i feel the inverted nipple is broken and dont do what it should.  it doesn't create the effect that is in real life or what most think of when they hear inverted.

the hole nipple should go inside the breast and the Aerola should overlap the nipple, ofc the slider should be all between being exposed to being completely hidden with only a slit of Aerola. 

 

the effect right now is moving the inner part of the nipple inwards, but not the hole nipple. so it looks like the nipple got a hole in it of some kind.

 

i dont know if you can even do that effect in Bodyslide, but i was just really disappointed by the effect that is there ATM with the inverted nipple slider since i really love inverted nipples in general.

 

 

im sorry for the criticism, but i just want this mod to be perfect and in good standing, tho i have no idea where to start with that. i observe. comment and report on what i think.

 

You clearly need to experiment more, as a HUGE fan of nipples... Ok ill stop there.

 

I just wanted to point out that as with body's in general no two are the same. "inverter nipples" can have a few different Styles.

"Nipple - invert" simulates one of those. you can use a multitude of the different sliders to make a multitude of diffirent look's.

 

Try combining it with "breasts - no nipple" for the Deep nipple look.

Maybe add "Nipple - Squish" for the closed effect.

 

EDIT: Also another things some people still don't seem to know is the number field (%) next to the slider is a fully editable box. you can change the number manually to numbers beyond the sliders limits.

 

If you want I can show you a few examples and what numbers i used.

Criticism's fine, especially if it's detailed and not about something that was answered or talked about a few posts back :P

 

Interesting notion, Chances are you could probably make a slider have that effect (albeit some texture stretching/awkwardness for sure)

 

I'll see if I can model something like what you ask, but again don't expect any miracles xD

would be very helpful, would make it much easier, immediate and accurate design an ideal body, exactly as you would like..! :blush:

what do you think of this: take the XPMS skeleton (or whatever it is) that bodyslide uses, and pose it. Say, put it in a frame of an idle position and save it. Then use that save in bodyslide. Would that alter the preview mesh?

 

Because the default position isn't much for accurately showing how the mesh will look in game.

I don't deal with skeletons or animations.

They are beyond me unfortunately :(

 

Also, I do not think you can just change reference poses that easily.

Exported outfit conversions and stuff could become messed up or animations not work correctly etc....

 

Since Skyrim uses the default A-Pose which is absolutely terrible and inferior to the T-Pose (Or Da Vinci pose for you artists)

If your only reason not to get Autodesk products is because of 'cost' then your just lazy.

I'm sorry if I'm misplacing my anger but I've seen enough of these 'Ohh, 3dsMax is expensive, can't get it for free or if you do your a pirate!'

Enough to make me start some unrelated rant thread with the title 'STOP LYING ABOUT HAVING TO PAY FOR AUTODESK PRODUCTS'

 

Autodesk provides ALL their software for FREE from their own website with the only liitation being you cannot sell things created with it.

If your only excuse for not trying 3dsmax is because 'I have to pay' that is NOT a LEGITIMATE EXCUSE.

 

However, if your excuses are:

1. Your too lazy -> This is what I suppose 90% of the people who use the 'have to pay' excuse. You can just simply say this don't try to hide it.

2. Not in my language -> It has support for EVERY major language there is. Meaning if you can read any skyrim related websites, 3dsmax is in your language.

3. You find it inferior to other 3D pacckages -> Nothing I can do about this. And TBH a fair excuse really.

4. You don't have time/interest -> Fair enough, modding is a hobby and not for everyone. However if you want something done right, your going to have to do it yourself.

 

You'll have to forgive me Iuki, I mean no malice to you or to anyone really. I just wanted this post to serve as more a PSA type of thing because their are relatively few things that tick me off. But the 'pay for autodesk' excuse just really ticks me off everytime for some reason and I just have to speak up about it.

Also... it's just the skeleton that bodyslide uses. There's a copy in the res dir I think? Consequently, it will not affect anything in game. It's only used for show. 

 

Maybe we can talk one of the max pros into doing it for science?

xD, the reason why Bodyslide uses that skeleton is so it can automatically align meshes as well as manipulate skinning (bone weights) on them.

 

What you ask for is probably do-able, but you would have to make sure that there are no weight changes done to outfit. (Can't use Bones tab)

Other than that, in theory it would be fine to do as you ask.

 

But yea, dunno if it's really worth it.

 

I just use max exclusively nowadays and have left the world of Outfit Studio behind me :P

It's fairly easy to load up an animation in max and do 'live previews' that way, so you can see how it'll look like while being animated as well and can fix weighting issues.

 

Eventually I get the darned script done to make those xml project files.

There are more options then student, unemployed, learner etc. Technically Autodesk want anyone to learn their products so they dominate the market ("student" is just a really really old name for it). The only ones to pay are the one sell stuff and make money with autodesk's software.

when creating an account you have 3 choices "student", "mentor" and "faculty"

Student and mentor lead to two options "secondary" and "collage/university"

 

that is all there is to choose.

 

EDIT: Ok i feel a little dumb right now, i expected more..

I just put in some fake details and I was able to sign up, am I dumb for expecting better? i'm not a fan of lying...

Let's not get into a pointless argument about semantics here.  We know why Autodesk is doing this and clearly their definition, based on the user registration requirement which is all that matters, a "student" is anyone who wants to use the product to "learn" how and what one can do with it and any commercial activity will void one's status as a "student".  If Autodesk wants some kind of academic qualification they certainly would ask for it.  For example, to get Miscrosoft's education discount one simply needs have a qualified email account registered with a qualified academic institution.  However, for identically named eduction discount in Tigerdirect one must provide a billing account from a qualified academic institution.        

 

EDIT: I have no intention of using 3ds Max because the learning curve is simply too steep for me but Autodesk clearly stated in their web site that a "student" is someone who has "enrolled" in a qualified academic program.  It says nothing about whether this person needs to be currently paying a tuition.

Big corporations are not stupid when it comes to collecting money.  A long time ago when I was in school Microsoft required a current student ID to get its eduction discount and we had to jump through hoops to get them like needing a letter from student affairs office if it's near the end of semester.  I don't know when but apparently Microsoft has resorted to just asked my alma mater to give them a list of email addresses.  I found that out when I bought my Windows 8.1 license.

Have you tried the preview big and small buttons on BdSl 2.0? They may not be real time but you can see the changes before you use the "Create Bodies" button.

Yeah it wouldn't be worth it for OS, but for previewing in the slide app. hips always look weird because it's not at all a usable position. T either for that matter. But a normal idle stance, or running or crouch . . . 

 

Of course, switching between would be awesome, but that aint much happening either.

 

As for animations in max, I was never EVER EVER able to get an animation loaded properly. there were always problems for me. I mean i could get thru the process, but then the animation was always fucked up. If I cared enough, I'd do a video... but I haven't opened the dame thing in like 2 years.

I use a combo for all armor conversions personally. Direct nif manipulation. Outfit and Clothing Convertor by Gerra6, 3DS max for complicated conversions, OS for minor clipping issues. Works out well for me.

I need help. After installing the v2.0 beta, my first person hands no longer fit the arms. I don't see any other comments about this so I must have messed something up. I did install the new skeleton. I don't see any custom 1st person meshes in the CITRUS download, are there separate 1st person meshes? I'm confused.

Just to quell this whole issue:

 

Autodesk does not care if your not really a student or if you put 'false' information before taking your download.

They ONLY care that you use their free version for non-commercial applications only.

 

It supposedly states somewhere that the information you provide to them is used as survey data and NOT actually verified in any form.

They simply use it for statistics and feedback I guess.
