karlpaws Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Okay, so I am playing through Dawnguard (for the first time, so please don't spoil the plot) with Serana. I didn't started the "Exquisite Corpse" quest when I met her. Would be there more opportunities to start romance with her? I just retrieved both Elder Scrolls for Dexion to read and going to give them to him, so I am at "Seeking Disclosure" part of the plot. I can say you have missed the first two Quest entries, so you would be off if you jump started the quest (there are directions farther back in the thread, as several people have asked this question without searching back for the directions). You could either reload a save between leaving the cave and getting to the castle with Serana or download the quest stages file from the first page of the thread and start and setstage the right quests.

bob112 Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 I'm every time I get within a certain distance of shearpoint or if I'm lucky manage to get to shearpoint and start battling krosis the game CTD's it took me about 2 - 3 hours of constant trying to get as far as Krosis I tried saving every few steps or so but some most of the saves freeze at the loading screen I tried set stageing but all that did was change the text in the journal but the objective was still set as investigate shear point and the quest marker was still pointing to shearpoint so I tryed using the setobjectivecompleted command amd set stage but all that did was change the text in the journal and the investigate shearpoint objective is marked complete but theres no new objective so I tried going to the next objective any way and I got to a certain point I'm not sure were it was in the wild somewere on the way to riften and it CTDed so I reloaded the game rather frustrated at this point and just fast traveled to whiterun stables and got a carriage to riften with the intention of doing the next stage in carlottas quest and/or the next objective in angel of steel but got distracted and started doing the mjoll quest got to the part were I have to talk to maul and just after talking to him the game CTDed on me again so I figured it was time to ask for help here so....Help?

Your game has larger problems than this Mod, I imagine. Typically, an issue with Amorous Adventures is going to be related to some particular point in a particular quest. You're crashing all over Skyrim for different reasons. I'm pretty sure the is the first post of its kind I've ever read. Anyways, with that kind of instability the only thing I can recommend is removal of this Mod. Obviously, if that kind of behavior continues it's not this Mod - your game has gone unstable. KRSG Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Ended up starting a New Game to try out Carlotta's Quest.......ended up experiencing one of the most epic/satisfying Boss Fights in a long, long time. Krosis is a Motherfucker, made especially worse as Ultimate Combat gave him the use of a VERY POWERFUL Water Spout Attack. Two kinds of them. The First one, while annoying, is manageable. It starts off in the distance, and you'll hear it long before it'll reach you. Dodging it is no problem. Last quite a bit too long in my opinion, especially with those Area of Effect Fireballs he shoots at you with 95% accuracy....Bastard. It's the other version. This one appears directly beneath you, with little to no warning it's going to appear, and hits you twice in a row with about a second in-between them, not giving you anywhere enough time to properly dodge them, if you just happen to be trying to line up a shot (Archery/Magic) and not moving!! Several hours, quicksaves, resets, and reloads to better strategize is what it took to finally bring the little shit down. Even brought a companion with me for Round 2. Round 1 lasted most of the night (real world night) and some of the morning. By myself, once I was able to bring him down to 50% health and even then I had to abuse the sneak mechanic to gain a 2x or 3x damage multiplier. And then I ran out of arrows. Round 1 - Krosis. Round 2. I wake up a handful of hours later, I do my morning rituals, I drink my coffee, eat some breakfast, then log back in. Reload a Save before leaving Whiterun and pick up Uthgerd. Give her a better Sword, a Bow, and around 150 total arrows, stock up on Potions, unfortunately no Fire Resist, and trek back to the mountain. Within sight of the coffin, I ready an arrow and awaken the nightmare. He arises, I shoot, he summons his stupid Frost Atronach, and I shoot him again. I shoot Frosty to lead him away from Uthgerd while she wittles Krosis down and take care of him. Save, rejoin the fight. Arrows are flying, Fireballs are exploding, Uthgerd goes down every now and then, but is quick to rejoin the fight. Water Spouts are enducing panic attacks, Saves are being created, and Loads are being Loaded. For a couple of hours this song and dance continues, he gets down to about 35% health, then the Weather joins in. A Blizzard appears. It gets dark, very dark. Snow is harshly blowing, blurring the vision at several intervals. Skyrim's battle music is blaring in the background. As the light fades, the only way to even see Krosis is because of his Fire Cloak. Even he seems to pause as the Blizzard sets in. Soon enough we remember each other. Save, Notch an Arrow, and we begin again. The battle is long hard. The terrain is quickly master. Waters Spouts are still one shotters, but quick saves and loads keep the pace moving. Eventually, with the snow blowing fiercely, the sky as dark Krosis's soul, the heaven's music singing as two Titans clash, the Furious shout of a Warmaiden sings through the air. Then the camera zooms in on Malakai, an arrow is released which embeds itself into Krosis's Skull. The Fire Cloak dissipates as Krosis's Cloak turns to dust. The Lich Falls, the Knightmare is over. Save. Bit of a story here, but thanks to your mod, I experienced the most epic feeling of triumph with this game ever. So thank you for that. As always Carlotta's Story was very well put together. The next fight with Rahgot was no where near as epic I'm afraid. Both Uthgerd I were a great deal stronger, with much better equipment. He didn't stand a chance. I really like how Mila is interwoven in the plot. She can be a little sweet.If one thing can be changed, after completion of a character's quest, the Dragonborn being given a key to their home. After completion of the quest the characters pretty much allow them to get away with anything, might as well give them option of coming and going when they please. Either way, thoroughly enjoying this mod as usual. Jenassa's is absolutely my favorite and combined with Bijin Warmaidens is my absolute favorite follower. Looking forward for more to come.

