Yes, that is an old reference - I haven't tried the new RP so I cannot make the claim that they are definitively compatible.

 

But assuming the new RP is using a compatible version of JContainers, then it should work. JContainers has always been the issue of contention.

so after trying out some lesbian animations i noticed theres no text for it but when choosing to ride a female npc with my female character the apropos dialogue is about how she's using a strap on.so are there no dialogue for non strap on lesbian animations?

I've tried looking through the pages to see if anyone else had any similar problems, couldn't really find any. But with certain canine animations like Panic Consensual, fun, spooning, and other unique canine animations, their unique Apropos messages within the .txt files are not playing. Just the basic tags. Oral animations are not displaying messages at all. How could I fix this?

Now, are you concerned about messages that don't show that correspond to log entries of "Could not find", or something bigger?

Because in some of the cases below, Apropos searches in "Loving" and "Slutty" themes, and doesn't find the file it is looking for, then falls back to the non-themed (root) folder.

In other cases it appears that the file is truly missing, usually a higher stage # or something. For example, FemaleActor_wolf_Anal_Stage5.txt.

Also, be aware that if you are using MNC SLAL edition - the names of some of these animations have changed.  This has been brought up in the thread elsewhere along with what you need to do to fix it.  I don't believe the database provided in the Apropos download has been updated to use these new names.

Yes, that is correct. It doesn't universally apply to all animations. There are two "systems" in Apropos - tagged based descriptions, and unique animation descriptions (which actually still uses some tag detection).

 

As time as gone by, new types of animations have shown up - ones that Apropos never considered. For instance, Male on Female Creature, Male Creature on Male Creature. The logic for detecting these scenarios is either missing, or deficient.

 

Then, the descriptions have not been authored. They are actually human-created, and triggered by Apropos. Apropos doesn't synthesize them - but rather finds placeholders in the text files where variations can be inserted - variations on voice (1st, 2nd person, etc), w&t, and synonyms (pussy instead of vagina, etc).

Hey gooser,

 

Just as a request to add to The List for the new Apropos whenever it comes out, would it be possible to have races as a possible filter in the filenames?

 

e.g.,

 

FemaleActor_Male_Vaginal_Stage1.txt = Female cowgirls Male

FemaleOrcActor_Male_Vaginal_Stage1.txt = Female Orc dominates male

 

Then we could put in race-specific themes which would be handy for distinguishing the things that happen with beast races, like matted fur with a khajiit, or accidentally poking yourself or swallowing drool from the orc's dog teeth while kissing, etc.  Heh.

You can try using Apropos Edit (https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/3004-apropos-edit/) to help streamline things.  I just like to do edits manually since I usually copy/paste/delete things rather than write new comments, but it seems to work fine.

 

Always found the most common things I'd screw up are -

 

1. Making sure the .json file is not screwed up with a missing comma/bracket ect.  Using a .json validator helps with this.

 

2. If adding unique animations - adding the name to the unique animations file.

 

3. *MOST IMPORTANT AND EASY TO MISS* - copy any changed files to all of the "theme" folders with data in them.  Example if I change FemaleActor_Male lines in the main database, I make sure to copy that folder to the resistant and slutty folders and overwrite the old files.  Only exception here would be if you actually use themes, which I don't think most people do.

I must confess that (after years) i'm still a bit confused how I have to read the Wear &Tear MCM settings correct.:classic_blush:

So finally time to ask:

  • Frequency set to 1 hour
  • chance of degrade to occur 10%

Does that mean:

  • Each hour, the dice is rolled?
  • I have a chance 1 out of 10 to get W%T reduced?
  • One dice for all 3 stats? Each stat seperately? Only one stat?

Second thought:

The "healing" stuff is designed to heal absolute numbers. Right? Wouldn't  "percentage" numbers be a better idea? Just a thought?

All three stats are considered as a set.

 

Please elaborate what you mean by percentage numbers.

A slider set to 20 would heal 20 in absolute numbers. Right? Resulting "W&T" would be 180.

My thought was 20 in % numbers. In that case the resulting "W&T" would be 160.

 

At first glance it might only look like a game of numbers, but at higher W&T levels it scales with the higher numerbs and has noticable effects again.

 

Is that practical?

Seems like a way to heal W&T very quickly.

 

You are also not considering the degrade factor, which calculates the actual "heal" amount per pass.

Yes, I left that out. My thought was primarily in the direction of no-natural-healing but ingrediant-based-healing-only.

That's where I found the "%" approach more appealing as the "absolute number".

And it's efficiency would of course depend on where the slider is set.

0 -> forget it

As the mod is currently designed, I can easily rely on the natural process. And with that, the ingredients are not relevant enough to care for. That's the way I play now.

But I was thinking about the different style with the focus on ingredients to heal.

That's why I ask :smile:

Not sure why it would matter if the ingredients healed a % of your wear or an absolute value.  The system has a user-set maximum damage cap and the wear levels have specific damage amounts per level.  I personally have spider eggs healing 50, and skooma healing 100.  Carrying around a few bottles of skooma means I can usually heal myself out of W&T effects immediately if I get my character into a bad situation like being defeated by giants ect.  If you find spider eggs don't heal enough to be useful for you, IMO try bumping up the value so that each spider egg can heal 1 level of abuse.

This mod request relates to another mod as it affects yours, "Nausicaas Tweaker".

Occasionally, usually on quests, speed and jump-height are very important, so of course I cheat tons and set Player's speed to max or so, and she jumps as high as superwoman.

But The tweaker never goes back down to less than 100% of speed.

 

I don't know if there's a way, but let's say your mod applies the effect of reducing player's speed to -30%,

if it reapplied that debuff once every couple hours (reapplied, not added or subtracted), it would help cheaters like me.

OK it sounded better in my head but it would be more fun, I swear.

Alternatively I could just find out the global you're using to reduce speed, but I'm not sure that wouldn't mess something up worse.

so instead of speed=speed -30,

it could be  speed=100; speed=speed-30 (or maybe) if speed>100, speed=100; speed=speed-30

From my own experience, there's a certain mod, (PSQ Succubus Quest) I believe, that has an option to treat females as males when a schlong is equipped on them, this in turn causes Apropos to draw from the male section of descriptions when your own futa character has sex with a female.
