Modding Skyrim for an adult playthrough, however i need to clean Papyrus from any errors along the way to ensure that LL mods work flawlessly.

You can say that again. I have a new machine since September last year. I spent two weeks installing just the basics following Aylis' guide. It's mid-May next year and I still am to set things the half-way I used to have on my old machine. I have been postponing it for that long, since I know how much work it takes and it just drains all my motivation. Took me 2 years to achieve a somewhat satisfactory result last time. This time it'll probably be even longer. At least the "basic" look I have now (1500 mods and 800+ plugins) looks much better than what I had previously with fourth of the load order.

If you are using Vortex, make a private collection of your build. You will still have to manually add LL and other non-Nexus mods, but that will cut down on 99% of the time and effort. Especially since it remembers fomod settings

No point. Not only did I switch to a brand new machine, I also switched from 1.5.97 to 1.6.1170. I redid entire load order from scratch with 4k-8k textures exclusively and a shitload of mesh overhauls I could never afford to run on a 15-year old 3rd gen i5 with an ancient GTX960 to boot.

And I'm not a fan of collections. When I install mods, I want to know EXACTLY what it is I install. I do actually read entire descriptions before I download any single mod.  That's why it takes so much time, when I have to start over. 90% of that time is spent reading.

Well, that is why I said to make your own collection - you will know exactly what is in it because it is what you installed.

Obviously, you will need to manually build it the first time - my suggestion was to then create the collection so if you need to start over in the future, you will already have much of it built.

Heya!

So i have been reading alot.

Spoiler

Read through so many LL pages i think my eyes will fall off.

On 7/31/2025 at 12:44 AM, JessicaLuvx said:

...And i still want survival, but maybe i should have installed it at a later stage.

Do you remember when i said this? For the past few weeks (since our last interaction) i have not added anything major to the modlist. Only things like MuDynamicNormalMap and potential custom fixes/patches or learning how to use the PG patcher. The whole loadorder as a concept, i think came about after i saw what SL Survival had to offer. Its ideas pulled me right into it. So i started to study it.

Read through its description multiple times, to make sure i know which mods are incorporated into Survival or at least the mods that i would like to use. The thing about this mod is that its exactly the same situation as BaboDialogue one. Its a massive mod, that requires the proper environment to function. So i dig.

Im not at the stage of adding Survival yet. But i am preparing for it. Here is a list of things to tweak and patch once i decide to add Survival to the list.

---------

The list with pages below are from the main LE SexLab Survival thread (too lazy to link all the pages separately) and are gathered exactly after the release of the latest BETA of SL Survival 0.685 to the most recent posts

SSE Survival 0.685 key points from the thread.

  • Page 476 - licbikinicurse.pex script fix for The shout Dragon Aspect from the Dragonborn DLC + vanilla bug female exclusion from bounty
  • Page 479 - instructions on how to disable AheagoFaces & tongues
  • Page 483 - PSQ patch for bikini curse
  • Page 491 - fixed script for “after being caught stealing if they say they will add devices nothing happens”
  • Page 494 - “Is there a way to disable the headtracking?” - Wheel - misc - debug - look at debug - set is npc 0
  • Page 498 - guards where they say they are "taking some of my stuff", but they actually don't - solution by Bane Master
  • Page 501 - contains a escort list with males
  • Page 507 - make the kennel keeper essential
  • Page 509 - “Zaz items will be filtered automatically next version. You should be able to add it as an exception. Same as others.”
  • Page 512 - solution to baths in inns don’t count as part of a city (for licence dodging)
  • Page 515 - fixed SLS_Utility.pex script for FHU stomach pool.
  • Page 519 - some sort of fix for magic items - not available
  • Page 527 - less punishing orgasm fatigue patch
  • Page 531 - “The Bikini Breakdown recipes are broken with the newer versions of TAWOBA. Don't use them”
  • Page 532 - has bikini keywords patch
  • Page 534 - info on how the bikini armour works and how to implement it
  • Page 33 of Sexlab Survival SE by Corsair - potential fix to the enforcer ctd bug (should be included in .685)
  • Page 60 of Sexlab Survival SE by Corsair - NymphoElf shares bikini breakdown recipes for SSE different bikini versions
  • Page 57 of Sexlab Survival SE by Corsair - possible ctd reported.
  • Page 61 of Sexlab Survival SE by Corsair - instructions to fix vampire race (non sls related)
  • Page 90 of Sexlab Survival SE by Corsair - possible fix for/if cum swallow not working.
  • Page 92 of Sexlab Survival SE by Corsair - Bathing in Skyrim Renewed patch

Again i went through these pages multiple times to make sure i have caught up to speed with the mod, as much as i can of course. There are also many comments with more in-depth information about how the mod works and many people with different feedback about it in there.