Also, you might try cleaning your saves. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31724/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/? welp I've used both of the tools you put links to and I've gone through my list of mods and gave them a clean with TES5Edit and for a bit it seemed to work I died a bunch to the dragon at shearpoint because he cheated and called in friends (thank you dragon combat overhaul) finally managed to get to the top of shearpoint defeated krosis, and then played hunt the objective as it had been oh so helpfully hidden by one of the dragons mid battle, narrowed it down to a small patch of trees couldn't see it of the ground so I guessed that it was somehow up the tree then the game crashed tried reloading a few times and the game crashed or CTDed during combat each time tried removing your mod and the game CTDed once more while fighting the dragon. is there anyway to know 100% that my game has gone unstable and a way to fix it?

As it stands, I've downloaded it now and it's probably for the best. One question. In Camilla's quest, once completed, she will gives a Special Item. Did you have any plans for any other characters to do the same? Just curious. I have completed Ysolda and Carlotta's quest and am starting Sylgia's and her Mother's. Winterhold is after. Cheers!

If you haven't already, I would recommend reinstalling whatever Skeleton mods you have. Most of the recent crashes I've have been because of Skeleton issues. Also double check your Mods and Settings. It might be a Ram issue or missing Master File.
FoxFingers Posted March 27, 2016 Author Posted March 27, 2016 I'm every time I get within a certain distance of shearpoint or if I'm lucky manage to get to shearpoint and start battling krosis the game CTD's it took me about 2 - 3 hours of constant trying to get as far as Krosis I tried saving every few steps or so but some most of the saves freeze at the loading screen I tried set stageing but all that did was change the text in the journal but the objective was still set as investigate shear point and the quest marker was still pointing to shearpoint so I tryed using the setobjectivecompleted command amd set stage but all that did was change the text in the journal and the investigate shearpoint objective is marked complete but theres no new objective so I tried going to the next objective any way and I got to a certain point I'm not sure were it was in the wild somewere on the way to riften and it CTDed so I reloaded the game rather frustrated at this point and just fast traveled to whiterun stables and got a carriage to riften with the intention of doing the next stage in carlottas quest and/or the next objective in angel of steel but got distracted and started doing the mjoll quest got to the part were I have to talk to maul and just after talking to him the game CTDed on me again so I figured it was time to ask for help here so....Help? Your game has larger problems than this Mod, I imagine. Typically, an issue with Amorous Adventures is going to be related to some particular point in a particular quest. You're crashing all over Skyrim for different reasons. I'm pretty sure the is the first post of its kind I've ever read. Anyways, with that kind of instability the only thing I can recommend is removal of this Mod. Obviously, if that kind of behavior continues it's not this Mod - your game has gone unstable. Also, you might try cleaning your saves. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31724/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/? welp I've used both of the tools you put links to and I've gone through my list of mods and gave them a clean with TES5Edit and for a bit it seemed to work I died a bunch to the dragon at shearpoint because he cheated and called in friends (thank you dragon combat overhaul) finally managed to get to the top of shearpoint defeated krosis, and then played hunt the objective as it had been oh so helpfully hidden by one of the dragons mid battle, narrowed it down to a small patch of trees couldn't see it of the ground so I guessed that it was somehow up the tree then the game crashed tried reloading a few times and the game crashed or CTDed during combat each time tried removing your mod and the game CTDed once more while fighting the dragon. is there anyway to know 100% that my game has gone unstable and a way to fix it? Well, you know, I don't know anything about your rig or what mods you use or what you have done to the load order of your game over the life of your play through. And, if you told me, I personally could not help you. I am a developer that's been running the same shit since 2014 pretty much. I am the wrong person to help you. That said, there are a host of Skyrim stability guides out there. You have to make judicious decisions about what to put in your game. You can't stuff everything into your load order because Skyrim is a fragile, beautiful butterfly. You'll crush it if you squeeze too hard. Anyways, pro modders are gonna be more help. I'm a lowly developer. My load out is built for stability - not immersion or fun. Thanks!

Did you have any plans for any other characters to do the same? Just curious. Some users HATE that there are a couple places in the Mod where the player gets a reward, and have written to tell me as much. That said, I don't plan on adding any other ones. People complain about Camilla and Lydia's reward, both. Nobody complains about Elisif's reward... I guess everyone figures they deserved something for that one. The reason I put them in are completely self-serving. They fit with my play style at the point I typically want them. Thanks!

Kinda strange to me, but a couple folk have really been irritated by getting a quest reward. It wasn't meant to be "Monty Haul" - just a useful memento of a lover. Just like real life. I guess the issue is they actually are fairly useful and some people are very sensitive about difficulty tuning their game. Oh Foxy, your rendition of Faralda-Nirya rivalry is mindblowing! To bo honest with you, I kinda like it as is right now, because it leaves a room for more (imagination exploding) And don't listen to fools who complain.. You are doing a great favor to our community by filling empty void of inter-NPC relationships Bethesda has blatantly left behind, and we shall appreciate your great effort. Keep up the good work and don't be swayed by peer pressure! BTW I know this has been said by many people and I know you don't particularly find the Theives Guild story intriguing, but I still recommend you to play thru the Theives Guild quest and meet Karliah, the lovely solitary dunmer. She is the direct descendant of the Queen Barenziah, but she also has Indoril(of Nerevar) family's blood in her. Such interesting pedigree.. Her story is very melancholic and full of revenge, and I think she deserves more "love" than what vanilla offers.
