, I think if Bethesda had put out a "Romance Pack" DLC this size it would have been quite popular. But, then again, if they were better at things then that's what Hearthfire would have been I guess. Thanks! Please. Bethesda is limited by two things: bad writers and having to cater to 13 year-olds and up. One thing Bethesda has never done is write an interesting companion. The ones in FO 3 ranged from okay to great...until you "hired" them, then they just became pack mules. Obsidian did a much better job giving each a story that continued after they started following you in FO:NV even if some of them were a bit cliché, like Boon. Still, even he had an interesting story for those who wanted to follow it; I couldn't imagine myself in his situation... Makes me wonder if I should just dedicate future quests to giving the player more time with Jenassa, Aela, Elisif, Jordis, etc. As everybody else said, do what you want but expanding on the current questlines would probably be a better choice because there isn't much to do with your lover(s) after you finish their romance. Sure they're unlocked and you have an avenue to use SexLab, but it's usually the journey and not the destination that's the most fun. I picked up Annekke so I could do her quest line, then I let her go afterwards because having two Lydias was a bit strange. Yes I know they're different characters but they share the same voice type, so it's difficult to separate them if you can't see who you're talking to.
tweetbotter Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 I would just like that thank you again for this wonderful mod. Page back talk was about Karliah although the Thieve guild quest is a major pain to get through, near the end you get to talk to her and imo the most beautiful sexy voice of hers is the best of all vanilla Skyrim. I'd imagine it wouldn't be practical to make a quest for her as the Thieves Guild quest is quite long and tedious to get through. Thanks again I have never gotten to Karliah despite playing Skyrim since the Xbox-I just cannot get past the initial bullying and petty quests no matter how many times I start. There are some very nice Thieves Guild NPC replacers for men and women too-it is a shame.