I really don't claim to know anything more about it than the average user, I just collected the information that felt like it would be important. Although by the end of it, i was seeing questions from users like "how do i not stare at NPCs junks?!" or "nothing happens when using the beg for cock option" or my absolute favorite one "Why is papyrusUtil out of date!?" - all of these "level 1" questions i already know the answer to and how to handle them.

I can only imagine what it was like for Monoman1 or safado to answer the same stupid questions every single day.
I barely have 3 or 4 hours in SL Survival, but Thank you Monoman1, Corsayrnomkaz and safado, surely there are more people that helped, thank you to all of them as well.

I just want to say thank you to @belegost. I have been following your "moves" on the site, as i think you are very well experienced user, and have generally good knowledge on how mods work. Always asking the right questions and pointing to actual problems (not like me in this thread... oof). Thank you for your time spent in talking and reading this post.
But i hope i dont get destroyed by your

So in the past few weeks, yes i did some modding in the sense of moving mods around, changing a couple of values in xEdit, and making a personal patch for the wall that is blocking the way to the sewers in Windhelm, but i feel like im not "moving" anymore. Meaning im not actually learning how to troubleshoot even deeper.

(Just as a side note: I ended up removing Northern Roads...i did patch that one navmesh in Riverwood, yea and decided to leave the rest for another time when i can actually spend it and fix as much as i can. BUT i did the vanilla quest with Delphine, where she takes you to a dragon she knows is around and of course i decided to go along with her, and not just teleport. The PAIN and SUFFERING that i had to endure of watching her struggle on SOOOO many places, on that one singular path. I think i had everything correctly set up for it to work, sure i had so many other patches for it with other roads or whatever, but  no misaligned textures, everything blended really nicely... it was only this navmesh issue.  Thoughts came right away - do i really want to fix this, or just have normal vanilla roads. Once i removed them the walk from Riverwood with Delphine to the dragon went from 15 mins of struggling to 5 min walk in the park. And the roads are not that bad at all. I dont think they (Northern roads textures) were that worth compared to the vanilla base roads. Base roads are good.)
Anyway, i got the knowledge i needed from Northern Roads...

And we have come to @jfraser.
After playing the game for a bit. Reading soo much on LL for the Survival mod. And seeing how many people are actually capable of even the slightest recompile of a script (multiple times in those pages either people are saying they have recompiled a SL Survival script, or Monoman instructs them to "Edit _SLS_whateverscript"), it just got me thinking that maybe i should just learn Papyrus.
That thought came to me exactly before i opened to read this. The way that jfraser was describing how he ended up creating one of the most memorable mods (for me for sure) was just fascinating to say the least. What i was looking at was the first steps of a veteran - steps that Im thinking/should be taking myself right now - "moving".

I didnt know that you created Simple Slavery, I didnt know it was you who created Slaves of Tamriel. All i can say is that you are someone that i look up to im extremely grateful that you are here. Thank you for your work!

And to both of you @jfraser and @belegost. Im here, amost... actaully a full year after came back to mod my game, but trying a little harder this time. I still have so much work on the Skyrim build and so much to learn. I cannot imagine a world right now that i would have to start this Skyrim build again from the top. All of this work that even some of you guys here did to help me would be disrespectful to scratch and start all over again. Just to realize that i have to face the same problems, troubleshoot things that i already have fixed.

I guess if there is a newer version of Skyrim, and everyone is playing it, then ill have to start again from the top. And not even the top. I have the build here. Like a checklist.

So i understand that it takes alot of time and set up. I mean i had build other builds in that past.

On 7/17/2025 at 1:36 AM, jfraser said:

...so i will not be following your fine example XD

Chasing after every papyrus error is not realistic.  Not a very  good way to learn more about it , sure, but still a way, i guess? (at the very least at the start. xd)
I might have done crazy shit with xEdit and CK or whatever, but in reality im still a noob.... /cry

Reading through so many comments on the site also made me think about how i form my comments for better visibility.

My TOP priority is fixing this papyrus stack dump, that i have noticed happening while there is a big battle.

At first i thought it was something related to dragons, because it was happening only when a dragon was attacking. But, there was an assassin sent to kill me, i think, in Riften and when the
citizens helped me kill him, a smaller stack dump appeared, exactly how it was happening with the dragons. Which leaves me to believe this is happening when there is a big battle with many NPCs.

Ill leave two papyrus logs. The first one Papyrus.0ForLL.log  is from a 4-5 hour session. In it you can find the stack dump happening during big battles. Many UD entries that only leaves me to believe its something with Unforgiving Devices and its set up.

I wanted to leave only one question but i think i can squeeze another one which i think/hope is a smaller one.

The second papyrus log Papyrus.0.log presents another stack dump. However this is happening in a very different situation. Stack dump appears when i sell a bunch of DD items to Laura in her shop. Discovered this very recently. Sold to her before, but it was always up to a max of 5 DD items. Last time i have about 20+ which i wanted to sell and discovered this stack dump.

Reference: LuvxModList.txtLuvxloadorder.txt

Most of the other stuff in my game i can fix (i think), but these stack dumps.
I need help for them.

❤️ I love you all!

I would get worried if a 4 to 5 hour session would come up with a 170 mb log file. If you google I am pretty sure you will find a thread that says that stack dumps could be harmless. Ergo, as mentioned before, if you see weird behavior afterwards (which btw is an oxymoron since the game has been programmed by Bethesda), then I would start looking at trying to fix things. Easiest way to get rid of stack dumps is to disable logging. Ignorance is bliss.

Eh? Who dares disturb my slumber?

Lass, I do not even comprehend how HELLO WORLD works, yet you put me in the same category as people who can actually script and make mods. All I did was have too much time on my hands and a crippling addiction to porn. You're doing some very talented people a disservice by making one such as myself an equal to giants.

I said what I said, because I find your activity here helpful. I wanted to express my gratitude and I did. I’m sorry if it came across like I’m disrespecting someone! But I’m grateful for anyone’s help!

I never thought you were a modder simply based on your comments. But I don’t know anything about you except your profile page, so I guess the possibility of you being a modder is not that far fetched.

You are building mod lists, tweaking and optimising the game - you are doing what I’m doing. Surely your time spent doing that is more than mine (you have been way waay more active here. I remember your profile since 2021 I think).

So, wouldn’t you agree that, I can learn from your experience even if you are not a modder. And If I do learn something, the very least I can do is thank the person and credit them for the knowledge I have acquired.

wtf did I just write xd

im just really curious about how would y’all react to this message btw

A stack dump appears and you cannot ever recreate it or trigger it again - then yea, i wont chase after it. But this is consistent, Every single dragon battle, that involves more than ? number of NPCs trigger it. I even spotted it happening without a dragon like i said above. So its not one of those "it crashed, but it was one time thing".

Same as Laura. I checked multiple times to se if the stack dump happens. And, yes. It happens every time i sell to her more than ? number of DD items to her.

Omg.

Quick feedback on Papyrus.log

You have 35 invalid calls, apparently due to missing script files.

You have 38 direct warnings indicating that scripts are definitely missing.

You have numerous indications of missing ESP and even the wrong Skyrim version.

Start at the top of the log with research and a correct installation.

My advice:

1 - Do not install or uninstall mods in an existing save. If absolutely necessary, clean the save afterward with Fallrim.

2 - Do not install mods without carefully reading the description. This also applies to "required" mods.

3 - Check the load order with Loot. Loot will also show errors if master files are missing, etc.

4. - Run FNIS and read the warnings.

Quick feedback on Papyrus.log

Thanks!

Are you referring Papyrus.0.log or Papyrus.0ForLL.log?

Because if it is just Papyrus.0.log i did remove DynDolod before generating that log with the intent to continue working on the loadorder without having to deal with it. Im not planning to use that save anymore. I have been creating Dyndolod for a couple of play tests so i can get familiar with grass cache and PG patcher as well as the rest - TexGen, xLodGen.

I know that this process (DynDolod) is suppose to be the cherry on top on of the loadorder, so for example in my last play test i decided to lock the loadorder and generate Dyndolod. As if im finished with the project (finalizing it). Started a new game, played for a few days in which i generated Papyrus.0ForLL.log. Then i continued to play for about a week, Then i decided to stop the play test and continue with the work.

I wanted to check something in that save after i had already removed DyndoLod and then i discovered the stack dump happening on selling DD items to Lauras shop.

That's the additional info i could add if it helps.

Well.. that's kinda bad news.

I know which lines you are talking about. But I think, I don't really know how to  tracking the scrips down it seems.

Ugh, I wish i knew how to identify them..

I'm sorry if I'm being cheeky, but how would i go about doing that? I really want to know, because if I was to act right now, im stuck with the only solution - removing the mod thats causing it. ..and I dont want  that!

Thank you, again though!

Hi, I noticed you mentioned that you’d had problems with Precision and MNC mods. I don’t know if you knew about this mod:

Precision Animal Excluder

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/182156

Honestly, I don’t use it, but it might still be useful to you. I think you’ve got nothing to lose by trying it, since if it doesn’t work, it’s a DLL plugin that can be removed at any time without any problem. Cheers

Removing the mod causing this will be difficult, as there are multiple mods involved.

However, here's a quick note about the script errors. Often, IDs can be found in the log, for example, the ID of a quest that a specific script can't locate.

The IDs in Bethesda games always follow this format: The first two digits represent the position in the load order, and the last six digits are the sequential ID in the ESP/ESM/ESL.

The IDs are displayed in hexadecimal.

Therefore, you need to convert the first two digits from hexadecimal to decimal – this can be done with a Windows calculator. Simply switch the calculator to programmer mode, select HEX, enter the two values, and then switch to decimal. You can then search for the mod in the plugins.txt file.

Or, even easier, use Loot to find the mod, as Loot displays the load order (left window) directly in hexadecimal.

Once you have identified the mod, go to the corresponding mod page and read everything carefully, including all dependencies and posts.

Hey! Thanks for the suggestion! I was not aware of this mod. However, I haven't had any problems ever since rebuild the LL stack in the mod list, which happened after I posted that i had problem with it. Still kept Precision though.

Thanks!

FNIS reports errors even on FNIS. It's old, it's outdated, it doesn't like too many animations, it's slower than Maurice Jondrelle, and breaks if you even look at it funny. It was great back then, but it's a song of the past. Pandora "just works (tm)".

Funny, i would say the exactly opposite - FNIS is the one that really just works (really works, not in the way meant by Toad Howard).

The animation limit is never a problem, unless the user is a moron who installs every 5skeever gangbang animation they can find.
(those are harsh words, i admit - it is tedious to customize animation packages to remove unwanted animations, and it may be beyond the abilities of most users, so... OK, i guess i could give you this one).

But how is it "slower than Maurice"?
You run the tool, it generates the behaviors and that's that - who cares if that generation takes 10 seconds, or 20, or even a minute - you do it once after installing animations, and that's that.

Or are you trying to say that those behavior files somehow cause slowdowns of the game? while Pandora's behaviors do not?
I don't know about Pandora, but i never noticed ANY slowdowns of the game in any regard when using FNIS vs. when not using FNIS, even on a pretty shitty computer.
OR are you maybe referring to the FNIS scripts for alternative animations? ...those really are obsolete, and i cannot imagine a single reason for anybody using them, when we have something like OAR now.

How does FNIS "breaks if you look at it funny"?
Again, i have been using FNIS since it's inception up to present times, and i never witnessed it breaking.
Maybe you are talking about t-posing and similar animations glitches that happen when people mess their behaviors - remove/add/replace animation files without rebuilding behaviors after, or leave obsolete behavior files in their data - none of which is a fault of FNIS, but the user, and that can happen with any animation mod(s) the user has.

That all said...
I haven't been playing Skyrim in... maybe 10 months.
So maybe Pandora finally got it's shit together during the time of my absence - i would only hope so, but i will need to see that for myself first.

I've used Pandora for 2 or 3 years and have no problem with it but I agree with all your points about FNIS.

This thread was opened 12 months ago yet the OP is still searching for the Holy Grail of an error-free Papyrus log.

the OP

I'm just trying to understand more about Papyrus logging, man. I'm not trying to blindly eliminate all of the errors. I just want to know/have better understanding of why they're there.
